The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff was professional and polite. Well located, we could move easily to most places of interest in the city. It is a good hotel to stay in Bergamo. I would stay there again.
Arrived at the bus station to find this hotel a 5 minute walk away. Location was perfect for bus and train station and for local bus stops. Also near to the Hotel was a supermarket and many lovely places to eat. You were spoiled for choice. Check-in was seamless and we were allocated our room on the second floor. There were 2 lifts which were always available. The room was spacious as was the toilet and shower area with bath and shower. Toiletries consisted of shower gel, shampoo and soap. Pretty basic. Room had tea and coffee making facilities. Our room was to the back of the Hotel with a not so nice outlook. This did not bother us as we were hardly ever in the room. The balcony was long with no balcony furniture. Bedding was lovely and beds were comfortable. Only one plugpoint in the room (that I could find) which is not ideal when you have phones, tablets , straighteners etc. The main hallway carpet was in need of a good clean. Breakfast was okay, although the two hot dishes which were normally a bacon and sausage combo and scrambled eggs were always cold and I could not see a microwave to heat anything up. Checkout was 12 noon and our cases were kept in a very secure luggage room whereby you were given a ticket. Girls in reception were very good and knowledgeable. There was a small bar which we never saw anyone use. All in all the best thing about this hotel is its fantastic location and I would certainly use again.
We stayed for one night at the hotel and haven't come across such incompetent receptionists so far. The room was paid in advance but on the day of arrival 10 euro were blocked on the credit card. The receptionist explained it's done automatically and the money would get back. On the day of departure there was another receptionist, Crystyna, at the desk.I'm used to friendly and helpful hotel stuff but this case made me disappointed for the first time in my life. I'm good at English and can speak some Italian, so in all situations I'm able to work all the misunderstanding out. This receptionist spent almost half an hour looking for some papers, then she understood we only stayed for one night (such a problem to understand it when you have all the information about guests on the computer), that's why all this "endless search" was useless. But she could ask us at least?! The most surprising she speaks and understands Russian, which would make it we easier to understand what she was looking for. She didn't even care to admit she understands our language till I asked her! Is it really a four-star hotel belonging to a popular hotel chain? That's how we welcome guests and make our stay and leaving comfortable? Really?! Moreover she was surprised that 10 euro were blocked and considered it to be a previous receptionist's mistake!!! She wasn't able to explain when the money would get back on the card. Maybe in a month...Maybe... It's the first time when some money is blocked on the card when the room is already paid!!! The most disappointing nobody apologized for wasted time and blocked money...just nothing. I'll never recommend this hotel to anyone. Besides, the room is tiny with a bathroom in front of the bed. It wasn't cleaned well. Can't be a four-star hotel....though location is not bad.
The location is very central, therefore is very difficult to park there even to unload the luggage. Room and bathroom are big and comfortable. Breakfast is excellent. Our room had its windows directly to the roof eave and the curtains were falling down.
The rooms have a good size and the bathroom is clean. However thet should upgrade the curtains as in the room I stayed were broken. The breakfast was ok as food however the coffee was quite poor in terms of quality. They should upgrade it. Great location as an extra point.
We were in a new room which was in a strange location. You had to go through the break fast room to get to it which was difficult with case. The room was clean and comfortable except that the air conditioning didn't work properly and the net curtains were falling down, leaving you exposed to the street if you pulled the main curtain. Breakfast very average coffee disgusting. Staff were helpful though.
NIce place to stay. In our case we arrived to Bergamo Airport, Hub of Ryan Air, from Bari and we stayed a couple of days until our flight to home from Milano Malpensa. The hotel is very closed to the railway station and to the center of the town
The stand out for this hotel was Silvia Luca. When we arrived I was extremely stressed having just had my mobile stolen..pick pocketed. She went out of her way to contact the previous hotel to make sure it wasn't there. It wasn't. We were staying 2 nights...and had the following night booked in Colico. We discovered there was to be a train strike the day we were to travel. Again she went out of her way to check the status of strike, help with the language in contacting the next hotel and making sure we could book an extra night and remain in the same room. What was a potential horror few days was turned around by this personable young lady. Many thanks. She is gold and I'm sure will go far. When I thanked her..her response was "I'm just doing my job". I was prepared to suck up the very tired decor which smacks of neglect. And I was living with the fact that the “Business centre” not open because the one and only computer was away being fixed. And the fact that it took two days to rectify the rumbling noise in the AC - which was at least something because I gave up on explaining that it wasn’t cool enough. But what tipped me over the edge was the response from room service that the only meal available at 8pm was toast. A litany of pathetic excuses followed. Avoid this “hotel” at all costs.
Best location you can ask for. Its located on the main street, the shopping street, within walking distance of restaurants and stores. Its 15 min walk to the funicular that takes you to the older upper district "Citta Alta". the receptionist were very helpful, the room was very clean and nicely designed. Please note that the hotel does not have private parking, there's parking nearby (just behind the hotel, 1 min walking) which costs 15 euros per day.
