Our family stayed here for a week during a visit to Beijing. The hotel is big and modern, not far from the airport. It is on a super busy road and next to the airport expressway. There is a subway stop (Wangjing South) that is an easy 12 minute walk from the hotel - we used it a lot as it was super easy to navigate - signs in English, and we used the Metroman app to easily figure out which trains we needed to take. We had 2 adjoining rooms on the 16th floor, each with 2 beds (the size of a US double bed). When we arrived (March), the rooms were very hot with no air, even though the elevator lobby was cool. It was very uncomfortable, even though the hotel provided us with fans for the rooms. Partway through the week they turned the air on, and it got better, but the air seemed to turn off during the nights. Aside from that, the rooms were very nice! The executive lounge was great - sodas & coffee available during the day, and a nice buffet dinner with chinese food & drinks in the evenings. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant (Momo) was extensive with western & chinese food. The pool and fitness center were very nice - they provided towels and bottles of water. Note to bring swim caps as they are required for the pool. Staff at the front desk were very friendly, English was limited but we were able to communicate no problem. Overall a good stay and great value as a Diamond member with free breakfast & executive lounge. Downsides were hot rooms, lack of places to walk out to eat, and as the city is so big, it takes a long taxi ride to get places.
This is one of the nice hotel with the American brand. As typical, the staff were very nice and courteous. The room is comfortable, the shower water pressure is very strong.. There were a variety of beverages in the mini-bar, with pretty expensive price tag. A 1-lit of Evian water was 55 Chinese Yuan, a 330ml was 40 Chinese Yuan, and can Pepsi was 25 Chinese Yuan. Which converted to roughly US $8.7, US $6.35 and US $3.97 respectively. They were pretty pricey even by American standard. However, the breakfast buffet was amazing, it was a great Asian fusion with both traditional Chinese and breakfast items. They had Congee, Chinese sausage, rice and stuff, and at the same time they had pastries, waffle, bacon, eggs and fruits. They also had hot Soybean milk, juices and very good coffee. Service was also very good. I don't mind to stay here again should I visit Beijing again.
Stopping over in Beijing for a noon flight, so stayed there for one night. Smooth check-in, friendly and professional staff. Room was very, very nice (I got upgraded to the Junior Suite probably because of my status)! Everything in the room was perfect. Since I arrived late at night, I did not get to use the Executive Lounge, so no comment. Complimentary breakfast was served in the restaurant on the 2nd level, and it was delicious! Many choice of Chinese and Western food definitely made my day. My stay was relatively short, so did not use the other amenities. Location is sort of OK, I think, being between 4th and 5th Ring Road (closer to 4th Ring). Not too far from the airport; took me about 30 minutes from the hotel to the airport (taxicab cost around 70RMB). Did not have time to explore the surrounding area, so will not comment. Though my stay was very short, I enjoyed every aspect of the hotel. Price quite reasonable. I WILL definitely stay here again when I visit Beijing the next time!
We arranged an early check in, paying for one night extra as our flight arrived at 5am! A colleague checked us in the night before but on arrival are rooms were not available, they had been given away! This defeated the object as we needed to sleep prior to a meeting. We ended up in temporary rooms and were upgraded to suites as a gesture of good will! The hotel generally was very good with helpful staff, clean rooms and good location.
This is an older Marriott but still brand worthy with a good executive floor and lounge experience. The staff is great, friendly and attentive to your needs. Rooms are a little worn but clean and comfy. Subway is close by short bus or taxi ride and airport is about a 70 RMB taxi ride away. Fitness club is excellent with a nice indoor pool.
Great value for money! This hotel offers excellent service at convenient price, the staff is very kind and what impress me was the breakfast, even if the time of finishing was i.e. 10am the staff still keep servicing even for late guests as well the food was available, that’s remarkable, even in far more expensive hotel the service is not so comfortable. Well done! The location is convenient to reach the center by car or taxi. Overall the value for money is definitely very high!
Nice ambience. Good spacious rooms. Overall very good value for money. But the front desk executives could get some training in their English. Communication was difficult unless and until the manger is there who spoke well. You don't expect that with Marriott even if it's china.
I chose this Hotel for Business reasons. Good and comfortable Hotel with very friendly & Service focused Staff. Good breakfast with lots of varieties to select from. Inhouse Restaurant is ok, rather standard. Not so nice is the missing Hotelbar. Only the Executuve Lounge is available on invitation or if you getroffen the Access e.g. due to your Bonus Programm. Still, the Lounge itself was equipped with the Standard alcoholic drinks, wich were removed already at about 09 pm. Food was missing on the evening I visited it. However, there are a coupple of good Restaurants in 5-10 minutes walking distance. Spa area and fitness is quit good.
Missed a connection at 2am at Beijing airport, so I walked in at the reception at night. Welcomed by the night shift leader, friendly and efficient service, got a room immediately, standard room, very good cleanliness, comfortable bed. Breakfast service also efficient, no communication issues, quality and variety of food is good value for money. Fast and efficient checkout, approached in queue by concierge asking if I needed a taxi, ordered immediately, and arranged communication with driver. Overall good experience for a few hours in Beijing.
Courtyard Beijing Northeast locates between downtown and the airport. About 1 hour drive in average, maybe 30 minutes in early morning. The decoration is a bit old and somewhat worn out, and even the executive room is a bit small. I have no idea whether there is any suite room here but I was never upgrade to any suite room even after became platinum member of Marriott. The executive lounge is good, with some dishes and salad with various drinks and wine for happy hour. Sometimes there are too many guests here but overall it is nice. As a Courtyard by Marriot hotel, the price is competitive compare to other nearby hotels. But other players are newer or higher brand. So, it depends on the traveler’s budget and interest. The staff here are friendly and welly trained, CI and other services are quite efficient. Even some accident happens, they know the right way to handle it and satisfy the guests’ expectation. I don’t think I could ask for more. So it is a good candidate for travelers for business trip and hope to live close to the airport, or close to Wangjing area.
