Nice new location with comfortable accommodations. Staff was helpful, room was well tended to and clean. Surroundings well kept. Pool??

I was immediately impressed as I checked in. The property owner was behind the desk supervising his manager as she trained a new person. Looking around the lobby and the dining area, I was immediately impressed by the decorations for the holiday season and the cleanliness of the dining area. The room was very comfortable and clean. I liked the notebook in my room with information about the motel and the surrounding area. The breakfast was good, with a variety of choices from hot to cold. The coffee was fresh. I was there 3 nights and was comfortable the whole time.

We didn't have any problems. We always try and stay at Best Westerns wherever we go. This hotel and staff were very nice.

Clean, nice staff, quiet, free full breakfast. Love this place!

Came in from daily outing about 10:30 pm and opened the door to find the bed unmade. But we knew someone had been in the room because all the dirty towels had been removed. Went to service desk and the person there said it was our fault because room service started at 9:00 a.m. and we didn't leave until 9:30! Excuse me?

The clerk was very welcoming . It was clean very quit.

Comfortable hotel for the price. Bring your own water bottles though.

If breakfast is important to you this is not the place to stay. By 7:30 in the morning they were out of eggs. When we asked for more we were told only one bag of eggs could be used per day. To be out of eggs at 7:30 and breakfast runs till 9:00 is ridiculous. Everything else was pretty ordinary.

Ashley at check in was really nice and friendly. However, nothing else was spectacular about this hotel. We got a good deal and it was low enough to offset dealing with the quirks of this stay. From low-flow bath fixtures and a door that wouldn't shut without putting your shoulder into it to a usual breakfast downstairs. Get there early though, because they only fix one "bag" of eggs per morning. Nothing horrible or over-the-top bad.

Our stay was about average. We stayed one night while visiting nearby Austin. It was conveniently close to the freeway and Chili's restaurant. Unfortunately, in the morning, they were showering in the room next door so apparently they had all of the hot water. My shower was very cold and there was very little water pressure. The water pressure didn't improve with the next shower although the water moved up to lukewarm. The breakfast was alright.

The Bastrop Best Western is a good place to stay if you are spending the weekend high power rifle shooting at Camp Swift

The hotel was clean and easy to find but service was quite bad. We arrived late at night to find that our a king bed room was not available despite our reservation . The night staff is not allowed to make any decision and the manager might or might not show up the next day either. They tried to blame the booking sitedespite me showing the online confirmation. Just overall service is lacking. Hope you will have more luck

Need to hire more help in office during peak hours of check in and check out time. Our key had to be reprogrammed for us. It is not fun to be tired and ready to go to your room and rest and have to return to have your key programmed. Otherwise very good stay.

We stayed in 2 rooms and one room had a faulty remote. The breakfast was ok, the staff did not keep up with stocking it up. The staff could have been a little more friendly but they were fine. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again. Oh and the office was not working we could not print a ticket for the faire.

room was good clean, and served my needs night desk clerk was hooked on the internet, though when engaged in conversation was very pleasant breakfast - eggs were not good, the whole breakfast choice needed revamped

We were handled quickly at check in and check out, although a large group arrived at same time. The location was perfect for activities in and around Bastrop. Location next to Chili's was wonderful. Roomy and comfortable.

It was good, played golf , not a whole lot to do in bastrop.

We checked in around 5:30 PM on a Friday. The staff was pleasant and hospitable. The "Check-In" went smoothly with no problems. The room was clean, plenty of pillows, nice amenties, and felt inviting. The bathroom had no issues that were noticable and there was plenty of towels for two guests. For the "environmentally conscience" guest the hotel had water efficient toilets and the option of a "multiple use" towel policy. Breakfast was the standard "Continental" self serve breakfast bar. There was plenty of food and the dining area was clean. For the purposes of sleeping and getting cleaned up the the room worked fine. The parking lot was well light, so the fear of my vehicle being tampered with was greatly minimized. Check-out was easy with no issues. I would recommend this hotel for any business or budget minded traveler.

Walking distance from a few moderate restaurants. Quiet. Clean. However, the pillows were not good for me.
