We loved the cook to order breakfast with crisp bacon and homemade jams. The bed was comfy and the room was fine. We loved walking down to Lake Ontario and sitting on a bench to watch the gentle waves. We arrived around 8:30 and there was no one at the desk. We went right to our room, which was open. There was no key in the room so we were not able to lock the door when we left for breakfast and a walk. Perhaps leave the key for guests who arrive later? We loved the tall trees and short walk to the lake. I’m glad we stayed here!

Love the home-made jam choices with hot breakfast made to order. We liked the concord grape & pear jam we bought it to enjoy at home. Bedrooms and the arm chairs were super cozy. And impressed with star gazing on clear skies on the beach ... no need to drive, just 5 minute walk.

Cozy stay with our furbaby!!

My sister and I brought my dog to this resort and had a wonderful stay! The room was clean with a very cozy feeling. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The highlight of the property is the lovely pool that we had all to ourselves because it was a weekday trip. We also loved that we could take my furbaby to the pool side instead of leaving her in the room. We could also take my furbaby to the dining room to have breakfast. So far all the hotels we visited, in the past didn't allow dogs at the dining area. Timber House Resort is super pet friendly! We enjoyed the homemade breakfast. It was very tasty and the homemade blueberry muffins were amazing! There's also a small private beach about 200 meters from the resort which is very relaxing and peaceful to spend some quality time. Lucy and her daughter who manage the resort are very friendly and helpful. We will surely come back to stay in the future!

The room was very spacious and clean. It was convenient to take the stairs down the back deck to the pool/outside area. Nice to have a common area that has large and had great amenities. Nice to have the lake 200 m away and a food truck on site. The breakfast was great. The staff was so friendly and I love how it is made to order with nice optons. That is a great touch!

We really enjoyed our stay, my kids were happy with the pool and the beach nearby. Breakfast is not a buffet but personalized for each person, fresh and very good and they have a variety of handmade jams that you can try and purchase. Rooms are spacious (wè were in a room with pool access). The only inconvenient for me was the no light in the common areas and pool at night but it didn't affect our enjoyment and satisfaction wirh rhe resort

Excellent value. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices, the place was clean but a bit tired. Really didn’t mind that. A bit weird sharing a fridge with other families as I had to move stuff in the packed fridge to get to our stuff. That means others were handling my stuff. Would definitely stay again.
