Very nice rooms and friendly staff, very well situated for the mall and nice and quiet, easy to travel to places of interest,, good family hotel with not too much fuss, the staff are very helpful. The food could be a bit more exciting,
Some time ago (see my previous reviews), I rated this hotel as the best budget hotel in this area. Unfortunately, in my experience, it subsequently went downhill, but I can now report that it has regained its crown. I stayed here for a couple of nights recently and all was well, and as it should be. The now more professionally-focused staff checked me in courteously and efficiently, and allocated me a nice room on the top floor (as I had requested in my booking). And the previous obnoxious practice of requiring a 500/1000 baht cash deposit seems to have gone away, for me at least. The room itself was pretty much the same as it has been for several years, but was clean, with a fridge, flat screen TV with many cable English-language channels, and everything worked just as it should. My only gripe is that there is no option for wi-fi in the room, not even paid. It's only available in the lobby, where it works well. For the price paid, this hotel is hard to beat, as long as you don’t want to stay in the centre of Bangkok. The location is fine for me, being next to a large retail mall, with a good supermarket within 100 metres, and local buses to all parts of Bangkok, including the airport train and the BTS within a 5-minute walk (a cab to Suvarnabhumi airport will cost you less than 200 baht). And, if you’re really adventurous, there is a canal boat stop a couple of minutes walk away, which will take you to Bangkok centre (if you don’t mind this mode of travel). Overall, I would recommend this hotel for the budget traveler who wants a comfortable, clean and convenient place to stay.
Its nice and comfy, the room is wide with twin bed, sofa, wardrobe space and bathroom inside. Luckily I cant stay alone in my room because the building is old enough to make me feel ..... and tv is unable.
The hotel room I stayed in - the Junior Suite - had a decent amount of space, but that's about all. No silverware in the room, no microwave in the room (although they do have a fridge), no ironing board, the WiFi is not free in the room but has to be paid for, almost no English language channels to watch on TV, which, by the way, is smaller than the screen of one of my early desktop computers I bought in the early 90s, the towels don't smell nice and fresh, the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired... It might sound like I'm being picky, but I have certain simple requirements of my hotel and these didn't seem to necessarily be met here. I liked the cleanliness of the hotel, the really helpful staff who spoke generally decent enough English and the hotel's proximity to where I wanted to be - but the above points made it difficult to continue to offer them my custom.
This hotel located closed to The Mall Ramkamheang. Room is small and provide TV, chiller inside. The swimming pool is small too. There is closed to the cannal boat transport, That you can travel to the central Bangkok easily and very cheap. ( 1 km. from airportlink that take you to Suvanabhum airport or Phayathai station.
Booking at front desk for 1 suit n 1 delux..so far has good service n good room. However if book for lowest rate on internet may end up w smaller room and older floor. Also hotel has change staffs and service is improved. Staffs are active n very helpful with additional help book for large size taxi n fast in giving additional blanket. The breakfast buffet has boiled fresh milk which is great to add to hot coffee! Hotel chef add Indian n Malay dish in addition to Thai dishes. The negative point is free internet to only 1 laptop or cell phone log in per room. Hotel still giving out paper password code that need to update daily!
You will see light only in reception area. The room lobby is dark full of smoke and seepage smell. Rooms are dark small and no basic amenities. You pay for even towels at this hotel. The front desk is not at all cooperative and ordering a taxi though them is never ending process. Some decade old TV units and bathrooms with broken blinds and hardly any space to stand. Breakfast time, the area was full of flies and serving of food was pathetic. Very very far from city and major shopping and tourism places. It is recommended being close to airport which do not solve the purpose of stay if you have for tourism at Bangkok. You spend most of the time in cab since bangkok being traffic inclined city. At night AC sounds are loud view from windows gives access to your rooms We had booked this hotel through tripfactory.com travel agent for 3 night and the situation was so worse that we shifted to a new hotel after 1 night even after upgrading the room. Please do not waste money here. Even if you have to spend some extra 1000 THB i shall recommend that. Worst ever stay in my travel experience.
First time visiting bangkok and luckily i am bought tour package. The hotel is small, packed and the lobby is crowded, I stayed 2 nights and in the first night, the got small, dark and smelly room. and i cannot complain to move to another room since the room was full occupied. so stress. The luggage handling is so chaos, they did not deliver the luggage to the room (eventough they said they will and we wait long for that) at the end, our luggage abandoned at the looby, close to another group tour (almost mixed). The location is also worst, very far to go to everywhere (I mean bangkok attraction or tourism site) and since we are lucky enough to buy tour package, the location is not an issue anymore since we have bus waiting to deliver us everywhere. I tried to take uber and grab to khaosan street (return) and it is difficult to take uber at night, and the price is so so (even though the location is very far), and the uber driver cannot speak English. They only drive and follow the map. So my advice, please take grab taxi instead, because mostly taxi driver able to speak english at least. 2nd night, i got another clean room and it is OK, not too dark and gloomy anymore. so my advice, if you have a chance to choose the room, better you ask the receptionist to see the room first before they place you in certain room. breakfast also so so not so many menu, they have halal food as well, and i ordered standard omellete and sunny set up, because i am afraid bad food will ruin my day hehe.. so i prefer to choose the safest menu. please, brought some flip flop if you like to walking around this place because you need to do a long walk, so be prepare. ( i am not kind of "walking people") Above review is OK if compare to the tour package pricing, because i got good price when booking it, but i prefer to choose another hotel if i have chance to visit bangkok again in future.
A location is very good. Very easy if you come from Suvarnabhumi Airport (Use Airport link 30 THB and Taxi 50 THB). BUT the room is too old and tried condition. The floor is peel off and rotten. A bathroom is too small and covering with a layer of fungus. Linen got stained. AC is too noisy and it working on the first day but not the second day. We changed to a new room but AC still not cold enough, I slept without blanket and I did adjust the temperature to 16c but still too warm. The reception always busy and make an angry face all the time. However, the housekeeping staff and bell boy are very helpful. The bottom line is NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. This hotel need a big renovation!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only the Lobby is maintained well. All rooms had some issues like overflowing toilets, broken shower cubicles, broken louvers in the bath rooms etc. all old and just being run.Free breakfast was alright but poor lighting in the dining area. Just a average budget hotel.
