A hidden gem. From the front a very unassuming looking property. Hidden behind the main buildings are park-like grounds, an inviting looking pool area, and a tennis/pickleball court. My room was garden-variety,(their "economy" room) but comfortable and clean. One down note was the TV wasn't very clear, but still watchable.
I needed to stay in Bennington and chose this Inn. I was happy with my choice. The room was clean and comfortable. I was able to get a good night's sleep. I checked out and the cafe I picked for breakfast was close by as well as the site of my business meeting. I would definitely return if I needed to stay in Bennington again. Also, the room charge was reasonable.
Bad odor in hallway and room. I think it was the carpet. No breakfast even though advertised.
Nice place, quiet relaxing. Great spot to rest up for busy fun days!
Clean basic place. Very noisy the night I stayed. I little out dated.
The Paradise Inn was a ideal place for our stay. I was attending a art workshop and my husband (and our dog) where going backpacking on the Long Trail.
The first thing I noticed was the smell...mildew. The entire building smelled this way with no relief in the room, in fact it was worse. It never abated and really spoiled the entire stay. This was followed by a bathroom that smelled just shy of a gas station toilet frequented only by truckers. That is inexcusable. Either they need to do a better job cleaning the toilet of perhaps need to lift them and change the wax seals. Whatever: that kind of smell has no place in a room I have to pay to sleep in. The room itself was just ok, if rather dark, and the bed was comfortable. The tiny shower stall had no grab bars at all and while I am not ancient yet, there was absolutely nothing to hold on to. The window screen was obviously repaired by a non professional and there were gaps where the screen was improperly installed through which bugs could easily enter. I liked not having to sign up for the wifi. I would not stay here again, even for free.
The Paradise Inn has a great location near downtown Bennington, highways, and the Bennington Museum - IF you can find it. There is a big sign leading to a circular drive off the highway, but the building where you expect the office says it is a Baptist College Library. The signage indicating that the hotel is behind that building is obscure. The desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room is clean and basic but reasonably comfortable, although the bed had some bumps and valleys.
The hotel was nice, the rooms were spacious the staff courteous. Overall a nice stay, nothing stellar just nice. [...]
