I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The location is convenient - although not being right in the city centre, the metro Poble Sec is just a block away, making it very easy to make journeys to anywhere in the city. From the hotel, it takes about 15 minutes to the magic fountain and a viewpoint at the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya. The room I stayed in was spacious, modern, clean and in a good condition. There is a fridge with minibars. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Only complaint I had was unfriendliness of one of the staff. I checked in at night and despite of having booked a double room, I was given a twin room. I asked at the reception if it was possible to change to a double room and was told NO, there was no room left and there was nothing he could do. I then explained I specifically booked a double room and even make a request to emphasise this. The reply from this staff was that even though I had requested for it, it does not mean that I would be guaranteed the room type. Well, at that point I was thinking that I did not request for it, I PAID for a double room specifically! I totally understand that this situation could happen and would not complain about it only if the staff had at least showed his willingness to help solve the issue, not just saying NO and refused to help in anyway. I then asked if I could change the room tomorrow, he answered possibly but I had to come back and check again in the morning. I really do not understand why he could not check in the computer right in front of him if there would be a double room available on the next day. Should this sort of information not already be in the system? I asked him again if he could check for me now so that I knew if I should fully unpack my suitcase. He then seemed very bothered and checked in the system unwillingly and told me yes there should be a room available tomorrow. I just don't get it why he did not want to check it for me at first. He seriously need more training in customer service as I think this type of attitude should not exist in a person working in a hospitality industry. Other staff were nice and friendly though. If it was not because of this particular night staff, my experience with this hotel could have been much more pleasant and I would happily rate it 5 stars. Will I recommend this hotel to others? Yes, but avoid checking in at night.
Take a room to the backyard, the streetside could be loud. The room is nice, modern and clean but the walls are badly soundproofed. The bed is for us a little bit too hard. The breakfast is excellent with different choice of hams - also iberico - 2 different coffee machines (One with pads) and fresh fruits. Helpful staff at reception and breakfast room. (On Jan.1. every guest came later for breakfast but only 1 person was serving, being totally overwhelmed with removing the dishes and bringing new food plates. Bad staff planning by the management. But she managed it. We recommend this hotel, ist in the near of Plaza Espagna and also in walking dintance to the 'tapas mile' in the Blai street.
For a 3 star hotel this is a great quality, rooms, good, service. I highly recommend. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, much better than any international chain 3 star hotel. Staff service flawless .I will definitely return.
I really enjoyed my stay in Evenia Rocafort hotel. The hotel is really modern and quiet. The reason I haven't given it full marks is because the room is that little bit too small. There isn't much space between the end of the bed and the bathroom wall. They could have actually made the bathroom a bit smaller and the bedroom a bit bigger. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.. although I feel they could improve on their directions. As a non Spanish speaker, it would be helpful if they wrote down on a piece of paper the names of the streets. The hotel said it had an offer three nights for two but I pre booked 3 nights and paid in advance and this offer was not applied to me. I booked an additional night though another website when they didn't have availability on the own website. I booked one night with breakfast. The breakfast was a nice continental breakfast and enjoyable. However, to save money I would recommend going to the cafeteria vivari which is just across the road from the hotel. Their pastries are to die for. They also have sandwiches and quiches. The location is very good, not far from plaza espanya. We got the blue airport bus to there which is the first stop and it was perfect. Both the hop on hop off buses go from there also. We got the red but but there always seemed to be a lot more of the other bus. It is a good investment to get the two day bus ticket. There is a great supermarket in the shopping centre at plaza espanya, I would highly recommend it. Magic fountain also there which is a lovely sight at night time The walk to Las rambles took us over twenty minutes. I wouldn't walk it again and get the metro instead which is really easy to use once you get the hang of it. Overall, really enjoyed our stay in the hotel and would love to go back. Barcelona is such a cool city and there's lots to do an
We had such a great stay! The rooms were spotless and the staff were very friendly. The hotel is ideally located to get around the city, as it's located 2 minutes from the metro line. It take approx 10 mins to las rambles and 25 minute to the beach. I can't recommend this hotel more highly, we will return.
We only stayed a night but the decoration was quite fun. The room was clean and quite spacious, but it was very close to Plaza Espanya and to the Airport bus. The only thing we didn't like was the bed, as they were very hard.
I stayed here as it was great price and not too far from the Estadi Olympic Stadium. I was travelling solo so didn't really need much just somewhere to.put my head down. However the staff were really helpful when I forgot my travel adapter and couldn't charge my phone they let me borrow one of there's. Not a negative to be said. Very clean. Pretty cool. LOVE THE DECOR. Close to the metro if you want to visit La Ramblas etc. Thank you very much!
2 friends and myself stayed here for 3 nights. Lovely hotel - rooms a bit small - but ideal for a few nights. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Would certainly recommend this hotel and if/when I return to Barcelona I will stay here.
It was our first visit to Barcelona and to Spain. This hotel is not very big but nice and comfortable. Rooms are clean and modern with TV set and good Wi Fi. The most important thing is location. It is very close to a Metro station and to all interesting places to see. You can reach the sea on foot. Near the hotel you can find plenty restaurants and cafes to spend time in the evening.
Lovely modern hotel in easy reaching distance of all the sights and venues. Very well priced. Rooms are very clean and tidy, modern looking with TV and air con. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Lovely power shower in the very modern bathroom with toiletries available. We went B&B as there are plenty of quality restaurants very close by. If you are touring Barcelona get a T10 ticket for around €11 this allows you to use the buses and underground daily. Would definitely stay here again.
