The last time I visited this hotel was 8 months ago. This time it was on 5th November for a lovely Champagne brunch. This place sparkles with positive vibes. Moreover this time around, I spotted a change in some of the uniform designs. Whoever designed them has surely done a fantastic job to match this architectural beauty named ITC windsor. Last month I had the opportunity to spend a whole week in central London at the Savoy Hotel -One of the first luxury hotels in the world with Caezar Ritz being its first GM and Escoffier its first Head Chef. Now, for me ITC Windsor is the Savoy of India. A similar lobby (except Savoy do not believe having a reception desk as all guests enjoy in-room checkin) and then The Savoy showcases Gordon Ramsay and the worlds best bar (The American Bar) whereas ITC Windsor boasts of Dakshin and Dublin near its lobby both serving great food and beverage to the discerning guests. Both these hotels compare well because of the Raj era history associated with both UK and India. This is the first time I tasted the famed Fabelle chocolate. Enter the lobby and look straight - you cant miss this. Being a choco addict myself, I never miss out on any. Few months ago I enjoyed Godiva at its St Lambert st. in Brussels and also Charbonnel et Walker's pink champagne truffle during a stroll towards the famed Seville street. In India, If there were something similar to the British Royal Warrants, I would say Fabelle would be the only one in India representing chocolate. Service as always was the best. The whole team infact the team of chefs and service associates did an immaculate job to make sure we were well taken care. To mention a few - Chef Dhiren whom I consider the pillar of Raj Pavilion, Chef Andrew - for the awesome caesar he prepared for us, Managers Asif and Aman for their eye for detail in serving us made sure we receive only the best. Satish too made the service look elegant. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who expects nothing but the best in luxury. Kudos to the management who have kept this property shining and the great hardware look to the buffet for an even evelated look and feel. If you are visiting Bengaluru anytime. This hotel must be on your list of things to do before you leave the city. If you are there on a Sunday, dont miss the brunch and surely book for a dinner at the famed Royal Afghan, Dakshin or Dum Pukht. Keep up the great job Windsor. You are the best in Luxury
Have stayed at this property many times over the last several years and have always found their service to be very personal and excellent. Their Towers wing is the newer section while the Manor wing has a lovely old-world charm to it. The rooms are very comfortable and what makes it special is the Sunbeam Coffee that one can enjoy first thing in the morning. Their breakfast buffet has a nice variety that would cater to a wide range of tastes. They have a lovely bar (Dublin) for one to have a nice drink or two after work and a South Indian fine-dining option (Dakshin) that should be tried atleast once. If you do get a room in the Towers Wing, definitely ask for a room with a balcony - I have stayed in a few of them and really like the open-air option in a hotel room. The hotel is located in a very quite area but still close to the CBD. Close to a railway line, so the occasional passing train is the only sound that one would hear.
Great architecture, beautiful surroundings, quiet ambience, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff, are some of the things you can look forward to, if you stay in ITC Windsor at Bengaluru. Also, getting there is easy, take the AC bus from the airport, and it will drop you just 100 m from the hotel's entrance.
Right from the time you enter the Gate of ITC Windor, you will know why it is called a luxury boutique hotel. Right from the guard at the door to the chef at the breakfast buffet, the treatment you get is “A” class. For business purposes I have stayed at several national/international 5 star hotels but ITC Windor was a league apart. Everybody addresses you by name, right from the time you check in to whenever you make a call to the reception. There is a smile & greet attitude which each and every one at the hotels wears by their sleeves. The hotel is situated in what I call a “Green Belt” – beautiful uphill road and greenery all around. Right is the heart of the city and very easily accessible from the Airport. The rooms are very tastefully done in colonial style. Breakfast is superb. Special mention to chef Dhiren Das who used to come up to me during breakfast, look at my plate and say “Mam, why are you eating so little?” Loved the friendly ambiance at the hotel. A must visit if you go to Bangalore.
Confortable room, charming staff, great food, especially breakfast in an amazing environment. The hotel is happy to help you to organise transfers and trips, everybody wants to make your stay unforgettable! Recommended
Stayed here for three days with my family and it was a wonderful experience. The rooms were spacious and clean while maintaining the old world charm. Same for the lobby as well which has its own grandeur and is extremely well kept. The breakfast buffet seems to lack variety for anyone staying for more than one night as I ended up eating the same thing every time due to the lack of options. Mallika and Uthanga were exceptional in their customer service and went out of their way to ensure that my family and I had the most comfortable stay.
This hotel is a little out of the center of Bangalore. It is in a lush surrounding with its colonial looking building. The rooms are spacious but feels like it’s lacking furniture, as the tv just hangs on the wall in front of the bed but with no sideboard or furniture under it, a bit odd looking. There are no useable sockets or usb sockets around the room or on the desk or bedside cabinets, impossible to charge phones or tablets/laptops! This hotel tries to look like a 5 star property but is seriously lacking the finesse. The staff at this hotel are extreamly helpful and welcoming.
