This is hands down a remarkable place. Everyone was so nice, the place was super clean, quiet, and close to everything. 10 stars!!

Bottom line up front: great hotel, we would use again. We have always been pleased with the Marriott brand. I gave 4 stars for location simply because there was no place within walking distance, but very close to everything with a car (including restaurants, the mall and SAMS Club for the least expensive gas in Bangor). I also gave 4 stars to overall experience because we could hear the people up above us on the floor. This is my only complaint. Next time I would ask for top floor booking. We stayed here as we had some friends from out of town come to visit, and we do not have space to offer them accommodations. So I picked this suite thinking it would feel more like a home environment. We were very pleased. The room was extremely clean. We had a small kitchen with real dishes. I love having coffee in a real cup instead of paper. There was coffee for 4 full 12 cup pots plus condiments. Th coffee was good, not horribly strong. A table with 4 chairs made the room slightly tight, but it made visiting much more comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and had down comforters with plenty of pillows. Toilet and tub was separate room from bathroom sink which was convenient with 4 people. Also, there was tons of closet space that ran the length of the wall between kitchen and bathroom area. One person forgot her toothbrush, and even though they had some for sale, the desk person provided a free one. We did not check out the swimming pool or the free breakfast. Both the check in and out staff were very friendly. This hotel excels in the two areas we most desire...cleanliness with comfortable bed.
I had a great stay with my grandchildren. It is a nice hotel and close to everything...dining, shopping and entertainment. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
