Staff were very pleasant. Room and hallway smelled like they had been smoked in for years and never really properly cleaned/renovated (desk attendant later politely confirmed that our level is awaiting renovation/new carpet). Room carpet, sheets, and bathroom door (brown smear!) did not appear to be properly cleaned, although as we were checking out we did see multiple staff cleaning rooms. Bathroom sink faucet was stiff and hard to use, and sink was clogged & draining very slowly. Doesn't seem like bad place, and maybe we just got the short straw this time.

We had to wait 20 minutes to check-in. As there's only one desk person on that is also the shuttle driver. We had to wait 20 minutes to check out as there was nobody at the front desk again. The front desk staff were very polite, but waiting 20 min to check in was not acceptable. and it could have been cleaner. The restaurant food was not great and it came out cold. I was very disappointed in this hotel.

It’s an obviously an older hotel based on the outdated styles, but for as old as it is, it is well maintained and the staff are great. The food was great too! Love the affordable rates and will probably continue to stay at this hotel every summer when we stay in Bangor area
