Stayed two nights prior to a cruise. Hotel is in a quiet area, about 15 mins walk from Sagrada Familiar. Had a room overlooking the street but heard no noise and slept well. Hotel is quite basic but very clean. Breakfast is buffet style- selection of cereals, fruits, pastries as well as some hot selections and the dining room staff kept everything filled well. Karina and Omar on reception were both excellent and provided lots of information about where to go and what to do, as well as helping with taxis as needed. Would have no hesitation staying again if staying pre cruise but found the hotel a little far out from La Ramblas, where we spent both evenings.
Location is close to two metro stations - Glòries and Monumental, across from the theater, 15 - 20 minutes walk to Sagrada Família, and 30 minutes walk to the city center. Quiet and convenient. Easy to navigate. Amenities I liked: tea kettle in the room with tea and coffee provided; apples in the lobby, helpful staff Things that could be improved: no tissue paper; minimal room for luggage unless you move the furniture around on your own; they spray the room with some kind of air freshener which you can smell on the bath towels, attention to detail could be improved - e.g. hair on the floor after cleaning
We had a great time in Barcelona. This is a cute little hotel with great Wi-Fi and the most lovely staff. Karina checked us in when we arrived and gave us the nicest rooms in the hotel. She and the rest of the staff were so helpful! The hotel is a little dated and breakfast was minimal but still a great place to lay your head at night. About a 10 to 15 minute walk to Sagrada Familia and 25 minute walk to the beach.
Once we got our bearings this hotel was in a great spot, approx. 25 mins walking distance from Las Ramblas, a 5 minute walk to Glories Metro station and the Tramway is directly across the road. Room was spotlessly clean and simply laid out and compact - complete with kettle and a little study desk and chair. Little disappointed there was no comfortable chair to relax on after our full day's walking but there was no space for it. The hotel was quiet overlooking the back of the National Theatre. Breakfast was continental buffet style and was served in the basement.
We (family of 3 with a load of luggage) needed a reasonably inexpensive one-nighter before boarding the cruise and this fit the bill nicely. Not a glamorous place; small rooms, good showers, no real view. But quiet and well located. Morning front desk woman (so sorry I forget her name) was amazingly helpful with making arrangements for getting to the port and finding Paella for us. If you want a good budget place as a base of operations, this would do fine.
it s was very well, the room was very clean, the food was very good, towel was change every day. I was surprise I was pleasantly surpised by a exiistence of safe, fridge and a mug for preparing cafe sand tea. Congratulations
We stayed from the Friday until the Wednesday in the room that I asked Ruth for, thanks Ruth. The staff in general are really great. Unfortunately I don't remember all their names, I should by now as this is my third time there. Maria and the other lady whose name I have forgotten at the breakfast are really super jovial people. It is a real pleasure to be attended indirectly by such people. Thanks to both of you, you have always been excellent. The food at the breakfast is excellent, not a massive choice but more than enough for such a smallish hotel. Fresh fruit from melon, strawberries, mango, apples, bananas, grapes etc. Concentrated juices not bad but I prefer water in those cases. Coffee not bad for a automatic machine. Choice of cakes, biscuits, jams. Bacon, sausage, beans, egg. Breads of different kinds, croissants (not the best), omelette excellent for one that is not home made, tastes almost like home made. Really nothing bad at all. I have never not enjoyed the breakfast there. Staff at reception really friendly and helpful. An extremely useful service is the possibility to shower later in the day. You have to obviously vacate your room by 12.00. I wet off, came back at 16.30. They provide you with towels etc and the show room has a toilet and is big enough. You can leave your luggage in a lock up and it is well protected.
This hotel straight forward, simple, and perfect if your goal is to explore Barcelona. We stayed for five days, and although we didn’t spend most of the day at home, it was always wonderful to come back to. It’s in a great part of town: a bit more relaxed, a short walk to Sagrada Familia, and only a few blocks from multiple metro stops, which will get you anywhere you need to go (7 minute subway ride to the gothic quarter and great hangouts). Unless I wanted an expensive luxury hotel, I wouldn’t have any reason to stay anywhere else.
My room was 105, and I'm quite sure all rooms at 1st floor are the same. basement style rooms, if I open the window I can see the reception and the parking entry, the air-conditioning that works as a heater is old and noisy, difficult to sleep with so many noises. Looks older than in pictures, maybe if you get a different section of the hotel ...No worth the price
This hotel has no particular charm, but it is practical and does the job. Pros - Close to Sagrada Familia - Non-touristy area - Good shower - Comfortable bed - Friendly staff Cons - No charm - A bit far from most tourist areas - Basic breakfast
- Walking distance to Arc de Triomf
- Free WiFi in rooms and public areas
- 24-hour front desk
