Small boutique guest house lovingly restored, super cosy in a residential part of Bergama. Five minutes walk to the red basilica and 10-15 minutes to the foot of Bergama. The rooms are beautiful, courtyard is lovely. Owner super helpful and honest. I could stay in that house for a month! Highly recommended!
We stayed here for only1 night to visit Pergamon. We really loved this guest house. Our host,Vedat, was so hospitable. The rooms are beautiful and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent and varied and included fried eggs, honey and kaymak which was just yum. Vedat also arranged for a taxi to take us to Selcuk at an reasonable rate. We definitely recommend this hotel for Bergama.
This little hotel has only 3 bedrooms so hurry up if you want to get the chance to experience a night in this charming place. Vedad has renovated the hotel three years ago and you will find everything to make your stay comfortable including a good capuccino for breakfast. Most important, it still preserves the charm of an old townhouse with patio, just at the foot of the Acropol and overlooking the city. Just one comment of caution: if you come by car, don’t follow Google Maps as it may lead you through the narrow streets of Old Pergamon, and these were built before cars were invented!
We were so impressed with the hospitality here, such a delightful couple who own this beautiful property with just three handsomely-decorated rooms. They are so knowledgeable about Pergamon, its rich history, and they really love the area. Each of the rooms has different decor and furnishings, and should you go off-season as we did you might ask to have a look. We also enjoyed their dinner recommendation at Akropolis just across the old Roman road (see separate review); in fact, they dined there the same evening we did. Note this part of town is especially historic with its ancient paving stones and other hidden gems. It's relaxing and tranquil here, highly recommended. Finally we loved the breakfast, the menamen alone (see photo) is worth a repeat visit.
I truly loved staying two nights at this small and beautiful hotel. Vedat, the hotel owner, emailed me the day before asking if I need anything and helped telling me how to get from the Izmir Airport to the hotel using the metro and bus. I stayed in one of the rooms upstairs. It was big, comfortable and very clean. The hotel is an old Greek house in the old neighborhood of Bergama. I walked to all the historic and ancient sites of the city and even had dinner across the street at a restaurant. I sat down and talked with Vedat and the other guests at the hotel. Breakfast was great and served fresh. The rooms have A/C units and in the hot weather it worked perfectly. Vedat even drove me to the bus stop to go back to the Izmir airport. I would definitely stay here again.
It's a 5-minute walk uphill from the town center. With full stomach 7 minutes. With backpack perhaps 8 minutes. I loved it up there, because it is above the business of the town center, very quiet and with a lovely view through the trees. During the day the trees provide shadow, so you should be able to stay cool despite the burning sun. The wooden interior makes it very cozy - I worked a bit on my laptop at the table, it felt very 'poety'. The owner is very friendly and was very concerned that everything is alright. The photos reflect very well how it is - there's no manipulation to make things look better.
My wife and I went to Bergama to see the Pergamon Acropolis and the Asklepion there. Originally we had planned to stay at another hotel there but found it closed in the off season. On the way back we stopped to see about some food and spotted this hotel. It is half way up the hill toward the Acropolis so it has a great location and view. The owner is very pleasant and speaks english so there is no problem with communicating. An excellent Turkish breakfast was included and our host went all out to provide a very high quality of food. We enjoyed our stay.
Fiyat-performans açısından on numara beş yıldız..
