There is always good and bad, the first being the map on the hotel.com booking site is not correct we were told on the phone by the hotel after we called them because the taxi driver was going crazy trying to find it......be a good idea to change it dont you think? Standing in a small bath to take a shower in the deluxe room is not the safest or most comfortable option and the buffet breakfast though a decent selection was always cold even first thing in the morning. On the plus side the bed is nice and big, the internet is fine, the room service menu is quite good and the deluxe rooms have recently been refurbished apart from the AC which was noisy and inefficient, but because of its location i would stay again in a room with a proper shower.

Stayed there for 2 nights for last leg of Thailand trip..just for shopping purpose as its very near to all major shopping malls like Platinum mall ,Pantip mall..Siam square,Central workd, Isetan, Zen ,Pratunam etc .Breakfast is excellent..but no Swimming pool..stayed in 2 bedroom apartment very adequate with kitchenette..BTS station nearby Ratchathewi Station...great place if u want t just shop all around

The location of the hotel is fantastic, it is in the heart of the city but since it's off the main road, it is pretty quite. From the lobby, if you head right, you will reach Platinum Mall and Pratunam area, 7-10 minutes walk. If you head left, you will reach Siam Paragom, Siam Discovery, Central World, 15 minutes walk. There is a 7-11 convenience store 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast was so-so, it was the same spread for the 3 nights we were there. Room and bathroom is clean. The room is a little dark, you won't be able to do much reading at night. My room faced the old building next door that appears abandoned. But that didn't bother us since we were out most of the time and only used the room to take a shower and sleep. Staff were not friendly at all so don't except smiles from them. That aside, for the location, good size of the room and cleanliness, it was still value for money.

We ended up upgrading to the Family Room for the 5 of us, as the deluxe room we had originally booked wasn't big enough. The buffet breakfast was very good and the overall hospitality was great. We were within walking distance to major Bangkok shopping malls.

The room was a lot smaller than looked in the photons online. There was also a very strong mold and mildew smell in the room when we arrived. There was mold all in the bathroom surrounding the bathtub, sink and ceiling. There was very limited counter space in the bathroom as well. When I opened the cabinet that the rooms mini fridge was in I saw bugs running across the door.

We stayed in Bangkok to celebrate New Year Eve. Fireworks can be viewed from our family room and that fascinated us. The furniture may look dated, everything is sturdy and functions well. Each occupant gets 2 well-stuffed pillows on their comfortable beds and that makes us very happy and rested for the night. Room service is available, we ordered dinner to eat in and every dish was delicious. As we have to catch an early flight and scheduled to leave hotel by 6.15am, we managed to get breakfast from 5.40pm onwards even though it starts officially at 6am. Hotel staff are understanding towards us to extend the flexibility.

Nothing fancy, but for the price we're paying per night, it was really worth it. The hotel offers two types of accommodation, ie: typical hotel rooms and two bedroom apartments. We travelled in a party of four and booked an apartment. Room was spacious and comfortable. It comes with free buffet breakfast for four. Free wifi included. The buffet breakfast is decent. Like I said, nothing fancy, but definitely worth the amount of money you are paying for. Extra guests can enjoy the same buffet for 150 baht which is dirt cheap. Do take note that their menu is rather similar everyday. The hotel's location is splendid. It is within walking distance to huge shopping malls like The Platinum and Siam Paragon. While being close to the main road and shopping malls, the hotel is actually situated at an alley adjacent to said main road. As such, it is not too noisy and congested. As mentioned earlier, the hotel is situated in an alley off the main road. So do keep an eye. There is a 7/11 right at the entrance of the alley. Perhaps that could be used as your landmark. PS: There are a few tailors near the hotel. Do check them out. I got a suit made (vest and pants inclusive) for only about 3,000 baht. Really affordable and good workmanship. Suit was done in less than 24 hours.

You don’t have to pay high price to be located at the center of Bangkok. The Residence is a small hotel (about 80 rooms), but it’s in a great location. You’re in a walking distance from the major shopping malls in Bangkok. Yet, the hotel is located in a quite place, so you can relax and recover from your activities of the day. The hotel also offers “breakfast included” option, but it is so-so. I hope that the management would improved the quality of the breakfast. The hotel also offers a day-trip to most attractions in Bangkok. Overall it’s a good place to stay and relax in Bangkok.

Stayed twice in this hotel..of course, gonna be 3rd or more in my future visit to Bangkok again giving the perfect location (5 minutes walk from Platinum Mall) and great service provided! Not to mention its tasty breakfast included in the room package.. My recent stay in a Family Room in first floor is satisfactory though the room facilities are not modern but yet the room is clean, tidy and comfortable..It would be great if the hotel could control the noise of the air-conditioner..

Rates was high for this grade of the hotel. Aweful smell in the bathroom.bath tub choke and shower curtain smelly. Having inconvenience because only one room key was issued. We need to get the staff to scan the lift in order to go to our room. Location is not convenient as well. The hotel is in between the two BTS. A lot of walking in the hot weather.
