I decided to book Win long place for the last 2 nights of our honeymoon and now I wish I hadn't. I decided to buy the most expensive room available (2570 baht) for 2 nights to surprise my husband, I also opted to have a super deluxe room, a bath and pre paid for breakfast. 2 of our friends also booked in for one night and decided to not pre pay for breakfast & just pay when we arrived. We arrived at breakfast this morning and all ordered scrambled egg, ham, sausage and bacon, when the waitress brought mine and my husbands out it was merely a spoonful of scrambled egg and two slices of tomato. When our friends came out it was scrambled egg, toast and a side salad. We waited around 5 minutes assuming the lady was going to bring out the other food advertised but this didn't happen so when we asked she just said there was no ham or bacon and reluctantly bought out 3 sausages on a plate. When I queried why the other couple recieved a bigger breakfast than us they said ours was a budget breakfast because We had coupons (that we're pre paid for) where as our friends where paying then, which makes no sense because I'd paid the same just when I booked rather than on the day. So id already paid extra for a super deluxe room which was tinier than any other room we'd stayed in on our entire trip. The Bath of paid alittle extra for was child size and me (5'8) and my partner (6,3) couldn't even get in it. The photos of the room are taken on a wide angle lense making them look a lot bigger than what they are. The pool, only 2 people can fit in this at once so I wouldn't even bother! The lady serving breakfast was rude and really didn't care that we were unhappy. The wifi is hit and miss so don't hold your breathe. We struggled with getting taxis to the hotel because the hotel is down a dodgy alley way. Honestly it's put a downer on the end of an amazing honeymoon. So disappointed.
If you need a budget style hotel in this area then this is a good option. Good wifi, comfortable beds, all the essentials and a basic breakfast to get you on your way. A 10 min walk to the BTS and the river ferries.
Small rooms (tiny bathroom) with aircon, decent service. If you are looking for something close to the Skybar (and the Skytrain), this place might be a good option. Recommended especially for backpackers
We have just spent 4 nights at Win Long Place and sorry, but since November 2015, the place has taken a dive.....no hot showers, luke warm sometimes....wifi was atrocious, even the staff were frustrated because it kept turning off, maybe because the hotel owner kept turning it off???? and it has become very noisy from house guests after hours/ maybe needs some sort of night supervizor......sorry Win Long, no more.
This Hotel show wrong Pictures for that Price !They have 2 Buildings . One is old (very old ) and one is 3 years old . 50 Procent of the Workers very unfriendly . Breakfirst is bad . Aircone blow directly to your Bed . So in beginning to hot and later to cold . No switch off for the light near Bed . Room very small . And Service ? Sorry Win long .... You have to change alot!
I live in Bangkok and opted to stay at Win Long due to an international school job fair at one of the big hotels nearby. I found the location really convenient and the place suitable for a couple of nights. I stayed in the new building and the room was perfect.
We Stayed 3nights from 31st Dec and we had a good time there! Pro- The staffs are helpful and friendly The rooms are nice and clean and there are all Hotel facilities. The location is closed by most activities in the city ( Even we had bad times because my Taxis seem do not want to come to this area, but it is not the hotel fault). Cog- The rooms and bathroomS are small, i meant it, small. (But you get what u pay for, anyways!) Wifi is not avialable in the room, only lobby . And it''s ways too slow.
We have just come home from 2 weeks in Bangkok at Win Long Place. Awesome spot, we stayed in Room 204 in the new building. Close to everything, especially the river, a 2 minute walk. Close to China Town, MBK, Silom Village, and a tuk tuk ride to anywhere you want to go in Bangkok. Room was fantastic, air conditioning beautiful, bed comfortable and clean, daily room service/clean and on site mart/massage and restaurant. All services excellent, mart very cheap and good supply of everything, massage cheap and fantastic service anytime of day or night, restaurant is basic but very good service and quality. We had room service many times and the food is great. We used Win Long Place as a base as we travelled away a couple of times to Chang Mai and Hell Fire Pass, and because of the cheap rates we could afford to just leave our stuff in the room while we travelled away. Very safe environment and no hassles at all. The staff are awesome and helpful at all times and we will never stay anywhere else in Bangkok, Thank you Win Long Place.
I was stay here in Win Long Place Hotel & Aparment with my friends for one night on 22 appril 2015. It s very nice by the service, staffs and reasonable price. Also the location of the hotel is quiet and cormfotable
We stayed here on our first night of travelling in Thailand. Firstly, NO taxi drivers have a clue where the hotel is, it it's down a very questionable back alley. So watch that as language barriers with the taxi drivers mean you will end up getting out and walking, tuc tucs seem to have a clearer idea of where it is. We were told we would have free wifi in all areas, not true. The reception woman was fairly rude, told us we only had wifi in the lobby (which is a very small reception area). When we told her booking.com listed free wifi in all areas, she gave just one of us the password (typed it in herself and refused to write it down). After persuasion she did type the password into both our phones however it repeatedly went off all evening and morning so we had to keep going down 6 floors for her to type it in (as we were wanting to book more hotels etc for our time in Thailand). So, we thought we would go enjoy the pool area (looks lovely on the website). NO- at the very best it is a large bath! 2 decking chairs and very small area of grass- no more than 2 guests could be out there at once! The room was clean however. Shower was slow running but fine. Beds very hard and mattresses made out of fake leather. All in all, to be honest we felt like something dodgy was going on and didn't feel too safe, lots of people wondering around and hanging outside- not the best stay for 2 girls! Would definitely not stay again.
