I stayed at the Royal Thai Tien two nights while my stayat Bangkok. The location is superb just 5 minutes walk from Grand Palace. There are amazing temples, restaurants and bars nearby and several transport options as well. Service was good ( I was bit disappointed we didn't get more advice on the dressing code for the palace just meters away) and the rooms were super spacious with good views. I only would mention that the room lacked a big mirror, just a small one in the bathroom, and a bed side table ( you need to get up to turn off the light off). The hotel owns a restaurant/ coffee shop would prove handy if you want a breakfast/ food close to your room.

Just 2 minutes walk from Sanam Chai MRT station exit 1. The hotel is right next to Chaopraya river (no river view from room), you can spend your lazy day on the balcony. The room is not very spacious but suits for 2 people. Good A/C, hot water and amenities in room are fine. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

My partner and I have just spent 2 nights staying at this lovely hotel. Situated opposite Wat Pho and only a 15 - 20 minute walk to The Grand Palace, we were able to achieve everything we wanted to in Bangkok whilst staying somewhere considerably quieter and away from the night life of Khao San Road. It is also only a 5 minute walk to get the ferry for 4 Baht to take a 2 minute ride across the river to Wat Arun (which we did). We did visit Khao San Road at night to experience it but I’m glad we didn’t stay there. It is definitely worth a visit and we paid 80 Baht for a Tuk Tuk (100 on the way back). They will try and charge you 150 but you can easily get this down. There are some lovely quaint restaurants in the area and we had no trouble finding places to eat. But be aware that things shut early around here, generally between 20:30 - 21:30. We had a lovely roof top dinner at Chum Arun restaurant which overlooks the river and have us a stunning view of Wat Arun with a lovely sunset. You get 10% off the bill by staying at this restaurant, just make sure you go in and reserve as it is popular! I would really recommend this hotel if you want to experience the best of Bangkok but don’t want the rowdiness of night life. The hotel we very clean and tidy, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel and the level of excellence hasn’t changed at all over the year; perfection! The hotel is small and homey; you take off your shoes before entering the main rooms. Great location near to all the main attractions of old town Bangkok, plenty of eateries and riverside bars, and a very convenient 7/11 is about 1 minute walk away! Our room (city view) had a lovely view of Wat Pho and although there was a little noise from the road during the day, it’s very quiet at night (side note: be sure to walk around the grounds of Wat Pho at night - it’s free and gorgeous). No breakfast is included, but free bottled water is in your room every day. And the cafe attached to the hotel is an absolute bargain with lots of variety (the best Red Thai i've had in Thailand - £3 for a heaped plate)! Will be going back next year to the same hotel as it’s a great place to unwind for a few days before moving on to other places/counties (last year we used it as a place to relax before going around Thailand and Cambodia, this year we used it prior to travelling around Vietnam!) The only negative is that the bed is a little tough, but that’s fairly typical of Thailand! Also, the WiFi can be a little patchy but you’re on holiday so get off the WiFi and go explore!

Can't beat the location, or the price for this place. Walkable to many tourist sites. This room was affordable and felt safe, even if I did feel a little awkward about being in a different building than my friends. This place is comfy though not fancy. I'd stay here again anytime.

We stayed here twice and had very spacious and clean double rooms each time. The location is perfect to start exploring Bangkok, it‘s just across the street from Wat Pho. The staff was super friendly and professional, they let us store our luggage several times and organized taxis to the airport for reasonable prices. Definitely recommended!

This little hotel was exactly what I needed during my training at the Wat Pho traditional Thai massage school, which is right opposite. The price is adjusted, rooms are clean and comfortable with a beautiful view to the Wat Pho temple, especially at night, when it is illuminated. Its very easy to get a (moto) taxi or tuk-tuk. Also a pier of the express boat is close by. The members of staff are very kind and helpful.

We booked 1 room for 2 night and another room for 1 night because we extended our visit. The staff were very helpful, they helped us to check out early in the morning and secured our belongings. They also helped us finding a taxi to Hualamphong Railway Station in the morning and to Giant Ibis Bangkok the next morning. Most of the taxi drivers we met could speak English and the hotel staffs helped us to explain our destination to the driver. The room is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The wifi is good. Strategic location, in the evening you can walk to nearby restaurant to have dinner at Chao Phraya Riverside. I recommend this hotel if you want to stay near Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun.

We arrived at 7 am in the morning and got the most terrible customer service by one of staff. We had fully paid for two nights. The service was so bad we left straight away within the first ten minutes. Didn’t want the money back. Didn’t want any more communication with the hotel. We just booked a different hotel collected bags and left. Not able to comment on the size or comfort of the room as we didn’t stay. However giving two stars because the manager was very apologetic when we collected our bags to leave.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our three night stay. From start to finish the staff were friendly and welcoming, even when we checked in at 2:30am due to our late flight. We stayed in room 5 on the top floor with a nice view of the buildings in Wat Pho. The AC was a welcome feature! Our only complaint is that the bed and pillows were quite firm for us, but that’s just our preference. Overall a nice stay and great value. Would recommend breakfast and coffee at the cafe too.
