We just recently stayed at the Adrema Hotel and were very pleased. It is centrally located with great bus service. There was nothing spectacular about the building or the neighborhood (Moabit) but it was clean, safe and the staff were professional and helpful. Small points of issue: as the front desk is set away from the front door it may be easy for anyone to walk in (we were always in by 8 or 9pm and I didn't see a key card secure entry access point). Also the carpet was worn out, but it was clean. The location was the best part - you are not paying premium hotel prices but we were never more than a 15 minute bus ride from all the central Berlin attractions. The transport service in Berlin is excellent and I encourage all to use it. We had a nice view of the River Spree and the Victoria Colum, along with the Berlin TV tower.
Pros: Location. Next to the river spree. Some rooms have excellent views. Clean spacious rooms. Helpful receptionists. Rooms cleaned to perfection every single day. Decent restaurant and Bar. Cons: Breakfast spread however good, was repetitive. Traffic noise may be a problem in street facing rooms if you decide to keep the windows open. Only German TV channels available - but I think this is a common phenomenon on Germany. Nearest Bahn station is 10 minute walk away. Bus Stop is a stone's throw away. Pros outweigh the cons and is definitely recommended.
It was a pleasant stay in the Hotel. Room was a typical, but it has all I need. I was in Berlin on business, I needed a bed, bathroom and a breakfast. It is close to the Tegel airport, but buy a day ticket AB at the airport, since it is possible to buy them only at U-bahn (metro). The hotel is reachable by 245 bus. Hotel is situated on the bank of Spree. By my opinion there should be more variety at breakfast. Anyway enjoyable stay.
An nice hotel with super customer service. They are always there if you need something. My airline lost my luggage and they've done everything to help me. Free parking available accros the street. Nearby the main attraction by car ( 2 minutes) Room are small but you find all you need. I recommend this hotel!
Hotel near the Spree canal so quite nice, not too far from central Berlin. Room was average but comfortable. Ours had a bathroom with glass walls which do not offer much privacy so best ask for one with regular walls or make sure you know the person you are sharing the room with very well! The highlight was the great customer service, every team member was ever so helpful and kind.
The hotel looks grand from the outside, perched beautifully on the River Spree, the old style gives it charm, it was obviously a factory of sorts. The reception is manned by really nice staff but they are over challenged, not once was there not a guest speaking with them about a problem or they were on the phone discussing a problem and people in line waiting to complain as well. Why all the complaining? Well it seems the hotel is saving money on staff. It is like walking through a public building, it does not feel comfortable at all, sort of free access to anyone walking by, a very strange feeling. The staff I did see were always nice, I found it odd to be pushed into the rear of the elevator by the towel carts and smelly used towels but I am not so sensitive. I think this hotel could excel and I believe the right attitude is there but they need more staff and they need proper training for conflict management; saying "yes we will take care of it" only works when they actually take care of it. I checked in, went to my room and reported the air con is out, before I left I put a card on top of the door to know if anyone was in the room (I always do this) it falls when the door is opened. I came back from a meeting 3 hours later and asked; "was it repaired", I got the "yes it was" and went to my room, opened my door and the card fell into my hands and of course the air con was not working. Not happy, by that time it was to late, the technician went home. BUT; I was given free MiniBar and a 20% room discount. A good business hotel, easy.
The hotels location isn't too far from the centre, either walking or by public transport. We walked majority of the time to the centre. Great food and bar locations situated around the hotel. Lovely view of the river, having breakfast by the river in the sun it is so relaxing. The rooms are clean and big with all the facilties you need including a hair dryer and air conditioning. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend of you want a reasonable price week/weekend away in berlin.
Hotel was easily checked into, room was lovely and clean, Great breakfast plenty to pick from. Easy to get to Berlin Center we got a day bus ticket for AB areas for 7 Euros each, which will take you to anywhere you need to get to, also ticket will get you on trams or trains, bus stop across and down from hotel and round the corner get the 245 and 5 stops later in the main train station a stroll through the shops that are there which, are quite a few and you can walk to the Brandenburg gate and everywhere else that you would like to see, the hop on hope buses are there as well before you get to the gate really enjoyed my time at the hotel and in Berlin.
The hotel sits on the corner of the river Spree and a busy bridge. I travelled with public transport which was easy as there are a few bus stops near the hotel. Busses go to the airport (Tegel), the main station, the Zoo or the shopping streets. If you prefer a taxi, no problem. They press a button and one is there within 3 or so minutes. I cannot say anything about the parking facilities. The room was okay, smaller than expected, but with a very comfortable bed. Everything was also spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and efficient. If you need to print boarding passes and such, there's a free computer with a printer in the lobby. The substantial breakfast buffet spread was excellent with lots of variety. The breakfast area is in the restaurant and this faces the river. A nice view while sipping your tea! The attached restaurant serves amazing food, but there are also many other eating options in the area around the hotel. I would definitley stay here again. Stayed two nights and have no complaints other than: 1. The headboard in my room was back to back with the lift/elevator, so you could hear whirring and ringing (the floor buttons) noises, especially at night. 2. Guests talking in the hallway could also be heard through the door. 3. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, which is strange for a 4-Star hotel. 4. The bathroom and the bed is separated by a frosted glass "wall" with a round porthole. I'm confused about this "peeping-tom" feature though. 5. The bathroom door is a sliding glass door which does not buffer any light or sounds. Not good when sharing a room!
I stayed here for 6 nights for business. It is the hotel closest to my office and turned out to be a very comfortable and quiet stay. My room looked out onto the Spree where tourist boats glided by every hour or so. The hotel is a short walk to the Zoo and Tier Garten. There's a restaurant and bar attached to the hotel and MANY options for eating just a short walk away. The staff was helpful, attentive, and speak english. Overall, a great stay.
