It was a quiet area for us to get some much needed sleep. We only spent one nite here, leaving on our flight the next day out of Belize City.

room is clean, AC silent, Tv is funny little like a little computer screen, queen bed is actually two twin beds together, restroom is clean but old features.

First the staff here were fantastic. They recommended restaurants and we went to one that was excellent. The room we had was a small upgrade which was kind of them. This is a small private hotel. It's not the Marriott but the bed was comfortable. We elected no AC and outside at night was cool in December and the temperature was fine. Note water is all cold as is the norm. If you are used to this it is fine but be aware. Internet was poor. Reception was fine but speed was slow. Texts and messages worked well but photos slow. FB messenger ok. IMessages slow. Surfing not so good at all. But hey you are on vacation not running the billion dollar corporation that you are CEO of at home. Breakfast good. It was extra in our case. Reasonable price. Parking outside for rental car was fine. Felt safe family neighborhood. We walked to shops and restaurant. Download google maps to iphone and GPS will show you where you are without SIM card or wifi. Worked great.

We had a difficult time finding the hotel. It is on a side street in a residential neighborhood. Room was clean, and bed was comfortable. Great cheese cake!

Very helpful owners. nice place for 2 stars. clean. Hard to find but owner came to pick us up. A/C, great for this area.

I stayed here for one night, on a short trip to Belmopan. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. Some of the area around the hotel seems to have been under construction, but the neighborhood is quiet and safe. The hotel is located near two grocery stores and a short walk to a couple of restaurants, although it was a bit of a distance from where I needed to be for my meeting. That being said, nothing is truly far away in Belmopan, and when I come back to the capital in the future I will likely go there again as it is a good value and a nice place to stay.

We stayed in Belmpoan at the El Rey Hotel for our first two nights in Belize. The cost was sufficient. The staff and owners were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood, but it was very quiet and cozy. We would recommend this hotel to others and will stay there again on our next trip to Belize.
