Hotel was clean, well maintained with very friendly staff. Check In was done rapidly, I arrived in the afternoon and didn't have to wait too much. Well situated and not far from everything if you like to go for shopping. BTS & MRT are just a few minutes walk from The Key. had a very good stay there.
Nice boutique hotel in the heart of Bangkok Walking distance to MTR, BTS Terminal 21 for shopping Huge and clean room . Excellent breakfast and especially Excellent service From front desk , Bell Boy or maids Everybody was very helpful with a large smile . Highly recommended
I only have 48 hours in BKK and we decided to stay at The Key Bangkok at Sukhumvhit Soi 19 in view of its superb location to ASOKE BTS and Terminal 21. Staff is very accommodating and nice. Room is clean. Love the fact that there are massage places all around the hotel as well as small food carts selling yummy Thai street food. Overall it was a great stay. Only 2 things which I hope the Hotel can look into to make it 100% - replace with new beds (current queen bed not very comfortable with hard springs) and have glass door to the shower area instead of shower curtains. Am ok with the bed as we were staying for 1 night only :). I will definitely bring my family to stay here the next trip (just hope for a more comfy bed).
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights.. Check-in easy , staff very friendly, especially Breeze on reception desk, so friendly.. Room was good, air-conditioned, clean, hot water for shower, and close to shopping and all transport.. Overall a very happy experience here.. I would stay again, anytime I am in Bangkok again..
The room was fine with no problems noted. The staff were friendly and helpful. The staff's English language skills were not impressive but satisfactory for everyday needs. The included breakfast was satisfactory but somewhat lacking in variety of food offered. A big plus is that the local BTS Skytrain MRT Subway stations are right around the corner from the hotel! Also, whatever nightlife suits your fancy is within walking distance as are any flavor of restaurants, including Mexican, Korean, etc. I think the area is quite safe, just the usual vendors pestering you night and day. Good value and good location coupled with a friendly staff means that I will be returning to this hotel for another extended stay this year!
We (3 adults) stayed here twice over the course of two weeks. Our first room - a one bedroom suite on the 2nd floor was enormous and well appointed with a full size fridge and bath etc with plenty of hot water and good wifi reception. On our return from Cambodia we were put in a room on the 6th floor (again a one bedroom suite) but much, much smaller than our 2nd floor room and we were still charged the same price as our palatial room. With the foldout bed in the living area it was pretty cramped and on our first night we even got a bonus water feature in the bedroom with the air conditioning unit springing a leak - this was fixed promptly though. The wifi and hot water seemed to suffer from the additional floors we were on. As mentioned by other reviewers location is a real bonus with easy access to the BTS and MRT and shopping. Breakfast was ok and staff were helpful and booked taxi's for us to go to the airport (400B). Overall the hotel represented good value as it was hard to find a hotel that would take 3 adults in something other than 2 rooms with such a good location. Would stay here again but ask for the large one bedroom suite on the 2nd floor.
Hi, just had 5 nights at the key hotel Bangkok, unlike me, please read many reviews first . Hotel is in a great location, so easy for sky train and underground, uk take note how clean. BUT many rooms have no windows, but there is a big pane of glass between bedroom and hallway, screened by shutters, I had no idea if night or day. And why do 90% of travellers think they are the only ones in the hotel, BANG goes a door, most hotels are just thin concrete boxes, sound-travels loudly time and time again all hrs , slamming doors. NEVER do I find the need to do this and annoy other people. PLEASE think of others. Room was clean, shower over bath, ok if your 4ft tall. Would I stay again, mmmmm, not sure.
The only positive point about this hotel is its location. Other than that, the room was too small for three, horrible view, dirty windows, staff not being able to speak English, bad breakfast and to top it off, full of ants!
Nice little hotel almost next to Robinsons and Terminal 21 - good fot shopping mood =). I appreciate also good communication in advance (via email) and their effort to take care of special requests for allergic person for breakfast. Nice clean rooms. Room with one bedroom was big enough for family of five.
I was actually concerned that the hotel was fully booked and we were arriving late and would get whatever room was left. So a bit disappointed after seeing the room. The room was completely tiled and nearly all the tiles were loose. There was a window between the room and the corridor which meant every morning the cleaner would be clunking away with her trolley and buckets waking us up. The bath tub wouldn't drain when we ran a bath for the kids so had to call maintenance. Aside from that we did enjoy our stay because the hotel is well located about two minutes walk from Terminal 21 Shopping Mall. The hotel lobby has quite a low ceiling. I am average height for a European and my head almost brushed against many parts of the ceiling and beams in the lobby, and when leaving or entering the hotel I had to duck a little otherwise I am sure my head would have struck the beam. However, it all goes to make this hotel interesting. The staff were friendly and helpful although one receptionist didn't understand English very well and another gave us directions but sent us four train station further than we needed to go. One really good thing about this hotel is that there is a sliding door which leads to the back of a cafe that serves a really good breakfast. We didn't choose the hotel breakfast but instead ate here. We did enjoy our stay here, but just felt that our room was a bit run down. I managed to see some other rooms on the same floor that were being cleaned and they were a lot larger (probably more expensive) but were not as beat up as our room. The location is good for shopping, near the train station and lots of restaurants and massage parlors, but probably I would choose a different hotel during my next stay.
