Would absolutely stay there again. Very nice room and quiet

Palmer Resort had motel plus suites in other buildings. Grounds were very well kept. Swimming pool and numerous lawn games set up for use; picnic tables also.

I loved that there was no carpeting in the room thus cutting down on molds & allergens. The shower, toilet & sink had a door closing it off from the drssing area that held another sink. There was also a small refrigerator in the room.

This is a great little property, walking distance to downtown Manchester. It has a nice indoor lap pool, and a 2-person hot tub, as well as an outdoor pool and spa, plus a 9 hole executive golf course on property, free to guests. It is also reasonably close to Stratton and Bromley for skiing. They feature a nice continental breakfast, and all the staff we met was really wonderful, some we met have been working there over 20 years, and they shared the history of the property with us. Will definitely go back this summer/fall for another visit.

I enjoyed staying in Palmer House. It was close enough to Stratton, Bromley and Magic Mountain for a much more affordable price than the resorts on those mountains. The rooms were big. I didn't get to try the Jacuzzi but the heated pool was nice. It was good to have a breakfast that lasts until 10 AM.

All good except no working tv. Just wanted to relax Sunday evening and enjoy tv. Been traveling for 2 weeks without some quiet time. Disappointed.

Staff was extremely accomadating. Room was freshly painted, so there were still paint fumes. Bed was hard. I liked it, spouse didn't. Room was very clean. Had a couple sinks, one was partially clogged. Outdoor pool was cloudy due to extreme heat of temp outside during 4th of July week. Hot tub was green. Thankfully they had a fabulous indoor pool and jacuzzi. They also have a fire pit and chairs, and a chip and putt golf course. They have a Tavern bar/restaurant but we didn't have time to try that.

Ruth at front desk was so helpful and friendly. Parking was ample and easy and room was super clean and beds were comfy.

We were only there for one night this year but we've stayed at Palmer House before and find it a very comfortable place to stay. The room is a really nice and relaxing size. We've been to Manchester, VT three times in the past and have always decided to stay at Palmer House both for it's location and comfort.

Clean and comfortable, rooms are spatious. It is kind of outdated, for example the coffee maker in the room is very old and there was only one regular coffee pouch for two people. The breakfast is basic, mini bagels and english muffins out of the box, butter and jams in the typical prepackaged size, greek yogurt was actually good. There was a locally made coffee cake that disappeared within the first 5 minutes of breakfast and never replenished. Other than that, it is perfectly nice for a short stay in between hitting the slopes. The warnings about monitoring of Internet bandwidth use are a bit over the top.

Great place to stay in Manchester, VT! Central located and very afforable.

We needed a place to stay for one night last minute. Orbitz came through and we chose the Palmer House. We only went by the pics and the price. We were pleasantly surprised at the location, the grounds, the amenities and the quiet of this quaint and comfortable place in Manchester. Even though we only stayed one night, the morning before we left my husband was able to walk the grounds and trail and do a round of golf which was free. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! Also, the staff was friendly, the continental free breakfast was good, the room was spacious and we had no complaints! We also enjoyed sitting outside our room looking across the field. Great stay.

Room well appointed, large and very clean with sitting area, small fridge, 2 sinks, one in bathroom, other w/ fridge, great indoor pool and hot tub, if you are there in warm weather they have 9 holes of golf, crochet, 2 tennis courts, fishing pond, out door pool and hot tub, continental breakfast and great staff, great location in Manchester, only down side is you could hear shower running next room but would definitely go back.

Had a great experience. clean room. Lovely facilities.

Great location ,nice room , great staff. We like that there was plenty of variety in places to eat and shop.

Large room, clean and perfectly located. I have been there in the past and will go back.

A foliage viewing trip. Our room was a king size bed with seating area, a separate vanity area, and a separate bathroom area with tub and shower. Small back windows allowed us to let air cool the rooms. Air conditioning was there, but not needed. The ceiling fan over the bed was useful as well. Light breakfast was available for a small fee, but we easily could walk to the best two breakfast places in town. Two excellent restaurants were also a bout a 5 minute walk. By car, it is two minutes or so to the Orvis flagship store and their outlet, as well as many other outlets. The Northshire Book Store is within walking distance of the hotel and is a wonderful place. The hotel is surrounded by a pitch and putt golf course, a croquet lawn, and, in summer, an outdoor pool. Nice views of the mountains from the grounds as well. The bed was a little soft for our tastes, but comfortable and we slept well. We used the small refrigerator to hold beverages and leftovers from restaurants. In summary, we found the Palmer House comfortable and convenient. If you want the big hotel feel, or have young children, go somewhere else. We liked it and would stay there again.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff were friendly. We found it to be a bit dated and overpriced. It was especially surprising to see a sign posted at breakfast requesting a $2.50 per person fee. The best use of Palmer House would be as a week long resort in one of the chalets. They have a nice setup for that type of stay.

Nice motel style hotel. Perfect location. Great rooms (roomy, clean, up to date ). Very comfy and economical
