Nice place to be with Family in the nature... lots of games, swimming.. good bar on the swimming pool..clean rooms.. large conference room with big screen, sound system... friendly staff ..big property with lots of trees and flowers
Stayed only for one night for some business workshop. Experience was average. Positive: Calm and quite environment, very conducive for focused work. Many conf rooms are available and can accommodate large teams. Friendly and accommodating staff. , Food was average , Breakfast doesn't have many options ,But overall nicely built up huge property and a good weekend gateway
I stayed in this resort for 3 days to attend a meeting. Ideal place for conferences . Far away from City , being a big property it is ideal to have conferences . Food & & service was great. Rooms are ok. It is a bit run down. Room service is excellent. Breakfast too was great
One of the very good place i have seen for stay and enjoy your time here. we have spent very good quality time with our group during our stay. The hotel stay was awesome and really memorable. The food taste was also good.
Stayed at The Golden Palms Hotel and Spa over the weekend from Saturday30th September through Monday( 2nd October,Gandhi Jayanti). It was a long weekend with Monday being off; the hotel was fully booked. I travelled with 2 friends and booked directly with the hotel. Check- in formalities were carried out smoothly and quickly. We were allocated a room on the ground floor with pool view, near their restaurant; Cafe Solaire. The room was spacious with a sit out, the fridge in the room was not working, nor was there a mini bar. The bathroom was spacious too but the shower door did not seal tight and hence the water would flood the dry area of the bathroom. What I liked: 1.Spacious property nice to stroll around large enough to walk/jog . 2. lots of flora however it would be nice if the names of the respective plants/flowers are mentioned beside them. 3. Well equipped gym, separate section for ladies, jacuzzi/ steam and sauna. 4.lots of activities to chose from. The overall ambience is pleasing. What I did not like: 1. This property boasts of a large swimming pool and it was one of the main reasons we booked our stay. However the main pool was under renovation and this was not mentioned anywhere on their website. The recreational pool was available but guests were using it in their regular clothes instead of in proper swimming attire. 2. We had laid the towels that were given to us, for using jacuzzi on a bench nearby, the attendant walked in with a few other guests and gave them our towels leaving but 1 towel between 3 of us and told us he would replace our towels by the time we finished. Neither the attendant nor the towels were available after we were done in an hour. I had to wait in my wet costume for 30 mins while my friend tried to find the attendant/towel. 3. For dinner we ordered room service, a vegetable combo that came with 1 roti so we asked for 2 extra rotis, the bill however was charged at 125 INR for 3 rotis. On calling to clarify was told it was charged as such because we ordered from the round the clock menu as opposed to room service menu , when this explanation was challenged/questioned the call was handed over to another staff and he spoke rudely with his voice raised. A revised bill was then presented. 4. After meals in the room, the dishes placed outside the room is not cleared till much later, the guests staying next door to us ordered all their meals in room and would place the dishes outside close to our door, From a hygienic aspect in a 5* property this is a huge concern let alone the aesthetic aspect. 5.For our spa experience we had a chat with the person incharge at the time of booking and mentioned we wanted head massage along with the body massage we chose, on consulting with the PIC we all chose the ayurveda massage which includes head massage in the rates, however this was not told to us. The spa staff would have cunningly charged us 3000+ taxes for head massage alone if we had not questioned the bill. 6.On Sunday the Cafe Solaire had a lunch buffet with live counters and unlimited drinks, This was not communicated to us either via posters posted at the cafe (which is usually the norm in other good properties)nor by call. It being a long weekend there were a lot of guests who had taken a day only package and I guess the management wanted more paying customers and deliberately did not mention the Sunday buffet to the guests who had already paid for rooms! 7. On spotting a cappuccino machine during breakfast I asked for a cup and was told by a person of the staff that it was not working, when I saw another guest having cappuccino in span of no less than 10 minutes I asked another staff why the lies, she first said that it was only a steamer, when I told her I know a cappuccino machine when I see one and that a another guest was having the same, she then offered me a cup!!! The only reason I feel compelled to review this hotel is because it charges as per a 5* property, but leaves a lot to be desired in the 5* experience including staff who are not soft skill trained. Discrepancies while billing are human errors and one can overlook the fact, but dubious ways of billing is just not acceptable! Will I revisit this property again? I probably will, I will first brush up on my mathematical skills!
Had been at Golden Palms for nearly two weeks for a project offsite. Overall experience was very good. Positive: Calm and quite environment, very conducive for focused work. Many conf rooms are available and can accommodate large teams. Friendly and accommodating staff. Good restaurant (Cafe Solaire). Chef and managers paid personal attention to ensure that team is not bored of the options. Large swimming pool. Location is very close to NICE and Nelamangala road intersection. Hence commute time from city is relatively less. 24x7 WiFi is available. Areas of improvement: Due to hectic work, could not enjoy other facilities at resort. Options seems to be limited for engaging children if you are going with family.
We had gone as a team of 70 people to Golden palms. Even though there were other companies on their team outings, we did not feel congestion as the property was big enough. The rooms were well maintained with fresh towels and toiletries. The lunch buffet was ordinary but the breakfast had a large number of options. It has one of the largest swimming pools which is maintained well.
Food is really awesome here.. moderately large swimming pool to have fun..a good sports complex and cricket ground.. All and all, I would definitely recommend you to go there. It's one of the resorts that I really enjoyed visiting..
Was their last week with the family and friends, amazing place to be in. Superb ambience and highest level of hospitality, Swimming pool is a highlight and super delicious food..... Strongly recommended resort in and around Bangalore.
The rooms are spacious and neatly maintained. Pool view rooms are good. It has a very big and long swimming pool.
