We loved everything about this hotel. Was a great location. Just 15 mins walk to Nou Camp and 30 minutes walk to La Rambla. Clean and comfortable and lovely, friendly and very helpful staff. Couldn't fault it at all.
Clean, vibrant, comfortable. First rate staff. Loved every minute I will be back. Close enough to walk to major attractions or public transport very easy also. Food and drink in the level was a fantastic and the staff could not do enough for you.
I had an absolutely lovely stay at Melia Barcelona's Sarria, New Year's Eve through the 4th of January, 2015. Ahead of time, one of the staff provided extensive explanations and suggestions for New Year's Eve dining, given I was arriving late on the holiday. I dined at an excellent location with subtle but lively jazz and excellent (too much to eat!) food. The staff were so hospitable in many ways; tracking down jazz clubs, putting me on a high floor, per my request (absolutely stunning view of the surrounding neighborhood from the 19th floor), and handling my bags. Given I was alone, I was pleased that I had a very spacious room, and not a tiny space that sometimes is the norm for individuals in Europe traveling alone. Excellent nearby bus service and a small walk to the subway (10 minutes); local faire nearby, including coffee, was great. With all the accolades, I do think the hotel is probably a more realistic 4 1/2 star instead of the 5 that was stated, but given the experience, that is small potatoes comparatively. I would stay here again in a minute.
Stayed 5 nights in one of the newly renovated grand suites. Panoramic view. Spacious living room area. King size bed and a walk in closet next to the quiet bedroom. Whirlpool bath and walk in shower. Lounge, gym and spa access. Great professionals on "The Level" and staff being a major hotel asset from our point of view. Ferran, Miguel, Milos and all of the personnel without exceptions being just terrific and should be mentioned in person. Great individuals, never cutting corners. No remarks whatsoever. Easter, big games and a lot of arrivals create some problem during checking in, and one in some perspective funny and in the same time potential embarrassing situation. Being just one of those things. The hotel handled it nicely and we was well cared for. Located in a financial district with good potential shopping and dining in the surroundings. Walking distance to the beginning of the main exclusive shopping areas, but probably you will find a taxi or public transportation preferable. Value for money and if you have the opportunity I would recommend considering a regular or junior suite. Or a room on the higher floor with access to The Level. I think you will appreciate the nice Meliá concept. Offering extended breakfast buffet in a privileged environment, serving hot and cold beverages, cakes and snacks during the day. Start your evening in the lounge with some tapas and cava.
great. The team is exceptionnal. i will come back again ( already 4 Journey ) if i need to stay in Barcelona, it is sure. i do like this hotel.!!! it is just a perfect place in a perfect town thanks again
My boyfriend and I stayed here for the first time while visiting Barcelona for the Easter holidays. We booked the "city view" room which was a bit more expensive but worth it because it was farther away from the street and nearly no noise at all. The bed was incredibly comfortable, great air conditioning and modern room. We booked the daily breakfast buffet and was very pleased. Lots of food to choose from. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. There's not a lot to see in the hotel's immediate area but there's tons of bus and tram stops within a 5min walk max to get to the city centre. Clean and modern area. Overall a great stay and would definitely come back next time we're in the area!
Very good service and good value for money. The staff went out of their way to provide the best service possible. Clean hotel with modern facilities and good location. Will not hesitate to go back or recommend my friends visiting Barcelona.
Start of insight tour. Our room was dated and in need of a spruce up. The air conditioning was not working and required two visits by a technician before it began working. Gym nice but quite dark to get into at 6am. Breakfast excellent. Front desk helpful.
Melia Sarria, A wonderful stay for Easter once again, we stayed at this hotel for the same period last year. We where absolutely delighted with last years experience, so we had to try once again. I am so glad we did. We booked early and got a very favorable price. Tip top. Not much has changed since last hear, which for us is all good. The Jr suite has had a mid life update and appears bright and welcoming. As we stated last year, the traffic from the main street can be a bit noisy, no worries. The reception and inprosessing is first class as always, if you are Melia Rewards member you know for sure you will be provided for. The Hotel staff is friendly and welcoming all over. However, we would like to mentioned the LEVEL staff in particular, they go lengths to ensure booking of tickets, finding nice boutiques, reservations for restaurant, all in all just splendid work. The LEVEL lounge here at Sarria must be one of the best, they have a very good selection of food, beverages throughout the day/ evening. And a major improvement from last year they now have a chef proving morning delights, utter top notch. The location will be by many regarded as a bit off grid, all tourist traps down town are easily within reach, we always try to avoid them, there are plenty to do and visit in this neck of the woods, the Sarria area is probably the Best part of Barcelona, and guess what you are safe from pickpocketing and the lot. We plan on booking for next Easter. Sendt fra min iPad
This modern highrise, located in a wealthy neighborhood, is a bit far from main attractions but has a lot to offer. The breakfast buffet is first-rate with a large selection of hot and cold items. The bread selection alone has around 12 delicious breads. I enjoyed enjoyed the coffee from the espresso machine and the peach juice. My spouse liked the quince near the cheeses. What a nice staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We slept well though our room was on the street side. It overlooked a pretty park. The traffic. Noise didn't bother us because we were so tired and the beds so comfortable. Next time we stay, we will ask for a room on the other side. The bathroom is spacious with a huge shower. My only complaint is the lack of surface space for toiletries around the sink. The computer controlled elevators are fast and efficient.
