Stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel in the centre of Bangkok. Nice rooms, comfy beds, staff very friendly and helpful, nothings to much for these guys. Very close to all tourist attractions, kohsan road and palace. 45 minutes from Bangkok international airport.
The trang hotel bangkok is located in a quiet area... Breakfast is OK but caters to more Asian than European hotel porters are great and very helpful with information .The rooms here are in need of upgrades as they don't look like the photos posted on there website .khou San road is not far away ....be careful as I booked a superior room and was given a standard room... All in all not a bad hotel but look around you can find better.
Breakfast is good, staff are nice, junior suite is big, cost is reasonable. Cleaning level is below average. The carpet in my room has many stains, dust accumulated on the very old TV. Local TV channels, and Aljazeera Engish. No soap, tooth brush/paste, bathroom slipper, not enough drinking water, no coffee or tea bags in the room, only 2 small bottles of water. And no water dispenser for hot.or cold water.. FOR THAT, a 40 USD per night for.the suite I got is ok. They provided me with water boiler and I had my afternoon tea by myself.
Stayed for a night, near to highway. 10 mins walk to Khao night market. Nice rooms, breakfast looks nice.. they provide tours to visit floating market. Safe luggage storage. Staffs friendly.. No kettles in room :(.. WiFi sometimes weak
I stayed in the Trang in January as a solo traveller. It's not too far from the hub of Khao San Road - about half an hour's walk, although some of that is along the flyover which feels a little sketchy. The amenities are fine - clean room with TV and wifi, good AC and a restaurant/bar on site. I didn't see anyone using the pool, but it looked fine. All in all a decent place to spend a quiet few days in Bangkok.
LOCATION: decided to try this hotel out as it was near khaosan road Located in a quiet area,2 7elevens nearby and not much else! motor workshops and the like.as we had a rented car,it wasnt too big an issue.parking, though limited (abt 20 cars),was free and had security 24/7 CHECK-IN: As we booked thru Agoda,it was a breeze as usual ROOM: Pretty average size, large King-sized bed.Separate shower,WC and sink! Pretty clean but def not spotless. For the 1st time ever in our travels, there was no kettle in-room! i enquired about it and receptionist asked us to call room-service if we wanted hot water.VERY inconvenient! especially if you have babies.Small balcony with a view of some old, deserted, spooky building! BREAKFAST: Our room rate (abt US$40/night) had it included.Spread was downstairs (pics attached) and the outdoor area was fab! Food and service was below average. We only ate a bit the first morning and skipped it on our 2nd morning! There's also a nice medium-sized pool adjacent to the breakfast area but no spa, thought there were signs to indicate its existence! a hotel in bangkok without a SPA!! how could they?? CHECK-OUT: Fast and efficient After visiting thailand many times the last 3 years (wife is thai),i just realised that they are no 24/7 coin-operated laundry! no drive-thrus for fast-food and no automated car-wash!!! Enquired about doing some laundry at the hotel and the rate for same-day express service was THB280 per PIECE of clothing! decided to walk around and found a hole-in-the-wall laundry at the back of the hotel......washed and dried about 4kgs of clothes and 2 towels for THB 220!! was ready in 6 hours and clothes smelt nice!! Would we stay here again? probably not!
This hotel is situated in the heart of Bangkok. It is walking distance from the famous Koao San road. Room was basic but clean which is expected from a 3* hotel. Big pool located in the centre of the hotel. Receptionist was very helpful and spoke good English. Downside to the hotel is that there is no safe in the room and when we arrived at the hotel (around 9pm) it wasn't very well lit up and not many people where around. Would recommend this hotel due to its location and cleanliness as it is cheap for what you get! Would also highly recommend the restaurant 'Chomp' just around the corner(5mins walk) from the hotel especially if you aren't a fan of the street food along the road!
We stayed here for 3 nights in April 2017, room was clean and had a good ensuite. Pool was lovely and the breakfast looked good but closed at 10am. Good location with a 7/11 just around the corner. Short walks to the main attractions and sights.
We stayed for three nights and found this hotel to be very good value. The pool was a great addition after a hot day in the city. We paid an extra 50% of the daily room rate for a late checkout which was worth it for us. Friendly helpful staff. The rooms are of a reasonable size for the money. A courtyard area in the centre of the hotel is pleasant enough. A few negatives: Breakfast was very poor value and not included in the room rate. It cost nearly £7 and was simply not worth it. We only made that mistake once. There's a 7-11 just across the road. There is a strong unpleasant smell in some of the rooms. Something drain-like which is very off putting and I can't understand why they can't get rid of it. The shower in our room was inadequate with low pressure almost to be useless. The hotel is in a good location but for some reason Uber and Tuc tuc drivers don't seem to be able to find it. Overall good value for the money.
I didn't know what to expect with this hotel as there are so many mixed reviews. But now after staying their and have experienced it for myself I must say it is very below average considering its rated 3 stars. We checked into our first room and it was horrible. The bathroom had mold and all the grout in the tiles was black even the bedding had yellow stains all over it. Cosmetically it needed love but that wasn't our issues it was the cleanliness. We went and asked to look at another room (as i had read on reviews and the front desk didn't seem to mind like it happens all the time) and the room was just as bad but had a wet towel smell. Went back to the front desk and asked to see another room again... same issue yellow sheets and bathroom filthy. We ended up asking to look at a junior suit and to our surprise it was actually clean.. no mould no stains no werid smells, even cosmetically it looked good. We ended up paying extra for the junior suit. To explain all of this was hard as their english isn't very strong. Be patient and they will get it. The breakfast is a varity of food. The only issue's we had was after telling front desk and management we wanted free daily breakfast after the trouble of the rooms the resturant didn't have the information so we constantly had to go to the front desk, get them to call the restaurant to clear it up. Which once again the information at the front desk wasn't put into the system so we had to fight that battle again. Close to the palace and khoa San road. Taxi and tuktuks are easy enough to get from the front road. (Be careful of scamers in the area google lucky buda) Its a very tired, run down building with lights out down the coridoors, plaster peeling off the walls and skirting boards falling apart. After seeing 3 different basic rooms there is no way i would stay there again unless i was able to get the junior suit i might consider it.
