Great location. Staff is friendly and helpful. I would stay there again!

Unique decor, great location, friendly staff, good breakfast

Perfect location close to everything. Nice and spacious room beautifully decorated. Spotless and immaculate. Wonderful selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. Helpful staff. Will choose again when in Belfast.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great. Rooms and hotel were well-designed and comfortable.

Nice hotel convenient to all Belfast attractions and bus stop.

First, a bit about me. I'm single, older male, and have traveled extensively. I visited Belfast for the first time on this trip. I wanted a place centrally located, and Malmaison fit the bill perfectly. All of Belfast's top attraction within a pleasant walking distance. Rooms are cozy and quaint. Occasionally noise from other guests was a bother, but such is modern living. The breakfasts were fantastic.

Beautiful hotel. Good location. Comfortable room- attentive, helpful staff. Our room was a bit warm, otherwise a great stay.

Spent a week there recently on business during my first trip to Ireland. Hotel was convenient to downtown attractions and shopping, which was a plus. Unfortunately, was awakened at 5 AM with water pouring onto the bed from a light above it. When the night manager was called and surveyed the situation, he asked, "do you want another room?" After 30 minutes, they moved me to another room with the explanation, "the people in the room above you were drunk." It was said so matter of factly, I don't know if this is a regular occurrence. Don't plan to find out, however, as I will pick another hotel next time I'm in town. Suggest you do the same.

Hotel is romantic with Boudoir atmosphere. That part was great. The room was relatively spacious and very romantic. However, the heat was overactive and the front desk had no idea what to do about it. If there was a way to work the thermostat it was a mystery, even with the radiator manually shut off and the window open the room was still a sweat box.We had a 1 pm checkout however while mid shave at 1240 the power was shut off to our room...we took this as a none to subtle hint to get out, but it honestly wasn't helpful or appreciated. Finally upon checkout there was an attempt to charge us for pre-paid breakfast. The details kind of soured an otherwise charming hotel.

Unbusy during my stay. Polite reception staff. Bar/restaurant staff slow.

very nice hotel; great restaurant; nice rooms; accommodating staff

Nice hotel. If you want air conditioning this is not the place for you. It was very uncomfortable for me.

The Malmaison Hotel in Belfast was a wonderful place to stay. It is a traditional Victorian era hotel. High ceilings, lots of dark wood, and overstuffed chairs in the lobby, restaurant and bar. Just what we wanted. On Victoria Street which is a main street in Belfast, easily accessible and centrally located to virtually every point of interest in Belfast. When we traveled north to the Giant's Causeway, west to Omagh or east to the City Airport, easy to get to the main highways. The food for dinner at the Malmaison Hotel Restaurant was exceptional as was the friendly, helpful but never pushy service. It made for a very relaxing dinner. The Malmaison also has a comfortable, traditional and well-stocked Victorian bar. The bartenders were everything friendly and conversational you would expect from an Irish bartender. The reception and all the staff were helpful in every regard. The room, as well as the bed, were spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. Loved the Irish humor with the oversized tube of bathroom shampoo titled the 'The Best Shampoo You Will Ever Steal' and the shower gel titled 'Better Shower Gel Than You Have At Home." They are both home with me. The parking is a 30-second walk. Using my Malmaison card at the Car Park, the cost was only $10 Euro's per 24 hours...regular rate was over $20 Euros. Just for fun, we had a late Irish breakfast one mornings at The National, a local restaurant right across the street from the Car Park and 30 seconds from the hotel.

This boutique hotel gave me a paradigm shift in my thinking about hotel experiences. The typical front desk was non-existent. Rather the lobby was transformed into a warm homey feel with a nice table and clerk who seemed more like a welcoming friend inviting you into her home. The room had a plush bed and nice amenities like a heated towel bar in the bathroom, full size toiletries, coffee and tea, with an organic snack bar for purchase. The room was quiet and had a 1940s decorum. It felt more like visiting the home of a wealthy friend!

Ideal for our short stop in Belfast. Staff was very accommodating and arranged a cab tour for us and we were on our way within minutes. Great shower and amenities. Would have loved to stay longer.

Thank you Ed for your review, albeit disappointing. As I explained when I spoke to you this was indeed an isolated incident and it certainly wasn't handled appropriately for which I can only apologise.

Thank you Patrick for your review. I can only apologise for the issue you experienced with the heat and the power. Unfortunately maintenance did find a problem with the power in your room that was fixed after your departure, it was certainly not in anyway a hint to vacate your room, and I am sorry if this is what it felt like.
