Very Good

Yes room was very clean, although a bit dated. Staff, including restaurant staff, were very pleasant. We enjoyed our meal at the Barley Room Pub as well.
We stayed for Valentines Day. While other reviews called this dated, we found this to be super cozy, very private and a lovely, romantic stay! The Heritage suite was beautiful, old school and romatic. We appreciated the fireplace and the hot tub outside. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was included and absolutely incredible. The bed was amazing, we normally have a hard time sleeping on a different mattress but this was great and the four king pillows were very appreciated. The bathroom was nice and very clean. Decore was a bit off from the old style coziness of the room but was still very nice. I dropped a star because what we did not appreciate was the condition of the carpeting throughout and the use of LED style hard white lights in some of the fixtures. It totally threw the ambiance off. The carpet was VERY off-putting and even sticky in some places. Overall, I would definitely recommend the luxury suite. We had an amazingly romantic time!
Breakfast and bar were good, the rooms were dated.

Beautiful resort. Room was really comfortable. Thanks for the great upgrade. We will be back in the summer. Only issue I have is no water pressure but overall excellent stay…
Staff support is lacking and unwelcoming at front desk/reception. The lack of information on whats available especially celebrate the new year wasnt telayed prpperly. Afterwards. The ladies in the Barley room like Kim l, Cathy and also Michael were super friendly along with the other guests. We were made to believe we coukdnt velebrate NYE without previously having some reservation and the weather made it difficult to want to go to events off site. The oath ro side door wasnt cleared and the front door wouldnt open with key so had no choice but to trek through snow. Breakfast was ok and free for guests; it was various cooked items and not continental.
Nice spacious room. Very comfortable king size bed. We had an excellent dinner at Amelia’s Garden Room and a wonderful breakfast was included in the room fee.
Everyone was really welcoming!
The receptionist was friendly and check in and checkout went well. . The room was spacious and clean. I have to say though, that the food was disappointing considering it is a cooking school and was billed as fine dining.
The room was great. The staff there is always very friendly and responsive if anything is out of wack. Also, the food in the pub was great, the entertainment was super, and the beer was cold. The free breakfast was good as well. I look forward to my next visit.

We always love our stay at the waring house - it might not be for everyone - it is a little dated and a little pricey for being in the off season we’d come back again for sure - the pub food and breakfast in the morning is always great - will come back in the spring :)

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Clean rooms. Beautiful grounds. Easy check in and out. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Walking distance to bar with live entertainment.
It's a nice property, the rooms are also quite nice... but the mattress in our room (107) is beat up, the carpets need a deep cleaning and the food was uninspiring. So room for improvement for sure.
All was lovely, until I asked for a one hour late departure, then a very sour unprofessional receptionist gave me an argument about only having two housekeepers. I pointed out that as they had been busy on Saturday night the housekeeper would not have time to get to my room in any event. I was grudgingly given the extension of my king room but with a look from the pit of nastiness. All other staff and housekeeper lovely and I left the housekeeper whom I met, a tip, and she wasn’t ready to do my room when I left at noon.
