The Fusion Suites

Had stayed in this hotel for several times and decided to write a review for my recent stay. Its located near to Terminal 21 (8mins walk) and is directly opposite of Health Land Spa (Asoke). Breakfast is decent and beer is cheap at the Lounge.

The room is very cozy, clean and nicely decorated. Location was pretty alright, opposite Healthland, 5 min. walking distance to the Asoke BTS station and Sukhumvit MRT station, Terminal21. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Let me get over with the mystery first. I couldn't for the life of me understand why a really nice hotel would have the windows of their rooms blocked by huge panels shutting off the view and all daylight. It's not as if they over look a landfill or a graveyard or something; in fact the location is one of the prime attractions of this property––5 min walk from Asok BTS, and Sukhumvit MRT. Of course, they have rooms with windows that offer a view, but priced at a premium. Now, why would anybody seal off the windows is a mystery. This makes the rooms dark and dingy, which meant putting on all the lights all the time, wasting power. And the disappointment is that it is not mentioned as a 'no window' room, which technically it's not. Confusing. Now, having got that out of the way, in all other aspects, this is a great find. Well appointed rooms, good aircon, mini bar, fluffy towels; artistically designed hotel far different from the usual decor and furniture cliches, well meaning and helpful staff, a nice bar and restaurant at the front in a quiet, lazy lane. It's all good. Will I stay here again? Here's the thing. I would in the rooms with working windows. But then, I would have to compare that pricing with other hotels where windows come as part of standard equipment. How fair is it to make a bed deliberately hard and sell soft beds at a premium? There're certain basic needs in a room a guest looks for. My 'very good' rating does not take into account the room I stayed in, which for the reason mentioned above, rates below average.

A great place to stay and very different decor to the average "run of the mill" hotel. Very pleasant staff, great rooms and inclusions with the electric screen that operates to close off the bathroom from the bedroom; the furnishings to the outside bar and cafe Ruby (even though it is not part of the hotel the staff there do a great friendly job as well) I would recommend a stay at this hotel.

Fusion Suites Bangkok is very comfortable and in a great location. It's small, perhaps 7 stories with 4 - 6 rooms per floor. The staff is small, but friendly. The breakfast is free and good. Bacon, eggs, toast, slices of local vegetables and fruit. It's proximity to Soi Cowboy in Sumhumvit maybe attraction to some as well, being an easy 6 - 8 minute walk. it's also equally to convenient to the sky train and rail system. The rooms are large, with several. I e chairs or sofa arraigned in a sitting area. There is nicely stocked minibar of drinks, alcohol and snacks. All priced at what would be bargain us prices. Unique features like under bed lighting and an full soaking tub bathroom add to the over-all appeal of the room. Factoring it together. This is a great, well-priced hotel for any traveler, and I enjoyed it more than many more costly rooms. If you liked the review see photos on my Facebook page. Man Traveling!

There's a lounge vibe to this joint, and it's a little overdone in my view. It may have just been my room, but it felt dark and claustrophobic. The shower had mold, the shower head didn't work well either, and the one tiny light bulb over the sink made it hard to get a good shave. The beds headboard had scratches that couldn't have been anything but high heels swinging back and forth. The pillows were well worn and flat. This place is a pass unless your just looking for a dim room to swing a pair of high heels.

The was once a charming hotel, however, the property now looks rundown, Room was large and spacious and the bathroom has a large lovely shower. Noisy location: room windows covered by building advertizment so there was no view and no sunlight. Simple breakfast served (greasy eggs!) lousy instant coffee and a waitress that seems perturbed doing her job. Overall unpleasant dinning experience.

A bit run down, but charming and affordable nearby Asoke. Been there at the beginning, things are getting older but still nice choice for the price. Walking distance to T21, Suk BTS or Asoke. Recommended if no windows is ok with you. Quite big rooms.

Due to the location I had stayed here on 2 occasions for short work trips. If I were holidaying I cannot say that I would choose to stay here at all. Upsides: Good Location Funky layout and decorations Efficient, Very Friendly and helpful staff Very affordable Downsides: Noise - traffic noise late at night and early morning from the main road about 40 metres from the front door Noise - from the downstairs outdoor bar till around midnight Noise - Pigeons roosting just outside the windows in the morning Mosquitos - the hotel is next to an open storm water drain and they come out at night and if you are unlucky like I was they get into the rooms when guests leave the fire escape open Water Pressure - the shower/bath water pressure comes and goes around every 20 seconds and cycles between strong and weak flows Smoke - smokers are asked to congregate at the front door and only entrance to the hotel Wifi - terrible signal in the rooms, comes and goes, need to stay near room door or stay in corridor for good wifi reception

This is a gem of a hotel in Bangkok. It's location is fantastic to get around the city. Only 5 minutes walk away for Asok BTS station in sukhumvit. Near to all the bars, restaurants and shops. But set back so it's not in your face and noisy. The Owner is an English Guy. Always around and has a cracking sence of humour. The hotel is very trendy with stylish Deco. The rooms are also very good, big and clean. It's only got about 40-45 rooms I think so it's not one of these monster hotels where you spend 10 minutes getting to your room. I've stayed in Bangkok many times and this hotel for its cracking price is easily the best. Hopefully I will still be able to get a room here in future after raving about it so much...lol!
