Clean, nearby metro station, nice stuf,in the centre of Barcelona. The room is too small and the breakfast was the same each day,i stayed there 4 nights. The hop-on,hop-off bus station is in the placa del spania,300 metres from hotel.
Stayed here for a few nights. Good location, subways nearby and restaurants for breakfast also close by. If you are not too lazy to walk, You can reach many attractions with a 30 min walk. The room was nice and tidy and was cleaned every day. We had the room towards the street, didn't have a noise problem. Service was good. Would come here again.
I was at a conference and needed someplace close to the plaza. This hotel was a good price, close to my conference, and had nice people at the front desk. I stayed in room 606, which faced a concrete enclosure. No view, but quiet. Wifi there was okay, but not super strong. Breakfast was okay. Bathrooms were clean. Fun decor. I would come back her again.
we have been in Evenia Rocafort for 5 days. the location is very good and close to the metro station (about 3 min by walk). the reception staff was very kind and available for any question we had. the room , the dining room and the lobby was very clean with good atmosphere. the WIFI works EXCELENT!!! thank you very much, you made our vacation to be perfect! totally recomend!!!
Positives Evenia Rocafort Hotel is located very conveniently between 2 metro stations i.e. Rocafort and Poble Sec. The stations are at a stone's throw of 100 - 300 metres only. The hotel is also near Espanya - is a large station offering good connectivity. You can find many tourists taking the City Tour Hop on Hop Off buses from here. Many TAPAS bars and other restaurants located around Evenia Rocafort. The breakfast at Evenia Rocafort had a limited spread but was well priced. The restaurant staff was overall helpful. Being a boutique hotel there was no concierge - however the reception managers were helpful in arranging cabs and also suggesting sightseeing and dining options. 2 super markets were located in the adjoining building whereby you could items of daily use. Negatives The rooms were quite small. Also the room windows opened to the back duct. There was no change in the breakfast menu during the 5 days of my stay. No Tea/ Coffee kettle was provided in the room.No complimentary water bottles provided. Oct 2016
The room is a bit tight for 2 people but doable. It's clean and well maintained. Front desk was nice and helpful too. It's located about 2 short blocks from Poble Sec metro station. Near by is a street with bunch of restaurants and outdoor dining (no cars allowed). It was always busy with diners and people stopping by for drinks. the pedestrian street is called Carrer de Blai. Tried couple of different restaurants and tehy were both good.
This is a nice hotel .good opcion .nice room and clean .the location is close to the poble sec metro .near down town I got a plan with plane tkt . Breakfast is not expensive and a lot variety every day
Rooms 507 and 508 compact but clean, quiet, air con effective but a bit noisy. Smart foyer/lounge area but no bar. We booked two rooms, some months ago, for two couples, but one of us got room 507 and the other got room 102 which was so small you barely had room to walk around the bed and a terrible view; it was pretty grim? We complained and were eventually allocated a room next to the other one we had on the 5th floor. Overall hotel decor is modern and interesting, but not jaw dropping, not worth paying over the top for. There were a good many cafes, and some restaurants nearby, but the local area is a little seedy and not very vibrant. Within walking distance of the magic fountain which is pretty spectacular. Needed to use the metro (a few minutes walk) to get around all the other attractions in th city. So it isn't central.
Nice clean hotel! Great location and a great price. Walking through the area provides some great sightseeing, and allows some great local finds. Great restaurant, Ocho BCN, right next door, which is a MUST visit!
Firstly there is a Metro station at the bottom of the road (Poble Sec - if come out on C de Manso exit just come up stairs and do 180 degree turn and you heading straight up the road to the hotel) on line L3, 3 stops away from La Ramblas (which is probably walkable though I didn't attempt it). Very handy plus Placa d'Espanya (airport bus from and to hotel), Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya and Fonta Magica (must see the night show but note not on every night) are in walking distance, say less than 20 minutes. Staff very helpful and all spoke english. I had a problem locking my door one morning and the hotel chap fixing something in the next room took 5 minutes out to fix it for me. Didn't need to contact reception! Hotel is actually quite stylish. Large pictures are held up in the lobby by large black clothes pegs and there are fake LPs hanging from the ceiling in the lobby (looks better than it sounds). Records were by some bod I'd never heard of plus Michael Jackson, David Bowie and Prince. (Worryingly these were put up 3 years ago and now they are all dead. Hmm). Some very comfortable and again stylish chairs are in the lobby - believe they said it was all done by an Italian designer. Computers - have both iMac and Windows machine though I had trouble with both - it's just how the hotel has set them up I think. I had to e-mail my boarding pass to the hotel from it for them to print on their printer as I couldn't print it from the computers. Annoying but they were very helpful in enabling me to print my boarding pass. (Always seem to have some trouble in this area abroad). The room was also stylish again with fake LPs (different artists) hung off the head board, some modern art piece on the wall, all with modern lighting. All very good but no bath - walk in shower. Suited me but maybe not for other. Had air con, safe tv, small desk and chair - all mod cons. The room was supposed to be soundproofed - not sure about this and reception wasn't either, however apart from what sounded like a couple of teenage girls singing loudly one evening in a nearby room, I didn't have any problems. In fact that's all I heard all week - made we wonder if the other rooms near me were empty. All quite clean. Room was round the back so no road noise issues and the road the hotel is on doesn't seem overly busy. There is a small supermarket a few doors up from the hotel which I found useful - drinks are cheaper than from the mini bar/fridge in the room. Breakfast - record/modern art decor continues in the restaurant/breakfast area which provides more than adequate breakfast options (€8.50 per day) for most - I was happy with it and it compared well with other hotels I've been to in the last few years. Usual croissants, cereal, fruit, yogurt, rolls, cold meat, fruit juice and coffee etc.. Probably missed a few. I didn't pay attention to external breakfast possibilities to be fair so if you prefer not to pay extra/more for eating in you'll need to check other reviews. Sorry. Although I did find a nice ice cream shop in I think the Av de Mistral - handy if coming back from Placa D'Espanya! Also it's cheaper than buying say in La Ramblas. And better. Basically, does the job nicely, I would recommend it and might well stay there again if I couldn't get anything closer to La Ramblas. Finally the area surrounding the hotel seems to be quite safe. Had no problems.
