Round cabin with firepit near Boone/Blowing Rock/Ski Slopes/Wineries/App State

The Hideaway is a newly remodeled, modern, 740 sq ft, round cabin that is ideal for a romantic getaway, small family vacation or a peaceful solo retreat. We are centrally located in the town of Foscoe between Boone (9mi) and Banner Elk (10mi), NC.

You will also be near:
~ Hawksnest Snow Tubing & Zipline (6 mi)
~ The Original Mast General Store (6mi)
~ Sugar Mountain Ski Resort (8 mi)
~ Blowing Rock (10 mi)
~ Tweetsie Railroad (12mi)
~ ASU (12 mi)
~ Grandfather Mountain (13 mi)
~ Beech Mountain Ski Resort (16 mi)

Our favorite spot at our property is the outdoor firepit area. We use it whenever the weather allows. Starting our morning with a cup of coffee and a fire; while enjoying our peek-a-boo views of Grandfather Mountain really makes us feel like we are on vacation. In the evening after a busy day at the slopes, snowtubing, riding the mountain coaster or hiking a new trail we love to snuggle up next to a fire and roast Marshmallows. Check us out on IG (the_hideaway__nc) and let us know your favorite spot at The Hideaway!!!!

For those visiting in the summer months. We DO NOT have A/C. This is very common in the mountains due to the elevation which offers cooler summers temperatures.
The vacation home is heated and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a fireplace, and a coffee maker.

We had a great stay here. The house was cute, clean overall, comfortable, and well-furnished for our needs. We appreciated that it had both TV and decent DVDs, all the basic amenities provided, laundry machines, and a great selection of kitchen equipment for cooking (much better than many other places we have stayed). The neighborhood was quiet, and the trees surrounding it helped it feel more secluded from the many neighbors. It is located conveniently close to all the stores, restaurants, and hiking locations we wanted to visit in Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock. It has no AC, so it got a little warm inside in April, but there were lots of fans inside which helped keep it comfortable. It might be too warm to stay very comfortable in the summer, but for fall, winter and spring, would definitely recommend!

The cabin worked out perfectly for us. Loved the central location to both Sugar Mountain (for skiing) and Boone (for the great food). It’s also extremely close to a Dollar General in case you forget anything. Wish I would’ve paid attention in the listing that one room had a full size bed (the other has a queen), but we made it work for our family of four. Having access to a washer and dryer was a win for me. There’s a shared Jack and Jill type bathroom between the two rooms. The porch was an enjoyable place to hang out and loved the plethora of blankets provided. All in all I would definitely return.Only words of advice: Try to arrive when it’s still daylight. There are several steps you have to walk up to get your luggage into the house and when we arrived at night, we definitely felt the presence of some animals watching us.

We stayed her for the weekend for my husband’s birthday. Cozy and clean. The shower has hard water but you just have to let it run for a minute or two. Very close to everything. We went into banner elk, Boone and over to Grandfather mountain. It was not cold enough to ski or snow tube while we were there but it’s close to the slopes. There’s a dollar general across the street if you need anything quick. Great place for a weekend getaway.

The stay was over all very great ! The only reason we give 4 stars (would give 4.5 if possible) is only because the mattress to the bed was very uncomfortable but manageable! We loved that the host provides games, which we enjoyed playing out on the patio and s’mores by the fire, which the host provided tools to make! The outdoor lights definitely add a touch of coziness and charm as well. The host is so kind, communicates well and even allowed us to check in a little early if it was possible to do so that day, we loved that! The area is not far from a small town, but does make you feel like you are in the middle of nature, very private and peaceful! Being within 30 minutes of blowing rock, grandfather Mountain, and downtown Boone is definitely a perk. We highly recommend the stick boy Café and bakery in Boone, as well as the mountain dog Café three minutes away from the stay itself (perks of it having a dog themed coffee menu named after dog breeds) we thought it was so precious! We loved our stay !

Beautiful and quaint just no AC

Overall a nice stay minus the AC, it was a 80 day and we sleep pretty cold at home... my husband and I didn't sleep well. Windows were able to open but the weather was not on our side this trip. Quiet area and close to many things. Nice get away for us overall. Thank you for the stay

Perfect little retreat

My partner and I visited with my 5 year old. It was the perfect little house for the 3 of us. The house was nice and clean and everything was explained perfectly in the check in details. We really enjoyed sitting out by the fire pit roasting marshmallows. I definitely recommend staying! It’s very obvious that the owners love thier property.

Great stay!

My family and I (3 boys under 5 y/o) stayed here on our trip to get a Christmas tree from a local WNC tree farm. We had the best time. The boys absolutely fell in love with the Christmas decorations in the house, especially the tree. We would love to stay here again! You can tell the owner takes time and pays attention to what guests need/want. They had firewood available , and all the necessities you could think of. Thanks for a wonderful , memorable experience!!
