Thank you Alexandra, Christophe and team for your hospitality and professionalism.. It was a great stay at your place during the Chistmas days. The ocean view while the December storm was happening (> 60 knots) was spectacular. Alexandra is the best :-)
We recently had visit to Biarritz and booked 3 rooms, the place is great and especially thanks to Alexandra at front desk. She was so helpful and cooperative as always. This was our 2nd stay in a year time. We recommend everyone this hotel to stay while you are in this beautiful city.
The hotel and the room with sea view is just awesome ! But above all the personnel : Alexandra and her night male colleague were very helpful and nice to guide us for our trip in Biarritz ! Special big thanks to them and hope Accor give them a bonus for their excellency at work !
We booked a junior suite at Le President as a birthday treat for my wife. What a major let down ! The suite was small compared to others we have stayed in and the retro style bedroom and living area was not to our taste at all. Indeed for a hotel chain of this standing we could not understand how the quality of the furnishings seemed such poor quality. In contrast the bathroom was up-to date and the facilities excellent, however one of my wife's gripes was that , there were no complimentary toiletries, bathrobes or similar that one usually finds in a suite, especially at the price we paid. Indeed the toiletries provided were bog standard if you pardon the pun and we were really disappointed for the price paid. Also with a view over the car park this was not what I had in mind for her birthday. On the plus side the staff were very nice and our room kept spotlessly clean. Parking at 17euros a day in the adjacent car park was, I felt ok for the location. In summary whilst I appreciate taste is completely subjective unfortunately we were really disappointed with the suite, as it was relatively small, no view , and the interior retro design was to us nothing but tacky. I regret to say that at the price we paid overall this was the worse value I have encountered for a long time. As I stated previously the only redeeming features were the very friendly staff and the cleanliness which was faultless.
We were very disappointed at the small room & stupidly small twin beds which gave us a poor night's rest. Breakfast was very average. On departure we requested a refund for the price of breakfast (which we had pre-booked) as at Le Mans they advised us that we were entitled to free breakfast at our age in Mercure hotels. At Le Mans the refund was immediate but at Biarritz we were told it would need 'approval'.
Good location but the hotel advertises wi fi access through the hotel which is not accessible. Takes numerous attempts to access wi fi. Had to sit in reception to access as no wi fi in the bedroom. We were told our room was new (401) which I found difficult to believe as it was part of the original hotel.
Clean hotel, good services and good location underground car park underneath if your driving and in the city Center 3min walk to the main beach front and casino. Close to boutiques and opposite department store for shopping. Some rooms have partial sea views, but no balconies. Clean rooms, no bar, functional quite modern and clean. Good if booked at right price, with excellent location and friendly staff
Repeat visit to centrally located hotel. Chosen for location. Always take ocean view room. Service can be patchy in Biarritz, but this hotel's service tends to be consistently efficient at reception and in breakfast room, even if not particularly warm.
Nice hotel in good place just over street is Lafayette store, grande beach, cafes and shops. Breakfast was quite good (traditional french breakfast, but there was even plant milk) and very helpful Mr David.
Good modern hotel in excellent location for visiting tourist attractions in Biarritz. Close to shops, beaches, old port and many bars and restaurants. Hotel itself does not have a restaurant or bar, but this is not much of a problem as there are plenty of options in the immediate area. Breakfast offers a reasonable selection of cold and hot food choices. Superior rooms offer view of the sea and lighthouse, although not sure if this is really worth the premium. A/c unit very powerful, so no problem with the hot weather. Public car park next door where it was quite easy to find spaces, even for a large car. Parking is charged by the hour but capped at €19 per day. Reception staff very helpful and friendly. Would happily return here if we were visiting Biarritz again.
