My partner and I stayed here 2 nights over a weekend. It's about a 10 minute walk to the main square onto rambles street. Once you've found it once, it's easy to find! Turn left out of the hotel and keep walking straight and there's a lovely little cafe/ bakery called santagloria were we got lovely pastries and fresh orange for breakfast and opposite that was a 24 hour super market for your water. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean, inviting and spacious. It has a safe and good air con with comfy beds. We didn't eat or drink here so can't comment on that. The jacuzzi on the roof was fab! The coffee machine was really good for a hotel! We enjoyed our stay. The only bad comment was no bath mat, almost slipped out of the shower a couple of times!

Firstly I have to say that all the staff were fantastic, very police and helpful and their English was exceptional. I like this area as it isn't very touristy so the bars and the restaurants are good. Also it's one of the nicer areas in the city so I was pleased with the location. In my experience of hotels the hotel room was basic at best, but the coffee machine was a nice touch. It just isn't good value for money, if you can stay here for €100-120 a night you've done well!!! I over paid as there was very little available this weekend, also I booked as I was going to a concert in the city which was cancelled, I tried to cancel the room as obviously I had no need for it and they were not very understanding and refused to refund. So, customer services could have been better, and this has left a bad taste.

Stayed at the Sunotel Club Central for 3 nights and had no issues that stand out! On arrival at the hotel, the staff were friendly and polite making check in easy and efficient. The room was of a good standard and the beds were comfy which is a bonus! The room was tidy and modern and we never had any issues. The shower in the bathroom was exceptional, although it wasn't that easy to turn on and off - for short people trying to reach the tap. The location of the hotel is ok, in the heat though the walk felt longer into the main central areas. If you have a late flight, with check out at 12, the only downside we found was that there wasn't a shower room to be able to freshen up, just toilets up at the pool. Even though some reviews pre-trip make you a little apprehensive about your hotel choice, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover - happy to recommend this hotel!

Arrived late at night but lovely greeting. Hotel clean, room spacious we had the basic one, amazing shower and a bath. Room smelt a bit weird at first not sure if it went or we got used to it. Beds really comfy. After reading a few reviews was nervous but you get what they say and we were pleased with the hotel for the cost. Great location lots around it and close to centre. Pool on roof lovely spot and always got a sun bed. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. We were unfortunately there during Terriorist attack but the hotel were really helpful and reassuring.Front desk staff helped loads with days out. Lovely break.

Wr had a night at the SH and we cant say bad thnigs about it. The hotel is central and nice the price of the offer was just over the 100 and was good. Considering the high standard of bcn hotels it is under the average for design but the price is good also considering it. If you find an offer and you dont want a design hotel is a nice option

The hotel is quite central to the center but I do have to say it is not a 4 star and definitely not worth the price we paid. The hotel is looking tired and dated in certain areas and the breakfast is very expensive at €15 each for a continental buffet. The hotel lacked atmosphere and although it had a pool it was impossible to get any loungers. I think I would save my money and go for somewhere cheaper next time

Air conditioning broke and after 3 time of being told someone would fix it, they never came. No refund or compensation. 30 degrees in the room (7th floor, heat rises!!) unbearable. Terribly reception staff too.

We stayed for 7 night here in july and it was great. The staff were super friendly and nice. All of the staff spoke english. It has air conditioning and a pool on the rooftop. If you want to stay in central Barcelona i recommend it.

We booked this as a "Top Secret Hotel" on It was supposed to be a 4* Hotel. We thought we pay a bit extra to treat ourselves and were really looking forward to our holiday in Barcelona. The Hotel Staff was quite friendly however the room was a tiny dingy cupboard. There was no ceiling lighting in the room. As there was only one free power point we'd had to unplug one of the bedside lamps if we needed to charge more than one thing, which plunged the room into near darkness. The wardrobe was also so small that only one of us could unpack the luggage for our week long trip. When we arrived the safe wasn't working because the batteries were run down, we asked to have them replaced but they used such cheap batteries that it continued with low battery warning. Very Very disappointed . This is definitely NOT a 4* Hotel!

been there for 4 nights on Dec. 2016 . very nice hotel . nice room. very clean . very nice neighborhood with restaurants and coffee shops. all the Receptionists were very nice and try to help with every Q. good value for money.
