The staffs were so helpful. They let us check in earlier than scheduled as we arrived in the noon. Having had a bad experience with taxi, the staffs helped us looking for good taxis and communicating with them. However, don't forget to bring your own toiletries.
It was worst experience. Reception people were so arrogant and not helpful. They even charged from us for the a bottle of juice which is kept inside room actually we didn't open it. Their staff purposefully billed this amount. Tuk tuk driver not happy to drop us to ferry station, he simply wanna earn some money for dropping somewhere else. Staffs are very angry to our kids. Overall it was unpleasant stay with Vabua asotel.
I have nothing but good things to say about Vabua Asotel. It's affordable for long term stay, they have a restaurant that serves wonderful Thai food, the rooms are suitable and quiet, the bed is comfortable, and the hotel staff are perhaps the nicest people you will ever encounter. It really helped in regards to my vacation in Bangkok. I do plan to stay here again the next time I come back to Bangkok and I of course recommend anyone else to stay here as well. KC, STAYED HERE 2/21/17-3/5/17
For people with business in eastern Bangkok the location is fine, but expect to use taxis - up to THB 100 to the nearest subway. However, you can quickly (30 minutes) and cheaply (THB 20) get to central BKK from Wat Klang Pier just 300 meters south down the road. All of the staff are great and the service is friendly and professional. Choose a suite or executive room on the south side of the higher floors. The patio restaurant/bar area is a nice quiet place to chill over breakfast from October to January when it's a little cooler! The restaurant's food is reasonable and there are a few good places to eat within 200 meters. The open seafood place on the corner of Lad Prao Road (left from the hotel entrance to the north) is quite good and reasonably priced. A little Thai language will help!
Vabua asotel is not on the tourist trail. If you want BTS, MRT and to step out into the bright lights of Bangkok in sukhumvit then if I were you I'd book a hotel in sukhumvit. If you want a cheap hotel with friendly staff, an excellent bar where they let you make your own whisky sours and you have the ability to navigate your way around Bangkok then this is the place you want! Lat Phrao MRT is a 20-30 bus ride or 15 minute taxi ride away or you can get the boat to asok then get the MRT. This hotel is great, food is awesome and everything else but if you're new to Bangkok or like life spoon fed to you then it's a no no. Bang kapi has it's own charms too and you might not even venture to the usual haunts. I love the place, lost count of how many times I've stayed now and I'll be back in September.
The hotel is located near NIDA, our destination. The traffic around is heavy. The room is ok comparing to the price we paid. The basic amenities were provided. No breakfast. Not many shops or stores around. However, Beer garden and Karaoke room are good. Staff are helpful and polite.
Very Great cheap hotel! Great service overall, stayed for Muaythai training and helped with every need. Very Welcoming Just a basic suite room, has a greet bar and western food down in the restaurant and great entertainment. Other then then the rain leaking into room and no jug to make coffee, it's a great place to stay on a low price range. Great view depending were room is.
I have been to this hotel multipel times and service is always good, its close to the airport and the restuarant it pretty good also. Clean and big rooms, helpful staff. My only complain is that I had other guess trying to get into my room at night 2 times, I always make sure to lock carefully. Its close to the mall tawanna and very affordable.
My mate and I were here for 3 nights. A very clean hotel with a very nice staff. Our room was cleaned perfect every day and we didnt have any problems. Only problem is that it's very far from central Bangkok. And a taxi to central Bangkok costs around 200 bath. The outdoor area was very nice and had a great atmosphere. The food in the restaurant was okay, and the waitors were very nice. :-)
we make a mistake on booking this hotel. when we got there we realiEd that the location of the hotel is far from bangkok's tourist attraction. the transportation cost consumed the most of our pocket money the staff's are not good in english and they give only one wifi username on each room regardless of the capacity of the room. the street along this area is poorly lighted
