This is a hostel not a hotel !!!! Fake adver !! Be carefull ! You ll find yourself within students noisy and long line waiting ! Im very angry about that !
I stayed at the this hotel for 5 days + 2 extra days because of the German airport strike. In general a very good hotel, specially because of the great location. A lot of great places to eat are a few blocks away, a supermarket almost next building and the U/S stations across. All the staff are millenials and they are quite friendly, specially if you have in mind that the words "germans" and "friendly" are rare when they are together. The breakfast is not included in the price but if you pay some extra then you get a very very good breakfast What I didn't like is that the last day they forgot to clean the room.
The hostel part is in the subterranean/basement and is rather crammed -- 10 people per room and the rooms are 60% occupied by the five "double deckers" The hotel part is above this basement, aka "backpacker area". I stayed there for 7 days and did not see any extremes, in addition to the usual, snoring, farting, etc to be usually found in places like this. It is noisy, since the workers start rolling their thundering carts out of the basement windows starting 6 am and the cars parking at the same time with their bumpers staring you through the windows do the same. Receptionists are kind, but not beyond that. Showers/bathrooms are clean, except, careless users flood the shower every now and then. Bases of bunk beds host deep drawers that you can store your stuff in, just bring a lock. The problem is these are noisy when people role them in and out often in the middle of night... There are also cassettes in the hallway you can put stuff in -- free, but operated by 2 euro coin. Only my last day, did I found out there was a communal kitchen with large fridge with abandoned "science projects" in it, laundry, ironing board, etc. Confusion was due to the fact that this is all behind the door that had a tag "women shower" Only after I saw a couple of lucky man coming out of this "shower" and questioned them did I find out about the amenities. If you have smart phone or tablet, you should be OK. The two terminals who people who have neither are mostly not working or are slow...
