Absolutely fabulous spotlessly clean brilliant location a very vibrant hotel full of young people a joy to be there the staff all speak excellent English Very similar to our travel lodges and premier ins I would recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone
I stayed here two nights before the easter weekend. The hotel is on a perfect location. A short walk from the Zoologischer Garten metro/ train station, shops and tourist attractions.. A big and busy hotel. With a lot of youngsters. Personally i dont like such big and busy hotels. Check in went smooth. The room is basic and clean. Good bed, toilet and shower. The window vieuw was blocked by an indoor parking lot. But that didnt bother me. Wifi is good throughout the building. The rich buffet breakfast is optional (8.50euro). But the dining room is not atmospheric and impersonal. The hotel has a bar at the back of the lobby and an outside playground. It has an exit at the backside. If you take that exit it will lead you to a lot of eateries. So if you are looking for a basic, good and well priced hotel on a good location. Than this may be the hotel for you
Stayed 3 nights with 4 other staff members and 42 students ranging in ages from 13 up to 18. Hotel/hostel really impressed all of us, very clean and comfortable, staff were all helpful and friendly, breakfast and evening meals were excellent (packed lunches could have been a bit better though). Highly recommended it, I'd even return with my wife!!
Smooth check in. I had a number of rooms and the reception was ready to process us quickly. Rooms were a bit small but common for Europe. They were clean and had a more modern feel. It is off the road a bit which kept street noise down. Wifi was mixed. Seem to depend on the number of people using it at any given time. Rooms had effective A/C. Rooftop bar only open on weekends but you could get drinks downstairs and bring them to the roof. Three stops from train station but did take time to get to locations in the East. There are some homeless people the gather between the S bahn stop and hotel. I never felt threatened but some might find this unsettling. Found staff helpful at the desk and bar. Did not have breakfast but looked to be traditional fare. There is a grocery store and bakery in the S bahn station. Makes for a cheaper breakfast. Would use hotel on future stays in Berlin.
I recently visited Berlin from Monday 26th June to Thursday 29th June on a sixth form trip and stayed in the Aletto Hotel Kudamm. Overall our stay was good, however there were some downsides to our visit. For example, we were told in order to borrow towels from the hotel for showering, we would have to pay a €3 deposit which we would get back on our departure date as long as we took the towels back to the reception. On the Thursday me and a friend took our towels down to the reception expecting to receive our deposit back. When we enquired about the deposit the reception staff refused to give us the deposit back as apparently they don't give the deposits back at the hotel. What's the point of calling it a deposit when you don't get the deposit back at the end????? Also on our first day we were told that we would receive new towels in our room each day if we left our dirty towels on the bathroom floor... Each day we would return to the hotel to find the dirty towels still on the floor so we would have to go down to reception to ask for new towels. I would also like to point out that I didn't like the attitude of one of the bar men. When at the bar I asked for a 0.3L Becks. The barman obviously didn't hear me properly so he pulled a rude face and asked me to repeat my question, after waiting a few minutes to give him my room number, group name and showing him my hotel wristband, he then asked one of his colleges to serve me.... What was that all about? Other than that the hotel was pretty clean. There is a bar area, outside play ground, basketball court and football court, roof top bar, limited outdoor seating etc. Rooms are okay, very small beds, shower room, safe and small TV in most of the rooms. Free wifi throughout the hotel (fast during the day, extremely slow at night).
Went with friends for a short city break. We where looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a good central location (preferably near the zoo district). This place more than exceeded expectation. The large multi person rooms are a little hostelish in terms of layout, thought when sharing that is to be expected. Everything was very clean and modern and all amenities where working perfectly. The room was also very quiet considering it's location. Couldn't have asked for more.
Staying with family of 5 in downtown. Berlin at modest price. Here you get what you are looking for, clean, youth hostel type room (in our case with one king size bed and 2 bunk-beds on less than 20sqm, add to it a cheap but efficient breakfast and here you are right. Location just 50 from Bahnhof Zoo and Ku'damm adds to its advantages. Don't regret the deal
We came for a week away before my friend got married. They had no issue with a small group of blokes on a drinking holiday like most places do. The room itself was just what we needed and suited us perfectly. The overall prices of the hotel are okay. They are on the more expensive side of things but there is a super market 30 seconds away if you need anything. Lots of places to eat locally with plenty of places to drink too. The best part about this hotel is by far the girls on the reception and bar. Jessica, Arietta and Julia were absolutely great with us. Recommending places to go out to eat and drink and having a laugh and joke with us and all 3 have some of the best customer service I have seen. The boys on the bar are a little different. They don't chat or mingle and are hard to get a conversation out of. But that could easily be that their English isn't good. Overall we have had a great stay here and I would certainly return. Thank you
Very convenient location for connecting your travel with both Berlin airports and city center. The buffet breakfast was good. Nice public areas where you can sit and relax. Wi-Fi connection was strong and stavle
Located almost "at" Zoologischer Hbf train station close to Gedächnisch Kirche and Kudam, paying around € 45 for a clean and quiet room is good value for money. The hotel offers a decent breakfast buffet for € 8,50 which is ok, from 6.30am which is early. When you choose any hotel in Berlin, do consider where you want to go sight-seeing because few tourists fathom the size of the enormous city, but this should be a central starting point. .... and they have a pool table and a bar ;)
