Nice hotel, quiet room comfortable bed. Plenty of parking. Only one restaurant open, but good choice of food. Atrium bar had a nice pint of London pale ale. Decent shower in the bathroom. Not too many people staying when I was there it seemed. Will certainly use again.

Booked a weekend stay as we were visiting friends in Reading and then travelling to London. The hotel was easy to find and there was plenty of parking available. Checking in was done efficiently enough but in a business-like manner. The room was a decent size but the fittings were quite basic - no frills. Twin beds were not especially comfortable and the bathroom was OK but no more. The view was of the huge car park. Breakfast was the usual buffet with a good choice available. Typical of a style of hotel that the traveller can find everywhere - comfortable enough but bland and characterless.

Arrived at this hotel and upgraded to a suite for a night away and some shopping. I would highly recommend the upgrade, it was an extra £40, but well worth it. I have visited here a number of times and have to say I have never been disappointed. I always find the rooms clean and very comfortable and .great value for money. The atrium bar is nice. Not too pricey. The breakfast is always good, well kept and plentiful. I've never eaten in Le Cafe for any other meal time as I have always headed into the oracle where there is an excellent choice of restaurants. All in all a great hotel. I will definitely continue to stay there.

Stayed here for one night as part of the Cilantro deal for a birthday celebration. Rooms were basic but clean and accommodating. We had access to the pool, jacuzzi and sauna - definitely not 5* facilities but fun to use the jacuzzi and sauna before getting ready for dinner. The 7 course meal we had was amazing, the service was impeccable. We also paid for the buffet breakfast which was worth it. Would definitely recommend to couples look for a night away and I would definitely return.

The hotel was not busy when we arrived but as there were over a hundred of us it was then. Our rooms were allocated quickly with no fuss but were not much better than a travelog, but what can you expect. Food in the cafe was fine but not used to paying £15 for fish and chips. As you will read from all the other reviews the breakfast was rearly good, made, up for the cost of the meal and some.

Stayed at the hotel for one night as a stop over to visit The Chelsea flower show. The hotel was wonderful. Really lovely staff and our evening meal was superb. Breakfast was gorgeous. Cafe was really busy at breakfast time. We came down just after 7am and there was hardly anywhere to sit but the staff were calm and courteous even under the pressure.

Stayed here to go to the attached Madejski stadium to attend a match as an away fan. Got an upgrade to a great corner mini-suite on arrival that was very comfortable and I was given a really nice basket of complimentary fruit. Bed very comfortable and room clean, staff friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was a bit tepid but to be fair we had all just come back in after the fire alarm had gone off. The best bit about the hotel if you are going to the match is it allows you to avoid the awful traffic afterwards. I went up to my room at least 60 minutes after the match and some poor souls were still trying to get out of the car parks. It was a 5 minute walk from the hotel to my seat in the away end and the same afterwards. If Reading get promoted I'll be using this hotel next season.

Stayed overnight while we prepped the conference area for the next day. There was a rugby match on that evening and this significantly impacted the quality of the stay. Not the hotel's fault of course and it is a hotel attached to a sports stadium so not unreasonable! However, I suggest travellers not attending a fixture just check to see if there's something on that evening as it makes the hotel, bar and restaurant extremely busy and does cause delays to being served. Having said that, the staff were all unfailingly polite and helpful although you could see the stretch in the restaurant in the length of time it took for us to get served. Room was good size and clean but I really didn't like that the view was of the internal bar atrium area. I love a bit of fresh air and the windows wouldn't open so I was stuck with the air con all night. If this is you, ask for an outside room, even if it only overlooks the huge car park area!

Hotel was great, the staff really helpful and willing to help. The room was a little basic but for the price a great hotel, the bed was not as comfortable as one would expect. The breakfast had great variety, specifically the honey and Jam dispenser was original. Staff were great and service was prompt. Parking was included as was free Wifi

Don't get the positive reviews for this hotel. They need an upgrade, looks like it was built in the 90's from the interior, just worn out. Two twins in the room, never seen that before. Rooms were large, bathrooms were decent size as well. Staff in general, didn't seem they want to work there, no one speaks to you in the hall. Wish Marriott would build a hotel in Reading...
