Very relaxing holiday in picturesque location

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in the cottage in September 15 and we would definitely recommend this cottage to others. The cottage itself is split into 3 flats - ours was lovely, very clean and had traditional rustic features with great views of the hills. The outside area is shared by the 3 flats and includes a pool, table tennis, bikes, pool table etc. It is all well maintained and we enjoyed it so much outside we spent most of our week there. We did not have a car so relied on public transport. The bus stop is just a couple of minutes walk away and the express bus takes you into Barcelona in 35 minutes. Josep and his family made us feel very welcome and we would love to return one day. It was one of the most enjoyable holidays we have ever had.

Beaucoup d activités possibles sur place , très bien pour des enfants ou ados. On y retournera avec plaisir. La location est parfaitement entretenue et on peut manger des produits bio de la ferme. Parfait.

Perfectly placed and authentically Catalan.

The property is beautiful with great character. The outside space is spectacular with great thought given to providing everything possible to keep the family entertained and comfortable ,from; table tennis, badminton to the outdoor cooking and eating area. The farm animals are a lovely touch to remind you that you are on a working farm. The town is full of locals and not tourists this adds to the sense that you are in a real Catalan town and not a tourist creation. The final bonus is that Barcelona is 45 minutes away. Close enough but far enough away to escape the clamour of the tourist trappings. We visited the closest beach and were delighted that it was not crowded. Town, country, beach, culture and lovely accommodation.

Peace and seclusion less 1 hour from Barcelona

We had a great stay at Can Burguès with our toddler. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything we needed, and the pool and garden area was perfect for lazy afternoons in the sun. There are shops (including a supermarket) and bars and restaurants with 5 minutes’ walk, and the location is also great for excursions further afield - you can get to Barcelona by bus or train in well under an hour, and the motorway is also nearby. Josep and his family were very welcoming, and we wouldn’t hesitate to return, or to recommend Can Burguès to friends.

UN ENDROIT TRES CALME PRES DE BARCELONE

Accueil chaleureux par Josep et sa famille, toujours prêts à répondre à vos questions, à vous renseigner sur les sites touristiques, très serviables. Le gîte et la propriété sont très bien entretenus. Le gîte est grand, avec tous les équipements nécessaires. A 100 m du gîte, vous trouverez tous les magasins nécessaires, ainsi qu'une ligne de bus pour vous rendre au centre de Barcelone en 40 mn, ultra pratique. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir mais cette fois-ci en été pour profiter de la piscine.

Can Burgues Base Camp

Had a nice week, all four of us, in late September this year in Can Burgues in Santa Eulalia, Catalunya. Our host Josep Margenat recommeded close by places to visit - Montserrat, Caldes de Montbui and town of Vic to mention in addition to Barcelona where we spent for a couple of days. Josep even booked us a visit to famous Godorniu cava-house not far away from Santa Eulalia by car. Our accommodation at Can Burgues was perfect for us. You had everything you need at hand for daily life. In a near by restaurat, the name of which I unfortunately don't recall - just the opposite of the main street when coming from Can Burgues, a young chef served us, when asking, a real full local menu at a very decent price. After that I felt I'm not able to take anything for a couple of days. But miracles happen and in the morning it was quite ok to start with a good breakfast made in our well equipped kitchen. The Margenat family was taking good vare of the guests and certainly can recommend Can Burgues for anyone who like to shuttle from there by car into different places in Catalunya or to stay by the comfortable pool area of the house.
