Staying in this hotel since yesterday until coming Sat. Free upgrade to bigger room. Room is spacious, clean and nice king bed. Try buffet dinner at Grand Cafe, unfortunately after that, stomach pain whole night until now, suspect food cleanliness / freshness.
Hotel located very near to the international airport and the excess road leading to the Nakorn Patong industrial area is way nearer if you decided to stay at the main shopping district area down town.
My main purpose to Bangkok was for the Coldplay concert. So, the reason I picked this hotel is mainly for its location that near Rajamangala National Stadium, where the concert was held. It was indeed a very nice hotel. Two days upon my arrival, I requested for a airport pickup service. It costs THB 500 per way. The process was easy, quick, and they came on time. The room was super nice. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bathroom was nice, too. The served you with basic/standard amenities. The staff were helpful and polite. The location was quite far from the city so the only possible and safest way to transport is by taxi. The staff was helpful and polite. They helped explaining my destination to the taxi driver and gave clear information about directions and interesting places. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at The Grand Fourwings Convention Hotel Bangkok :)
Nothing majorly bad. Good WiFi. Family mart next door. Polite staff and a lot of them. Not much within walking distance. Breakfast was good. Bed Comfy. I'd stay again for business. Big group of Chinese tourist. Hope to have time to try the pool next time.
Very comfortable and friendly hotel! Very helpful for everything! Would highly recommend the breakfast it was plentiful and delicious! They even gave me a take away box the morning I left very early!!
We returned to Bangkok after 9 months to take care of some appointments & chose to stay here for 2 days. Beautiful hotel, new lounge in the basement & great rooms. The breakfast buffet has changed considerably to reflect the new client base so not nearly as western. Location is good & service continues to reflect the upper standing. Our only issue was the temperature regulation of the shower on the 29th floor. During the 2 days it became a bit like roulette, never knowing when it would be scalding hot or cold. Management was nformed but was unable to correct the problem during our stay which is unfortunate. Likely to be a deal breaker for us. Other than this important requirement it is a very fine hotel. There are many of these in Bangkok.
Not a single power point at next to bedside believe it ??? Ask for 2 adaptor plus replacement of the faulty tv remote control, came separately one by one in 3 .. Room service attendance insisted the tv remote is working, then she kept quiet and got it replace after trying on it herself. Room service attendance knock on the door repeatedly when the "Do Not Disturb" switch is clearly on AND they decided to CALL to our room and forces us to have no choice but to pick up the phone as it kept ringing !!!!!!!!!!!! The best part of it ? Stayed on the 27th floor with Very very good quality mattresses and clean odourless room.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon and I have to say that the friendly staff made our first experience in Bangkok a very memorable and enjoyable one. The rooms were very spacious, the food was excellent, the room service was a real bargain - not to mention 24 hours, and that pool.....!! But best of all is that I have not seen a more friendly staff in any other hotel that I have stayed in. The cleanliness was above and beyond because whenever the staff had downtime, they were always cleaning. You never saw staff sitting around doing nothing. I want to especially highlight the service of the Concierge manager David. He really took our experience to another level. When we got to this hotel, we didn't know anything about Thailand. He really educated us on many sights and attractions, and set up many tours for us and arranged the transportation. He gave us all of the information that we needed to know ahead of time such as what to pay for and how much it would cost. He informed us of scams that we needed to watch out for and was the most down to earth and personable manager I have ever had the pleasure of working with. (Photos of the pool and myself with the concierge manager are attached) As mentioned, this hotel is not the closest to the downtown Bangkok area but that's not really a negative in this case because with many of Bangkok's attractions such as the floating markets, and the Thai Village (Rose Garden) you probably would rather not want to be downtown since Bangkok's traffic is horrendous. And those attractions are outside of the city anyway. Also, the location of this hotel made it nice and quiet and a wonderful experience for couples. If you want a nice Thailand experience for first timer's, this is the place they need to stay. I would recommend any family stay here and in fact my wife's family is going in the summertime to experience Thailand and I have highly recommended that they stay here.
A fantastic hotel to stay in, great service, great apperance, not far from the airport but quite some distance to central Bangkok. The rooms are really great, well functioning wifi, and in general very good logistic. breakfast is good, as is the service offering value also quite ok, only let down is the location which is quite far from anything I would use again anytime
Fantastic property with a delightful staff who are pleasant, polite and professional. Room was spacious and well appointed. The hallway, of all things, was incredibly wide and gave an airy sensation. Breakfast was bountiful with a wide selection of everything imaginable. Airport shuttle was incredibly efficient and is included in the room price. Only downside to the property is the location relative to any kind of shopping, sightseeing....that will require a ride to get to.
