The Okura Prestige Bangkok5.0 out of 5.0

Recently I stayed at the Okura Prestige Bangkok with a friend. I am a highly discerning traveler, and I rate this hotel at a 9 out of 10! The hotel is centrally located and walkable to many restaurants and shopping malls. The rooms are large and have huge shower/bath areas and views of the city out of the large window. The pool is an amazing infinity pool that overlooks Bangkok, as does the gym. Besides the pool, my favorite part of this hotel was the very friendly and accommodating staff and the French restaurant inside the hotel. On my way back from Phuket connecting through Bangkok, I had a few hours to spend before my long journey home, and the staff not only remembered me from the week previous, but also allowed me to store my luggage and use their amenities free of charge. At the French restaurant in the hotel, the food was extremely good quality and the staff was very attentive, bringing me magazines since I was dining solo, a scarf in case I was cold, and allowed me to sip my cappuccino outside by the pool after the meal. Finally, their bar/lounge area off the side of the hotel was a unique and relaxing experience with the backdrop of Bangkok behind. If I was to suggest an area of improvement, I would comment that the staff could send a preferences sheet before your stay so that they could make tailored recommendations upon your arrival. I would definitely stay at this hotel upon my return!!
Rooms, meals and service were excellent. Every afternoon/evening from 5:30 - 8:00 I went to the Club Lounge where delicious snacks and finger foods and a wide assortment of beverages (alcoholic and non alcoholic) are served. Additionally every day in your mini refrigerator located in your room you get a quota of 6 assorted beers and 4 sodas all free of charge. I forgot my wallet in the room. When I came back there was a note informing me that it was in the security safe and I should call for assistance to retrieve it. Two people came to the room, one responsible for opening the safe and the other who had a document which listed/recorded every note/currency that I had in my wallet. After verifying the amounts I signed of on the contents. This really surprised me as I had a previous very bad experience of losing money from my hotel room during a visit to a Latin American country. The afternoon room "tuck-ups" with the "sleep well" messages adds a special touch to the service My family and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to other travelers looking for quality service and friendly staff
Top notch hotel, with top notch service excellent Japanese restaurant Breakfast selection is one of the best i have seen. A nice touch is the a la cart offering Location as good as it gets adjoined to BTS and to Central Embassy shopping mall Not really much to ask for
Spacious room. Professional staff ready to help - accompanying me to the room when I checked in. Checkout was also smooth. Comfortable bed. Will definitely recommend for business trip. Japanese breakfast was quite unique and enjoyable.
There are many 5-6star hotel in bangkok but this hotel beat them all! Japanese hotels are welknown of their servicemind and culture . We never thought that we would see this in bangkok hotel!! From the door when you arrived they won’t let you drag yourown bag and greet you with respect! The front give you a very welcome smile and fast checkin. The housekeeping bow with great manner and smile when you past them. Our door could not lock and we recieved a very quick respond and a note to apologised after the foor was fixed. Breakfast was very japanese and we loved them . Morning call address your name when they called. “BRAVO@to all the teamwork.Thankyou everyone for the perfect greating.
Room 3408 fantastic views out over the city, overlooking parkland and other skyscrapers incl hotels. Wonderful buffet breakfast incl lovely oriental choices in addition to international choices. The hotel actually starts on the 24th floor with an executive club on the 33rd floor. Pool and spa on 25th floor. Lovely infinity pool but no sun if you want to get a tan. Staff very helpful and a very comfortable hotel with good beds, lovely linen and great towels in the bathroom. One tricky point was controlling the room lighting from a bedside electronic pad, sometimes turned lights off in error when using the bathroom.
Stunning hotel Fab service Reasonably priced drinks and happy hour a bonus Great breakfast Lovely rooms Good location Comfy beds Easy link from sky train Great views One of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed in Feels special
I must say this hotel is probably one of the best if not one of the top hotels I ever stayed in. Friendly, professional and extreme polite and helpful staffs. Spotless, well kept, rooms generously equipped for the guests with everything you expect (no shortcuts or call us and we will send to your room stuff), gym opens 24/7, great views, excellent room service and tasty dishes, really can’t fault this hotel in any way. What’s more it has an infinity pool on the 20 something floor overlooking the city. Within walking distance to other hotels, restaurants, coffee shops and the Lumphini park which is high up on the to visit places in Bangkok.
I was lucky enough to stay at this amazing hotel for 10 nights, quality of breakfast especially the Japanese one was excellent. Western breakfast had a huge choice as well, but more than anything having a breakfast at the club lounge was such a treat. Swimming pool (infinity pool) is so beautiful, great place to relax with some cocktails. Location was very convenient as it is almost directly connected to BTS sky train station. It is easy to get around almost anywhere Club room was excellent, service was always spot on, great selection of drinks and snacks, staying at club room is highly recommended. Room is spacious, bathroom is modern Japanese style which is a huge plus. everything in the room was top notch. One thing I was disappointed about staying at club room is that there was no clear explanation of what's free and what's not. EX: beer is free but a bottle of mineral water isn't. Even hotel staff wasn't fully aware about this as I got charged drink what it is supposed to be totally free. That was such a confusing, and ended up paying 10 nights worth of world's most expensive bottle of water. After the some chat with front office manager, I had to check out from this gorgeous hotel with such a bad feelings, That was the last thing I wanted, especially when the fun trip is about to end. Overall I was so satisfied about service and hotel facility except the one incident I mentioned the above.
The hotel has a central location. Connecting to BTS sky train to get to the city attractions easily. Can see the beautiful view of Bangkok from the room. Excellent service from staff. Breakfast is a great choice, including a very good afternoon tea.
