We are one block from historic West Street featuring some of the Bar Harbors oldest and largest seaside "cottages" as well as the famous tidal sand bar, which allows tidal access to Acadia's Bar Island. Our apartment is located on the third floor of an historic turn-of-the-century building that was originally the Bar Harbor Toy Company, which manufactured wooden toys from raw lumber. The apartment is over 3000 square feet with hardwood and carpet floors, a master king suite with its own full bath and trundle bed for those with kids. There are three other smaller bedrooms (one king, one queen, and a full size futon bed) sharing two full baths, a fully appointed kitchen with stainless appliances, breakfast bar and dining room seating for 8. The apartment has window and floor model air conditioning and off-street parking. We are also adjacent to the Island Explorer bus route, a free island wide bus service operated by Acadia National Park, June 23rd through Columbus Day.
