This property was wonderful for our family’s trip to Maine. I have no complaints to report, but I do have a couple of suggestions for those traveling and staying here, especially if traveling with kids. The buildings in Maine are all old and this one is no exception. The floors creak and the doors squeak very loudly. My kids are all light sleepers (ages 5,3, and 3 months) so the doors squeaking made them toss and turn a bit and the bathroom door squeaking in the middle of the night felt like it would wake the entire neighborhood. Also, there is no filtered water on site, so you may want to stop and grab a bit before arriving. The owner provided several bottles in the fridge and that saved us from having to go out late to grab some when we arrived. Lastly, the parking is not super convenient. It’s in the back of the building and you’ve got to walk around to the store front. It isn’t a long walk, but for arriving with luggage you’ll want to park in the front and unload when possible.
The water pressure is a dream, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is beautiful, and the owners are communicative. What else could you ask for?
