a very quiet place, big enough to bring the family and have the kids run around.
Check in was smooth. Office staff was very pleasant. Our room was squeaky clean and the view...the view. There’s nothing like Lake Michigan. There is no beach access if that’s what you’re looking for, but we knew that and really appreciated looking at the lake and that excellent sunset. The pools were clean and heated. Would like to return next year for a longer stay.
The property was beautifully located. Sunsets every night were beautiful. The cell service was horrible and had a hard time getting someone to the front desk both on check in and check out. Was disappointed in lack of breakfast that was advertised on website but I understand with the coronavirus but a discount would have been in order.
The toilet seat is broken, musty smell, terrible beddings, motel 6 may have better linens, discolored towels, understaffed, bad cold coffees, stern owner, noises go through walls, I am sorry the price is too expensive for the accommodation.. 2 stars We left the next for a two day reservation.. went to Holiday Inn Express
The room was clean, but smaller than I expected considering the price I paid. Quite dated, but cutlery, plates, and glasses are included in the cupboard above the sink. There's a microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker. Mini fridge gets cold enough to turn our soda into slushies. It's adequate. It's got a nice view of the lake if you specifically get a lake view room. No lake/beach access. The beach is nearby but not walkable. Terrible cell signal but decent Wi-Fi. No other amenities really. The continental breakfast is a rotation of store bought pastries, fruits, granola, oatmeal, cereals, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt. Rec room had really old-school games, but there's a pool table. No amenities were accessible off season though, like the outdoor pool, hot tubs, even rec room (we just saw what games they had but it wasn't set up yet). There's an eerie flute noise playing randomly through the day and night, take that as you will. We never figured out what it was. Nice place if you're looking for a secluded lake view in a quaint setting away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Sleepy town feel, great for a romantic getaway. I had low expectations reading some reviews, but I had a decent experiences. Main complaint is price. I wish breakfast had bacon and warm eggs, or something warm aside from coffee for the price.
Nice room. Fireplace stopped working during our stay and we had a bit of an Asian beetle
Beautiful grounds, tranquil n spectacular views of lake
Nice hotel, had a great time, peaceful rooms was good and Clean nice place to stay, enjoyed the sunset from the bluff. Staff was friendly and free breakfast was good. Pool was clean.
This is not a nice resort! Ants in the breakfast area and the expensive "lake view" was obstructed by buildings, fences and the dirty, green water of the outdoor pool / jacuzzi area. The manager is condescending and demeaning. The room is OVERPRICED and the pictures on-line are deceptive!!!
