Simple place and inexpensive. The location is not too bad as it is within walking distance (5mins) to Asoke BTS Station, Terminal 21 Mall and the is a Convenient Store nearby (2mins). The walk from the BTS could be an adventure during peak periods as there are many cars and worst, speeding motorcycles weaving in and out of traffic. Take care when Crossing the road. Tired and needed a massage - there are plenty to choose from. I did not have the time to try any though. The room is comfortable. Bed is firm but a little low for my liking. The room comes with refrigerator, Microwave Oven, Coffee maker and sink (like a Pantry) Bathroom has a long bath / Tube. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Television has many channels too. A hotel where you could sleep and rest, not for enjoying - it is not a resort - it is a boutique hotel anywhay.
We booked 2 executive rooms for 3 nights. The room size was clean, spacious, bathroom well designed and the kitchenette well stocked with complimentary water and coffee and tea. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near the BTS train station. Terminal 21 shopping mall is just a short walk away with many eateries. We had a very good stay during our 3 nights. Keng
Great location (near to asoke BTS). Nice and quiet boutique. Prompt cleaning of room. Well equipped and spacious room with large bed. Warm lightning. However breakfast is rather unhealthy. Bed is hard. Shower head not mean for tall people.
Stayed in their suite with jacuzzi. Room was spacious, only thing to note is that there were no windows and the room is beside the hotel staff's idk some kind of storage room. It gets a little noisy when ppl is taking stuff. However, as I am nursing my newborn and needed to pump, storage for breastmilk is a problem. The in-room mini fridge has a tiny freezer compartment that can accommodate about 4 pkts of 250ml. BUT the staffs were really nice, they would bring them up to their kitchen freezer on the 7th flr to keep them frozen till I checked out. 👍👍👍
The location is its definite advantage - this is just 5 mins from Asok BTS and Terminal 21 mall. That said, it is an unsheltered walk so carrying your luggage in the event of a downpour can be challenging (which was what happened to me). The hotel is relatively unknown as it is on some quiet side lane. No grand façade or big lobby either. But the staff are conversant in English and are generally friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a simple affair at their lobby - there are only 12 seats or so.. It costs 200 baht per pax for a decent variety of eggs, toast, cereal, fried rice and fruits etc. The BKK malls and most eateries open at 10am or later so this is a good way to fill your stomach if you are an early riser. To access this hotel you can take the Airport Rail Link to Phaya Thai, change to the Phaya Thai BTS, and alight at Asok station. It is a good base to explore BKK as it is in the centre of Sukhumvit and has direct transfer to the MRT.
I have stayed a few times at The Key and I am always impressed by the service and professionalism of the staff. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space in the rooms. I stayed at the executive suite and had a great sitting area with a small kitchen and an extra tv.
Mediocrity in bold. Breakfast (paid) is at best not revolting. Location is their only saving grace. It's quite conveniently located to both the BTS and MRT stations. They've got real friendly staff et al.. but nothing else to shout about to be honest. I'd not recommend to anyone I send xmas cards to. Toilet facilities is atrocious.
1) Staff alright. considered good 2)Location : good 3) Hotel : not worth the $, poor water system, not twin bed. Did not inform me earlier despite my booking was 2 months ago. You could have better value at other areas
Bangkok as usual at this time of the year is hot hot hot for May onwards Arrived hotel almost 12.00pm but was told to sit around till 1.00pm for our room After checking in went up to our given room. As feeling hot decided to take a shower before venturing out. On turning on the shower felt the hot water gashing out. Took a look and found the tap was on the right direction for cold water. Went down to reception to ask about this issue. Reply I got was the water tank is on the roof TOP hence with Bangkok weather. They can't do anything about it. In another words if you want Cold water to shower you got to do it after Sun set. Communication, not too good either. Was told breakfast will be served at 7.00am. Got a flight to catch gone down at 7.00am for breakfast told breakfast starts at 7.15am. Breakfast spread was reasonably decent. There no face towels in the bathroom apart from the standard 2 towels found in my "Executive" room that I booked. The pros for this hotel would be its location (the intersection of Asoke/Sukhumvit)
The hotel's lobby is quite small and low ceiling. Breakfast area is right beside the lobby and was very full on certain times in the morning (around 8am). The hotel has 1 elevator that travels quite slowly but also smooth because i hardly felt it when it reached the floors you arrive to. The room i got was the 1 bedroom suite type. Airconditioning was cold and strong. The beds were firm but the pillows were too soft. The tv has regular channels and a separate cable box with more international channels. The suite has a small dining table and a bigger refrigerator than a normal room's, with plates, utensils, and a separate kitchen sink. The room used laminated flooring and the wear and tear shows with the path that most people walk on were creaking and sagging. The bathroom was a big letdown. It was quite small and narrow. The bathtub position allows the water from the shower to leak out and the bathroom floor was always wet because of this. Because of the narrow position, you need to sit on an slightly angled manner when sitting on the toilet. Another bigger issue is that even if the window's view is towards the parking building next door, one can hear a big motor that switches on and off, and any other outside noise. Their curtains in the bedroom were also not well placed and allows a lot of outside light into the room. Location is very good. I had a problem at check out when they wanted to charge me for something i already prepaid. They did verify and was settled but it should have been seen at check in.
