Don't even check into this hotel. It is not worth your time. We walked into the room and just started laughing. The shower is over the toilet. There is no separation. The bell man is crazy. He ran after us shouting where you going my friend can give you a ride where are you going? We walked next-door to The Metropoint got two rooms and went back and got our money back from Vabua No I really shouldn't forget to mention the snake head soup on their dinner menU We will laugh about this place for a very long time
I stayed here for one week. Staff very friendly food is great big selection of cocktails too. Only disappointment was with other patrons from Africa. I'm not a racist I witnessed patrons from Africa started fighting police was called in. The next night they refuse to pay a bill after drinking. I don't think I'll be back. I guess cheap hotels invite bad patrons.
From the minute I stepped out of my taxi, I was greeted by a really friendly bell boy who speaks decent English and he actually remembers me subsequently and where I'm going off to work. Reception was alright but not all can converse even in basic English. The hotel itself looks dated and so is the room. It is nonetheless clean and spacious with a nice balcony. What I didn't appreciate was the open space concept of the bathroom with no separation between shower and the rest of the room so it's a wet mess after shower. Also, within 1 minute from my first use of the shower, the shower hose detached and I couldn't attach it back. Since I was only staying for 2 nights I didn't want to bother with changing rooms and simply showered with the hose direct Location is not the most ideal with the nearest 7-11 and eateries a few minutes away. The hotel has 24 hours room service to make up for that and the menu is really extensive, didn't try out though. Overall it isn't that bad for a short stay and very affordable.
Excellent Hotel, clean and tidy with friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of places to eat around the Hotel with the Hotel itself providing good food at reasonable prices. If you are new to Bangkok then this place may not be for you as it is about a 20 minute taxi ride away from downtown, however, this should not put you off.
I have first stayed at Vabua Asotel in October 2016, at the recommendation of a friend who lives in Bangkok. My first impression of this hotel wasn't to positive because it's located on a side street away from the nightlife and the building itself looks quite aged. But upon my first visit here i was completely blindsided at how so amazing this hotel is. The staff here is are so helpful and very professional. This hotel also have its own restaurant that seems to draw almost everyone which is not so surprising because the food they prepare and serve is top notch when it comes to Thai cuisine. And most importantly the guestrooms here are excellent; with comfortable beds, shower with hot water, a balcony with a view of the city, a big-screen HD tv, and pretty good room service. I came here again just this past February and like last time enjoyed my stay. This is a great hotel that I wish more people knew more about and I would be more than happy to recommend this hotel if ever come to visit Bangkok.
nice hotel but location not at the centre of city .... mineral water free of charge, no kettle in room , ask to recepcionist they gave free hot water :) take your own soap n shampoo coz those are avaiable in room but not for free free tuktuk to closest pier so you can enjoy river transportation along with locals i think many restaurants around but coz i'm muslim so i didn't eat at those , mostly bought foods with halal labels in seven eleven....
The staffs were so helpful. They let us check in earlier than scheduled as we arrived in the noon. Having had a bad experience with taxi, the staffs helped us looking for good taxis and communicating with them. However, don't forget to bring your own toiletries.
It was worst experience. Reception people were so arrogant and not helpful. They even charged from us for the a bottle of juice which is kept inside room actually we didn't open it. Their staff purposefully billed this amount. Tuk tuk driver not happy to drop us to ferry station, he simply wanna earn some money for dropping somewhere else. Staffs are very angry to our kids. Overall it was unpleasant stay with Vabua asotel.
I have nothing but good things to say about Vabua Asotel. It's affordable for long term stay, they have a restaurant that serves wonderful Thai food, the rooms are suitable and quiet, the bed is comfortable, and the hotel staff are perhaps the nicest people you will ever encounter. It really helped in regards to my vacation in Bangkok. I do plan to stay here again the next time I come back to Bangkok and I of course recommend anyone else to stay here as well. KC, STAYED HERE 2/21/17-3/5/17
For people with business in eastern Bangkok the location is fine, but expect to use taxis - up to THB 100 to the nearest subway. However, you can quickly (30 minutes) and cheaply (THB 20) get to central BKK from Wat Klang Pier just 300 meters south down the road. All of the staff are great and the service is friendly and professional. Choose a suite or executive room on the south side of the higher floors. The patio restaurant/bar area is a nice quiet place to chill over breakfast from October to January when it's a little cooler! The restaurant's food is reasonable and there are a few good places to eat within 200 meters. The open seafood place on the corner of Lad Prao Road (left from the hotel entrance to the north) is quite good and reasonably priced. A little Thai language will help!
