Cozy mnt cabin centrally located in the High Country!

Post-Helene update: roads to cabin are clear, and cabin has water, electric, and internet.

The property is located in the small mountain community of Mill Ridge in Foscoe NC. The house has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a small kitchen and open-concept family room + dining area. Outside there is a covered wrap-around deck with rocking chairs, sitting area and a grill. There is also parking available for up to 3 vehicles, with easy access to the house. The Mill Ridge community ammenities include hiking trails, a beautiful outdoor pool and 2 small ponds.

Please be respectful of check-in and check-out times. If there are not renters checking-out and checking-in on the same day we are happy to allow a late check-out or early check-in.

The master bedroom is on the 1st floor with a queen bed, full bath (double sinks), ceiling fan and a small flat screen TV. The kitchen is also on the 1st floor, fully stocked with dishes, silverware, pots/pans, coffee maker, blender and more. The family room has a flat screen TV with cable/wifi, wireless internet, a propane wood stove and a ceiling fan. Upstairs is the 2nd bedroom with a queen bed and ceiling fan. There is a full bath (double sinks) in the hallway. The 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds and a half bath.

The property is centrally located in the High Country: 10 miles to downtown Boone/Appalachain State University, 9 miles to downtown Banner Elk, and 10 miles to Blowing Rock. In addition, we are 6 miles from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, 15 miles from Beech Mountain, 11 miles from Appalachian Mountain Ski Resort, 14 miles from Grandfather Mountain, 20 miles to Linville Falls and close to multiple access points for the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen, 2.5 bathrooms, and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms. Such a great cabin situated in the perfect spot to catch all the local offerings. The cabin has everything you need for a fun trip with your family or friends. I’d highly recommend. The cabin was neat & tidy. Lots of towels and bath cloths. It was in a great location. It was a little difficult getting into the driveway though. But a neighbor told us about going up the hill & turning around to make getting into the driveway easier without spinning.

mountain cabin

The cozy mountain cabin is located in Banner Elk North Carolina, which is only 20 minutes from downtown Boone, which is pretty convenient for accessing activities in Boone. There was enough space for all my friends to comfortably stay. Just note that there is a gravel parking lot. My car got a bit stuck in the gravel, but was able to get it out pretty easily. The driveway to the cabin is a bit small and there is a tree root in the road. Other than that, the cabin suited our needs well and we enjoyed our stay.

From the moment we walked in to the cabin it felt like home away from home. The space was wonderful for our family’s two night stay, but it would have been a great place for a longer stay too! The home has a full kitchen if you would like to cook your own meals. The front porch is peaceful and comfy to sit and drink morning coffee. It is in a nice central location to all the places we needed to go to while visiting Boone and Valle Crucis. Just down the way a couple of miles is a perfect view of the old man sleeping (Grandfather Mountain.)

Lovely Mill Ridge Resort

This house is nestled in the Mill Ridge Resort off hwy 105 and offers tennis courts and a pool along with trails. The house was perfect for our group of 6 ages 17-66. Location is great off hwy 105 and close to Boone and Blowing Rock. Don’t miss a trip to Maw’s produce on hwy 105 in Foscoe while visiting.Hosts were always quick with a response.
