Quality Inn New River

We've stayed here every time we raft the Gauley river in the fall. Great location and good price.

Continental breakfast had several choices and was ready promptly. Staff was very friendly.

The staff were great, however most of the items in the room were beat up or did not work properly. If they have the money, they should repair items in the room. The maids did a very good job. I would assign someone to inspect the rooms more often.

Very comfortable room, breakfast had a good variety to choose from and the staff was friendly.

all it s good . cool place good nature Nice and clean Frindly staff

Stayed here one evening visiting a friend who was rafting. Rooms were basic but clean. Restaurant on premises had good food, but SLOW service. Not somewhere I'd recommend for a week-long stay, but great for transient layover night or weekend. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient, outdoor grounds were clean, plenty of parking.

The room was spacious but had a bit of a musty smell to it. The exterior door had a crack around the seal allowing air and gnats in the room that got a little annoying while we were watching tv at night. My wife and I didn't really get a good nights sleep from the noise of the air conditioner kicking on and off every couple of minutes. I'm not trying to say all the rooms are like this because this was our first stay there but don't request room 101. On the positive side the breakfast was pretty good and the shower had pretty good water pressure.

This is an OK place that I stay at because its on the way of a longer trip. I stay to go to Pies and Pints, which has great pizza and beer selection (no vegan cheese though). The restaurant at the hotel is usually filled with redneck stereotypes so I usually don't stay in there long. No where else really in walking distance. You can't walk across the bridge to go to the gorge, you'd have to drive. There are activities available at the gorge but I didn't really check them out.

We stayed during the July 4 holiday and payed roughly double/night from our previous stay (which occurred earlier in the year). All said, this is a basic, convenient, comfortable place from which to base your gorge adventures. If you can stay outside of holiday weekends, you should be able to get a good deal.

Stayed at this hotel while visiting some friends rafting on the New River. While your basic room style, and a bit dated, it was very clean. AC was cold, shower was hot. We ate dinner at the restaurant/bar (Elliots). Food was above average, and drinks were cold, however the service was very slow. Overall though, we will stay here again in the future.

This hotel is close to highway and provides easy access to new river gorge and activities. Bedding and carpet were fresh and comfortable but fixtures and overall facilities were a little on the tired side.

first time, recommended by a friend.will go back whenever on way home

One of the best stays.Staff very friendly and helpful. Convienent restraurant on grounds. Morning breakfast could not have been better. Will stay there again on next trip!!!!!!!!!!!

Hotel was good. Close to shopping and food and white-water adventures.

I enjoyed my stay at this motel. Very clean but a little high priced I felt. They take advantage of the white-water rafters and lack of many motels to choose from around that location so they can charge more.

The hotel was reasonably priced, clean and very convenient to all the outdoor activities in the New River Gorge area.

Just passing thru, but clean rooms and friendly staff. Worked just fine for our family.

I liked it fine, but not necessarily for everyone. This is one of the old-fashioned type motels with doors facing outside walkways and heat lamps in the bathrooms. If you're on the first floor you can park right outside of your door. Some aspects of the hotel have been updated, some have not. Some updates were done well (modern style bedding and flat screen TV), some not so much (vinyl, faux wood moldings around the doors). Some things still need updating--parking lot and side walks had seen better days, hinges on bathroom door were a bit rusty. The sheets on my bed were a bit thin and pilled in spots and probably should have been retired. That said, there were two beds in my room and the odds are good that the sheets on the other bed could have been newer but I wasn't concerned enough about it to check. This does not have the cookie cutter, highly designed, sterile freshness that you find in many newer hotels/motels. Breakfast is served in a quirky souvenir shop. In our rooms there were little laminated signs tacked to the wall warning against taking towels--not something you'd find in a place with more corporate oversight. Great place to stay with teens. They have pool, tennis courts, and possibly basketball court, AND equipment for you to check out and use. The rooms were clean. Again, not the sterile feeling of some of the newer places, but no stains or odors, no sticky feeling to the carpet, and everything in order.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times and will continue to do so. The rooms are always clean and they accommodate pets for a nominal fee. Their breakfast is great (eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, etc.) and is included with the stay.

excellent location close to New River Gorge-poor deluxe continental breakfast-Quality inn on tv advertises hot breakfast, nonexistent at this location, bagels were stale & 1/2 of the menu items missing all 3 days we were there. Room was clean and no odors especially since this was a pet friendly room. Restaurant on the premises was good. overall a very good experience except for the breakfast
