A quick overnight stay, and this ticked the bill. Good value for money, friendly, parking fine and a goos breakfast. Also easy to get to places to eat in the evening. The room was simple and comfortable.
It was a nice hotel (slightly aged) for one night, the parkinglot was to small (for big cars), the hotelroom and shower were also very small. The airco was very nice in the room. The breakfast was very poor no cheese and no plates to make your breakfast.
Someone complained before that it needed a revamp, well it must have had it since that review because the room we had was excellent. It was big with a big ensuite which was a wet room. In fact that room would be perfect for someone in a wheelchair. The location is great just a mile from the motorway and close to the city centre, and it is just off the main road so it is very quiet. I will definitely stay there again the next time i am on my way down south.
This year was the hotttest I have ever experienced Beaune with temperatures over 35c and so was very appreciative of the great air conditioning in our ground floor room. We use this as a stop over hotel on route to the South of France and it suits our purpose. It has secure parking and the thhe rooms are basic, small and clean with a ensuite bathroom and toilet combined. Never had breakfast as we leave by 04:00. There is an outside seating area for guests and a vending machine for drinks and snacks in the reception. Great location for the auto route and has a number of restaurants within a 2 minute walk and the centre of Beaune and Carrefour a short distance away. This is a no frills hotel but for a cheap stopover it isn’t ideal.
You get what you pay for...? The twin room was too small to find a place to open two cabin bag-sized suitcases at the same time, and besides the one chair there was no place to sit except on the beds. Bathroom small and prone to get flooded when showering. Adequate Wi-fi, but poor breakfast.
Unremarkable building with good parking. Supermarket nearby. In walking distance of the centre of Beaune if you enjoy walking (count with about 15 minutes walking one way.) Receptionist was accommodating, but bad humoured and willing to let us suffer for that. He did not even take the time to point us in the direction of the room. Cramped rooms - especially shower/bathroom - but that is to be expected in a budget hotel. Fast WiFi. One of the last hotels in the country without an electronic lock, but featuring loose door handles, smelly mattress and hard to handle airco. This hotel is near the end of its life cycle, but due to its location, it could be saved by renovation. Not recommended until that time.
This was the cheapest accommodation available for a group of five people but I would not reccommend the triple room. There is just not enough space for three people and their luggage. The bathrooms are more like a porta-loo. It was clean for sure but not enough comfort for a good night's rest. Wifi is good.
This was our second year at this budget stop over hotel and yet again it did not disappoint. Staff were great and spoke very good English. Rooms were simple clean and tidy and as much as one can expect in a budget hotel. The bonus to this particular hotel is the outdoor seating which is a real bonus which we took full advantage of. We arrived at the late afternoon and it was very warm. A quick trip to our room to make a drink and then outside in the sun on the seating provided. Almost directly opposite the garden there is a frozen food shop and a baker, ideal for a quick snack. The 4 star review is based on expectations for a budget type hotel and any additional benefits. I will be returning in the future.
Easy to find, with a good location close to the motorway. The room was clean and comfortable. Secure parking - though this made it slightly tricky to get in! The car park was pretty cramped, so it was not easy to park.
As in previous years the overnight stay in Beaune is planned as a short break on the journey to the South of France and therefore a budget hotel is sufficient. Having always stayed at the Etap / Ibis we decided to try the Premier Classe as there was outside seating which is very welcome in the hot weather. In a direct comparison I would say that overall the Etap / Ibis is abetter budget hotel. The rooms in the PC appeared tired, smaller and cramped and the en-suite is not as well laid out and unlike the other hotel there is no sink in the actual room. Add to the mix that PC are still using coarse under blankets instead of summer quilts Shows that they need to update and modernise. In summary it is a budget hotel that was clean with easy access to the autoroute and local restaurants and the staff were very pleasant.
