Not the first time in Bangkok but first time to take a solo trip. 😂 Since I'm traveling alone, my first criteria for hotel is decent, also the best location but of course not too expensive. First I was hesitant to book this hotel because of the different reviews and reactions from tourists, but I took the opportunity since Agoda.com has a good offer. I arrived early, around 10am. When I enter the hotel the receptionist already greeted me. And I ask him whether there is an available room for me. But since the normal check in is, I think 1 or 2 in the afternoon he told me that he's going to check whether one room is clean and I can take that one. While he's on his desk checking rooms, I told him that I'm alone and preferred a room with window and not too dark. He informed me that some rooms don't have window and he will try his best to look for me since I just booked a standard room. I really appreciate his effort. And luckily I got what i wanted. 😊. He gave me the room card and told me that the wifi connection is a bit slow especially if all rooms are occupied. He gave me room 605. Room 605 is 👌 first getting hard time on using the key card. So the receptionist gave me the master card so I'm able to open it (after several atempt :P). Have a huge window as i requested but the view is a wall of the other building. Also the wifi is very low. But when I told the receptionist he manage to link my room or i think he open a new connection so that my room can connect anytime without any interruption from other users. Toilet is clean with tooth brush, soap, shampoo provided but take note they don't have toothpaste so make sure you buy your own. Bed is comfy. Have alcohol drinks you can choose and mini fridge that u can store food. Have cabinet, A safe box and Tv with local channels. Electric kettle and hair dryer is also available inside the room. But take note no hotel Slippers so bring your own. Breakfast you can ask for room service or have it on dine. Not so many choices for breakfast. But one thing I'm impressed was the food that they served on the bar also you can request for room service but with service charge. A bit pricey but taste awesome. Specially the vanilla ice cream with blueberry pie!!!! 😍 Location is 100% fantastic!!! 5 to 7 min walk to asok and sukhumvit train station. 7/11 nearby. Also very near to terminal 21 mall. Robinson, and McDonald's. Minimart on the other side of the street and soi cowboy. Massage and spa parlor are on the other street. Very accessible. So i recommend this hotel for not so fancy Travellers. Tuktuk everywhere, taxi and motor ride. Design of the hotel for me is a very creative and edgy. Unique style. Summary Location : 10 Customer service : 8 Food : breakfast 7 Room service dinner 10 Room : 8
I had a very pleasant stay at Fusion Suites. I was there for 7 days. The room was good, although it didn't have any windows. If you need to be on time for a place, set your alarm. The room had a safe, bathroom was very good, water provided daily and the room also had a dvd player. Good wifi reception and even the tv had good reception. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate, you had a choice of a few meal options. The staff were great, especially Alex, nice bloke to talk to. The place has a bar out the front called Ruby Blues, I think. They played nice tunes from different era's. The place is located in a good position. You have Terminal 21 shopping centre as well as access to both the MRT and BTS rail services. I would definitely recommend staying here and I would stay here again.
This was about the third time that I stayed here at the Fusion Suites. It's a nice little place and in a great location. Wifi was a bit spotty. My first review of the Fusion Suites displayed my absolute pleasure in this place and this was about three years ago. I stayed here again two years ago and my experience was similar to the first. My third time (this review) left me not satisfied as I felt that the staff and overall hotel was beginning to slip in quality and value. Wifi was very spotty if it worked at all for me. The rooms now seem to be showing their use and abuse. It was obvious (in my room at least) that the hotel has not been keeping up with maintaining that "new" look it once had, especially in the bathroom. If I was in a pinch I would return, however with so many options in the area, I find myself looking at other places. In saying all of this, it's still a nice place and still great value.
Had stayed in this hotel for several times and decided to write a review for my recent stay. Its located near to Terminal 21 (8mins walk) and is directly opposite of Health Land Spa (Asoke). Breakfast is decent and beer is cheap at the Lounge.
The room is very cozy, clean and nicely decorated. Location was pretty alright, opposite Healthland, 5 min. walking distance to the Asoke BTS station and Sukhumvit MRT station, Terminal21. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Let me get over with the mystery first. I couldn't for the life of me understand why a really nice hotel would have the windows of their rooms blocked by huge panels shutting off the view and all daylight. It's not as if they over look a landfill or a graveyard or something; in fact the location is one of the prime attractions of this property––5 min walk from Asok BTS, and Sukhumvit MRT. Of course, they have rooms with windows that offer a view, but priced at a premium. Now, why would anybody seal off the windows is a mystery. This makes the rooms dark and dingy, which meant putting on all the lights all the time, wasting power. And the disappointment is that it is not mentioned as a 'no window' room, which technically it's not. Confusing. Now, having got that out of the way, in all other aspects, this is a great find. Well appointed rooms, good aircon, mini bar, fluffy towels; artistically designed hotel far different from the usual decor and furniture cliches, well meaning and helpful staff, a nice bar and restaurant at the front in a quiet, lazy lane. It's all good. Will I stay here again? Here's the thing. I would in the rooms with working windows. But then, I would have to compare that pricing with other hotels where windows come as part of standard equipment. How fair is it to make a bed deliberately hard and sell soft beds at a premium? There're certain basic needs in a room a guest looks for. My 'very good' rating does not take into account the room I stayed in, which for the reason mentioned above, rates below average.
A great place to stay and very different decor to the average "run of the mill" hotel. Very pleasant staff, great rooms and inclusions with the electric screen that operates to close off the bathroom from the bedroom; the furnishings to the outside bar and cafe Ruby (even though it is not part of the hotel the staff there do a great friendly job as well) I would recommend a stay at this hotel.
Fusion Suites Bangkok is very comfortable and in a great location. It's small, perhaps 7 stories with 4 - 6 rooms per floor. The staff is small, but friendly. The breakfast is free and good. Bacon, eggs, toast, slices of local vegetables and fruit. It's proximity to Soi Cowboy in Sumhumvit maybe attraction to some as well, being an easy 6 - 8 minute walk. it's also equally to convenient to the sky train and rail system. The rooms are large, with several. I e chairs or sofa arraigned in a sitting area. There is nicely stocked minibar of drinks, alcohol and snacks. All priced at what would be bargain us prices. Unique features like under bed lighting and an full soaking tub bathroom add to the over-all appeal of the room. Factoring it together. This is a great, well-priced hotel for any traveler, and I enjoyed it more than many more costly rooms. If you liked the review see photos on my Facebook page. Man Traveling!
There's a lounge vibe to this joint, and it's a little overdone in my view. It may have just been my room, but it felt dark and claustrophobic. The shower had mold, the shower head didn't work well either, and the one tiny light bulb over the sink made it hard to get a good shave. The beds headboard had scratches that couldn't have been anything but high heels swinging back and forth. The pillows were well worn and flat. This place is a pass unless your just looking for a dim room to swing a pair of high heels.
The was once a charming hotel, however, the property now looks rundown, Room was large and spacious and the bathroom has a large lovely shower. Noisy location: room windows covered by building advertizment so there was no view and no sunlight. Simple breakfast served (greasy eggs!) lousy instant coffee and a waitress that seems perturbed doing her job. Overall unpleasant dinning experience.
