The staff (Rebecca) was welcoming and friendly making check in easy and enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable for a great stay. I appreciate the care that was taken in the morning to keep breakfast items stocked all the way through the open hours.

The fire alarm went off at 3:40 am due to a faulty panel. Staff didn’t communicate as everyone stood outside. 30 minutes later fire dept. arrived. After finally getting back in our room around 4:30 am the strobe continued to go off and then again the fire siren went off.

Waiting to return to my room.

Fire alarm went off at 3:30 in the morning. All the guests went outside as if there was an actual fire. We sat outside over 30 minutes before the fire department even got to the hotel. It’s been close to a hour standing outside the hotel on a chilly Michigan early morning with no information as to why we are out here. This stay is officially a disaster.

This was the worse stay I ever had hit tub had green algae ring we stsyecon 3rd floor no elevator, no discount. Next day would not move us down to 2nd or 1st floor. Bathroom toilets stained and dirty . Lotta things broken in the room Building smelled damp . Just will never stay at quality in anywhere , too scared! Very sad😝

We did not see any disgusting bugs so that was a big deal! We appreciate the warm food available in the morning...in fact, the waffles, hot sausage, eggs, etc. is better that any continental breakfast I ever encountered. BUT, the stained carpet, yuck, the broken elevator, the greenish pool & the cold, broken hot tub was TOO MUCH!! MY BILL SHOULD BE 1/2 WHAT I PAID. Thank the lord the air conditioning in the room worked and we loved the pillows, the bed was comfortable and the curtains are total black out!

I chose this hotel based on ratings and I have to say, they were correct. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good, room was clean. Only complaint was the elevator was not working and we were on the second floor. We walked a lot everyday visiting different places so we were exhausted by the time we came back to the hotel and had to climb stairs. Otherwise I would stay there again.

This location was nice, close drive to shopping and the beach. However, when I booked the website said the hotel offered a pool and hot tub, but when we arrived there was a sign stating the hot tub wasn't working. I would have booked next door if I had known this, website wasn't updated to reflect no hot tub. At check in, I was told the elevator wasn't working, and asked if I wanted to go ahead with my booking. I stepped back and said I was going to check the hotel next door to see if we could still book a room there instead, as they DID have a working hot tub. As soon as the desk lady heard me say that, she quickly told me at the hotel next door (Baymont) their elevator was out as well. I hesitated, but ultimately believed her and went ahead with booking, checking in on the 3rd floor. We went over to the Baymont the next day, and I asked if their elevator was working or not, as Quality Inn told me it was not. She looked confused and said yes it is in fact working. I felt upset immediately knowing this hotel lied to me in order to keep my booking. Choice hotels offered me rewards points in exchange for my less than great experience, but I am not sure I will trust them again.
