We had a fantastic time at Sugar Rush. The space there was plenty of space for two families. Our five kids loved the downstairs bunk room with plenty of games, a 3-in-1 air hockey, pool and ping-pong table, and a TV. Hot tub was great and so was the fire pit and front porch. The house was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Decent view in a quiet neighborhood. Super convenient and easy to get to all the activities of Sugar Mountain and Banner Elk. We had everything we needed! Would love to stay here again!

Poorly managed; left disappointed.

Three words: hot tub folliculitis.We had a group of nine recently stay in a property over the weekend of 2/21. However, we were left far more disappointed with the stay than we were satisfied.One of the pullout beds was broken. The advertised foosball table was also broken. We were provided (1) trash bag for a two night stay for NINE people. It took multiple messages and a lot of pushing to get mgmt to drop off additional bags (why push back to begin with? It’s in their best interest to allow us to keep the house clean)…The bottom floor bunk room did not have AC or heat; just one floor heater…and not enough to keep 3 people warm in February weather.And the real quicker was the hot tub folliculitis that affected 3 of our guests. This was confirmed by a doctor with one of the guests currently on antibiotics. Fully understood that these property mgmt companies have contracts to protect them i.e. “use at your own risk” but it is the legal responsibility to properly maintain the hot tub to ensure guest safety. I’m chalking this up to poor management and “end of season” mentality - the filter was ELEVEN days past due.The only saving grace was the proximity to the ski resort. I will be providing a similar review via VRBO (our booking agency) to ensure the actual home owners know how their property is being managed.Avoid Blue Ridge Mountain Rentals. You have been warned

Short Weekend

My wife and some of our friends came in for a wedding at Grandfather Mountain and this was the perfect location. Spacious house with plenty of beds and close to everything that we would need! We had difficulty getting into the house during check-in, but this was resolved quickly and we had no other problems during our stay!

Sugar Rush gave me a Sugar High!!

This property was perfect for me and my two older teens and their friends for a 4 day ski getaway. The location is perfect for skiing at Sugar. The house is very clean and well maintained. Loved having three floors of bedrooms so that everyone could split up. The hot tub and outdoor fire pit were big hits with the teens. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice property!

Very accommodating for two families with teens and little ones. Proximity to Sugar mountain was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again during the summer months.

Better than the pictures!

This house was wonderful! We had 2 families of 4 so the bunk beds and downstairs area was perfect for the kids to hang out. Very clean property and had all the necessities for making meals etc. the hot tub was also a nice bonus! We didn’t get to enjoy the fire pit due to gross weather but it looked very nice. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Great Ski Location

House was newer with plenty of room for all 10 people to spread out and relax. The house was very close to Sugar Mountain lodge for skiing. You can catch the shuttle or drive down easily. The secluded hot tub with blue tooth speakers was a highlight. A few small issues were quickly resolved by management.

Sugar rush was great!

Great property. Comfortable beds. Clean house. Didn’t get a chance to use the hot tub. Fire pit was nice. Great hikes close by. Overall a great property. We will come back given the opportunity!
