The hotel has an old style to it and reaks of smoke from the old days. Concierge and bells boys were great before and after we stayed. Rooms should get renovated as some of the styling is outdated and moldy especially in the bathroom. Our shower door couldn’t close, the magnet in it wasn’t working. The bațhroom flooded a bit after showering, that was a mess. We do like the central control for the lights and AC which was very convenient. Room service was nice when we ordered a late breakfast. Our room didn’t include breakfast, but they did include 50% off for the restaurant at the lobby for breakfast. As for airport transportation, they just call a limo/taxi which is not complimentary. The location has great walkability. It’s about a 10 minute walk to BTS Sala Daeng, 6 minute walk to MRT Sam Yan, 2 minute walk to Patpong Night Market, and many other bars nearby. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

I chose this hotel because of the location which is perfect for the night market, night life and restaurants. Everything is in walking distance. The hotel itself has almost a colonial style and offers very comfortable rooms. I received an upgrade which made me very happy. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Come back for sure!

We stayed here for 3 nights before heading off to Kanchanaburi. Great location for Patpong market, literally 5 mins walk, Hotel was lovely and the breakfast was great. Was very impressed with the staff who were all really helpful and kind, would definitely recommend this hotel. Metro stop just round the corner aswell (Sam Yan) so lots of places easily accessibly for just a few baht. Easy to get to from the airport sky train.

Booked this hotel as we had an early morning appointment in the area, had read mixed reviews but were not too concerened and any concerns were laid to rest very quickly as the hotel exceeded our expectations. Check in was friendly and quick and our room was very clean and exceedingly comfortable. We had intended to eat in the hotels restaurant in the evening as it was advertising an international buffet that looked quite nice, unfortunatly the buffet wasn't available during the week, plenty of other restaurants in the area. Despite it's proimity to the main road and Patpong it was surprisingly quiet. We would, and probably will, stay there again.

The hotel is in operation for 47 years already and is the process of refurbishing and remodeling its rooms and facilities. It has very spacious rooms complete with modern washrooms. This is near several night markets and the ever famous Pat Pong (red light district). It also has a coffee shop inside the hotel.

It the first time I stayed in The Tawana, knowing it was an old hotel. But its location beats all and the price is very budget. Located right in the Silom area, Patpong is just on the footstep, Silom, Sathorn, Chong Nongsi are all within minutes walks. You can enjoy the foot or body massage or a drink at the nearly bar and then return to hotel with a relaxed walk. The hotel itself is a very old, in terms of deco, fit-out and others, but I would say that it is reasonably kept and clean anyway. The room is quite spacious, comfy bed and pillow, nice bathroom. But the room is carpeted that I dont like whilst the corridor is solid wooden, I think its much better if ther are reversed ! You need to pay for wifi, which is a real turn down to me. The pool is such a mini and small one, I did some sunbathing there which is good though, but very noisy from the surrounding buildings.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. Its location is perfect, no Taxi driver gonna miss it! It is a bit old but refurbished. I liked sitting by the swimming pool at that very beautiful garden. there is a bar by the pool and they serve really good and affordable meals. My room has a nice view on the swimming pool. However, also the hotel location was good, but I didn't like that neighborhood. it was very commercialized area. everybody stopping me on the road and ask me if i want Boom Boom (sex)! It happened that someone even grabbed my hand to take me inside a massage shop. that was truly act of harassment. Even the roomboy at the hotel acted in a similar way. he took my suitcase to the room and I apologized that I have no change to give him a tip. He reminded me about that the next day when I passed by him at the reception!

Maybe built in the late 70 or 80s. . Nice pool for central City Hotel. . Not classy or trendy but Good value for money. Animated surrounds but not for kids at night..... Hotel restaurant is also ok.. not far from main touristic spots....

It's been quite a while since my last visit here. Nothing changes. Lobby is beautiful, staff are outstanding, friendliness and efficiency from everybody. Khun Keeseyra who is customer relations is always pleasant and helpful. All staff are fabulous. Rooms are excellent with all extras and facilities. Great to be back there.I will visit more often again and recommend to all business associates and friends. A free car park for residents, great restaurants. Well done Tawana...Kevin x
