My recent trip to Travelodge Belfast Central was disappointing. I found that the bathroom walls were not clean, the fixtures had visible rust around them, the toilet unit was unclean. I was unable to get the TV to work with the remote control. The TV was had such a small screen size, I suspect that I would not have been able to see it clearly. There was significant noise coming in from outside the hotel. I don't think that I would return to this hotel again if in the same area.
Clean tidy perfect location seconds from city hall in heart of Belfast.. reception manned 24hr...nothing negative to say. Close to bars restaurants...buses, taxis Def be back.. staff, helpful in knowledge.
Hotel is roasting hot, so uncomfortable! Rooms are tiny and bathrooms are grubby. This is the 2nd time I have tried this hotel, only good thing is location. Staff are rude, not friendly or welcoming and actually got into a full scale argument with us when we tried to complain.
Having stayed at several Travelodge hotels in the past, I would say this one needs much improvement. At the price point you would expect a nicer room, however, it is very standard. There were dents in the wall, ceilings looked like they came from an 70s shop, and a shower that you'd have to be quite small to stand under. The continental breakfast was very limited. Very few cereal options, apples or oranges, yoghurts, bagels and some small croissants that looked like from a packet. The meat and cheeses, limited and unappealing.
This has got to be the worse hotel I’ve ever had the misfortune to stay in, the room was like a prison cell, the heat was unbearable with no window to open, the air conditioning unit kept you awake with its squeaking noises, the night went by like I was slowly being tortured, if Tony 10 had not been rumbled he surely would of handed himself in if he had to hide out in this hotel. Photo shows why you have no window.
Stayed for four nights. A very central position, just a couple of minutes from the city centre and the town hall. 5 minutes walk from the bus station. Surrounded by bars and restaurants, so a good choice of places to eat out. Staff friendly. Bed comfortable. But it is clear why 29% of reviews are only 1 or 2 stars. With such a high percentage of negative reviews, why has the hotel not been upgraded? The immediate impression was that the hotel is "tired" and needs a revamp. What isn't clear is that with 29% of reviews being negative, why has nothing been done to improve the hotel? My room had a musty air to it, plus an incumbent moth. The push/pull "button" on the tap for the shower/bath didn't work. But this was immediately repaired when reported. But the air lock in the plumbing was not. So any running of bath or shower water was accompanied by loud noises until the water settled. It didn't bother me much but I was concerned that the noise would disturb others. Towels changed daily but towels very thin. The continental breakfast was a mixture of chaos and limited fare. Both staff members friendly and engaging but at times overworked. On my first morning almost every table was full of dirty plates and cups because a large group must have left at the same time. I had to ask for a table to be cleared and cleaned. The selection of meats and cheese was limited and I worried about cross contamination due to one pair of tongues being available. For the price I paid I expected better. Rooms are not soundproofed and doors not dampened with self-closures, so lots of noise of doors slamming. To sum up: All staff friendly and helpful. Hotel needs a revamp. Sadly, not value for money and I write that as someone who has used Travelodge many times.
Needed a Hotel near the bus central and i chosed travelodge since the price was good compared to the others that day. I got no towels in the room but that was easily fixed at the reception. It took a long long time for the water to become accaptable warm and that was a little annoying since I took an early bus in the morning. The room is not that "sound proof" and you can easily hear your neighboors. I can recommend the hotell to clean the remotes for the Tv since the remote i had was the most dirty I have ever seen. Staff was very friendly
Hotel central and beds comfortable, the staff were helpful but you felt they were fighting a loosing battle as the hotel is so so tired. The toilets were stained and the decor shabby. Unfortunately the hot water failed on our visit. This was fixed in a couple of hours but we did have brown water for a day or so. We also had water dripping from the bathroom ceiling so had to change rooms! Maybe we were just unlucky.
stay for one night hotel is in good location the room was a bit tired and needs updating sleep quality was very good my room was at the end of the longest and darkest corridor street noise was okay for the centre of city
Avoid at all cost! Unpleasant area and cleanliness was filthy! Got bitten a few times by bed bugs after lying down on the bed for just 10 minutes. After feeling really itchy - I could not take a shower as the bath had dirty stains on it. The toilet seat was broken.
