This is my ninth visit to Bangkok this year. I have been staying at various Sheraton and Royal Méridien properties before this trip. This is the first time I stay at Westin Grande Sukhumvit and it was quite a pleasant experience. When I walked into the lower lobby the door girl Pui welcome me. After she helped me to store away my golf bag she asked me if I’m a SPG member. I said yes and she said you must be Mr R. I was quite Amazed because she’s not even a Concierge manager. She then proceeded to lead me to the executive lounge. She seated me at a small table at the cocktail area and brought me a cold drink. The lounge completed my checkin at her own desk and brought me room keys while I’m relaxing at my table. It was quite a wonderful experience. After I checked out at the executive lounge the next day. Another junior staff Woramit arranged to store my luggage my golf bag while I went out for a meeting. When I come back he has already arranged my taxi together with route instructions to where I would be going. I was quite impressed. The hotel facilities are 5-stars and the service staffs are well trained. I’m a SPG Platinum member and I strongly recommend this hotel.
This is my first time to stay at westin grand sukkhumvit. It's awesome! I really enjoy my time during the stay. The room is so clean and modern. Also, it's good view! The staffs is so friendly especially the doorman ( a girl) is super friendly always smile, when we came back. I will comeback to stay at this hotel for more and more if i comeback to BKK
it's my first time in The Westin Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok I like the Uniform of the hotel receptionist. I think it's polite and simple. Looks very professional. and i like the lobby it's good for relax.
The hotel is great, but the staff, like Mie at reception, are what make this place amazing! Upon arriving at the hotel, I realized my flight was later and returned back to the hotel. She was able to get me back in, no sweat. Great job, Mie!!!
My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights in late October before flying to Koh Samui. We booked through Qantas and got a good deal on an Executive Suite. The room was nice and spacious although a little dark. The bathroom was very small for a suite. No turn down service at night which was a little surprising. We were on 22nd floor and could still hear toad noise The breakfast was good and staff was friendly. We enjoyed the club lounge benefits through the day and evening drinks and canapés. We enjoyed drinks out on the terrace. We also booked in for the seafood grill dinner which was very enjoyable. Pool and gym facilities were very good. The hotel is well located near Asoke BTS and Terminal 21 shopping Centre. Would recommend the hotel and would stay here again.
The hotel is a real five star hotel with all amenities and a great breakfast buffet with both Thai and many other Asian and international cuisine. The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable, especially after long walks to visit all the attractions in Bangkok. Staff are very courteous and try to help you in any ways they can. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Did I mention that the hotel is also in a walking distance from both subway and tram?
I’ve stayed here many over the years, his hotel has the best pool because it’s private and breakfast buffet. The rooms are nice clean and comfortable. Not 5 stars just because the check in is always slowww, the front desk folks are rather stiff they could use a bit if personality. The pool is great my only complaint is that it’s also the hotel smoking area, when doing laps or relaxing you need to out up with cigars and the inevitable chain smokers luffing away next to the pool. I will stay here, it’s not my go to business hotel anymore because the cost keeps going up, the hotel is 30+years old, I do like it for private trips. Also a the location is very good.
We booked directly with the hotel and stayed in a premium deluxe room for 4 nights. Location: - right beside Asok BTS but you will need to navigate the stairs up or cross a small side road to use the escalator up to the skywalk level, unlike Sheraton opposite which will have you from lobby to skywalk on the same level - also walking distance to Sukhumvit MRT - Directly adjacent to Terminal 21 which has a good food court and an interesting array of small shops selling quality stuff - being just a few stops away from Siam means that it's that much less crowded and yet still accessible - There is a 24hr Tops supermarket next to the hotel Hotel atmosphere - business/convention style. There were numerous conferences and meetings on the weekdays but it never felt crowded - No hordes of tour groups which is a major plus point - Service is responsive and pleasant Room - Spotlessly clean and spacious even with a rollaway bed added - The beds are truly Heavenly and the assortment of pillows available for selection is amazing - Blackout curtains really effective so you could sleep till late morning without being disturbed - Our room was closer to the main road and BTS so even being on a high floor, we could still hear the drone of traffic and the trains at night but nothing that kept us from sleep - Housekeeping was prompt but the turn down service in the evening neglected to empty out the full bins. But we were grateful for the top up of the nespresso coffee capsules and bottled water - Bathroom was spacious and did not have any glass panels between bedroom and bath (which seem to be in vogue these days but can cause considerable inconvenience and awkwardness sometimes). Shower was easy to use with good enough water pressure and easy to adjust water temperature. Extraction fan could have been a little more efficient. Breakfast - one of the best - Never crowded and no waiting for a table - Fresh fruit, fresh juices (sugar cane and whole coconuts) and even wheatgrass shots available - Gluten-free bread available - Wish there were more local desserts available among all the pastries; only on one day did I get to have some look choop - Only minor minor point was the tea they serve was quite awful Pool - Not too small - On the 8th floor which didn't get much sun in the morning so water was freezing. Prob better in the afternoon - Poolside seats were great to lounge about on - Pool water was very murky and even tasted salty! - Personally preferred to be poolside rather than in the pool Gym - best thing is their Pack Light Stay Fit service. Westin provides a set of New Bakance gym wear (sports bra not included), socks (yours to keep) and shoes for a nominal 150฿. - Superbly equipped gym with 4 treadmills, 2 step machines, stationary bikes and one rower. Free weights, kettlebells and power rack available - Separate small studio for stretching/ fit ball use - Steam room and sauna available A very pleasant stay marred only by housekeeping losing one half of my dental retainer. I only wear it at night and had left it in its container on the table but found the top retainer missing after I returned to the room in the afternoon. After informing front desk, the usual checking with housekeeping did not find anything. Of course, one half of a dental retainer is of no value to anyone except myself. I was upset that housekeeping refused to admit their carelessness. This loss cost me great inconvenience and definitely more than a night's stay. Overall, it's a very clean, efficient and convenient hotel. Great for a business stay. A little impersonal for a family vacation with no resort or holiday feel. But the beds and breakfast could make me overlook that minor point because really, who goes to Bangkok to spend time lounging by the pool?
This hotel has a great location. It's right in from of the metro line and next to a huge mall. You literally walk out the front door and see a huge Argentina Steak house, the mall and the metro. I love the pillows on the beds here! They are perfectly stuffed and make for a great night's sleep. While this location is great it was a tad noisy at night, if you are a light sleeper you may want to make sure you don't face the metro station. The staff here were friendly and helpful. Hope to return soon one day!
