1. We held our meeting for 40 pax in this hotel, and had more than 70 people from the US, Latin America, Europe, China, South Asia, Southeast Asia staying in the hotel 2. Conference Rooms Level 3 has totally been renovated, very well renovated for a 4 star hotel, it feels like a 5 star setting 3. Extremely courteous & helpful staff, especially the assistant manager Ms Sasithorn Ann, who speaks very good english. Do note not all hotel staff can speak or understand english 4. Half of the rooms are renovated. I stayed in a renovated room - very clean and still well maintained. I like the wood floorings as i find hotel laid with carpets less hygenic. Do note you need to request for ironing board, iron & hot water kettle, not provided by default 5. Good spread for breakfast, but geared towards the thai & japanese palate. western selection isnt great 6. Good spread for lunch as well 7. Location is quite central, but about 15 min walk to BTS or to the supermarket. There are restaurants nearby within walking distance, but not much shopping for the ladies 8. Its a suitable hotel for business travel. I believe the hotel mgmt will be revamping the hotel to become more modern, so visitors can expect a better experience.
I had the pleasure of staying here for one week. The moment you entered the hotel you knew the service was going to be good. The courteous welcome from everyone from the hotel door staff to the check in desk was outstanding. This proved to be the standard for the remainder of the week, whether you were asking questions at the concierge desk, to eating in the main dining area or the terrace bar. The room was spacious (I was on the "business" floor 27) and very quiet. It was reasonably well maintained during my stay, but sometimes not made up until after 17:00 (5.00pm). No idea why. The room comes with free wifi, but the signal was not great. There is also tea/coffee facilities, but the room service did not always replace my tea. The breakfast was OK. Not great for western tastes. There was a lack of quality cooked choice for western breakfast. On the other hand, the Thai breakfast selection was extensive (I guess that is not a surprise). There was plenty fruit available too. We tended to eat at the terrace bar most evenings. It was quiet and had a pretty good menu for evening meals. The service was outstanding! The hotel runs an hourly shuttle to/from the airport (it takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on traffic). At the airport you need to find "door 5" and there you will find many representatives from travel companies and hotels, including the Four Wings. This door is found when you exit from the customs/immigration hall into the main landside part of the terminal. It can be a little chaotic there. You are best to advise the hotel in advance that you will be requiring the shuttle to ensure there is a space for you. Else, you take a taxi (costing around 300THB). This is where the problem lies.....we found many taxis did not know the hotel and, even with the supplied map from the hotel (in English and local language), the taxis were not sure of where to go. We had the taxi problem several times at the airport and also from downtown Bangkok. (To get a taxi you must take a ticket then go to the allocated taxi number).The hotel seems to be in an isolated area, certainly from a visitors point of view. We had one downtown taxi just drive away from us because he did not know the hotel. So be careful. A taxi ride to/from downtown Bangkok takes around 45 minutes and costs around 400 - 500 THB with tip. The hotel shuttle takes clients to/from some of the local shopping malls at certain times of the day (signposted in the main entrance near the concierge). The hotel has a pool deck and small gym with the usual running and cycling machines. There is also a small café there for snacks. All-in-all, the stay was very comfortable but I was fed up with the travelling by taxi etc.
It would be impossible for you not to like something in the buffet, it was huge with so many options. The rooms are nice but quite a lot of mould in the bathroom. Pool area fantastic views with an adult & kids pool.
The hotel is well placed very close to bangkok city the service i have found it to be second to none when it comes to this the people are very nice and treat you with respect unlike some other hotels My brother in law stayed there on his visit to the hotel and raved about it and even told a hotel in Singapore to send their staff there to see just how to treat there customers excellent hotel for the price
An excellent hotel . Ideal for a stopover arriving or leaving from airport . Hotel provides courtesy airport transfers every hour . Rooms and property are clean and well appointed with all amenities . Pool area and F & B choices available . Also provide shuttle buses to shopping mall as nothing around the immediate area. Staff friendly and service good.
I had a one night stay here while on business in Bangkok - it had been arranged by the client and so I was concerned because I had not made the booking, had no idea about the property and thought the name was a bit unusual. I could not have been more pleasantly surprised - walking in, was met with a warm greeting and very efficient check in staff who completely understood the billing arrangements for the room. Was provided with a room on the Executive Floor (more on that in a moment) and the room was very large, spacious, clean and well appointed with a huge king bed that was very comfortable and provided for a good nights sleep. The bathroom was also large and included a huge bathtub which provided relaxation after a hectic day. I did pop into the Executive Lounge and it was very strange -- only a few crackers and candies and an old coffee machine and a hostess who seemed 100% disinterested in anyone being there - I quickly retreated to the comfort of my room! Breakfast was a nice assortment of Asian and non Asian items in a large restaurant overlooking the equally large lobby. Not one complaint about this property and I would consider using it again if I have business in Bangkok OR before / after flights from BKK.
Old rooms, very dedicated to Japanese customers, cheap but not good, good laundry service, slow and instabil wifi, mainly Japanese styled breakfast, bad coffee, Limousine service, small outdoor Pool, gym has to be paid separately
The hotel is huge with convention hall and grand when its compare to other hotel in bangkok. The access card to the door always got problem and it is trouble to go up and down to the front counter to get it resolved. Shouldnt each floor locating a phone to convenience the customer to call to the front desk for help when door access card problem arise. It just too many times happen for this and really get annoying. The housekeeping staff also cannot speak good english. Really upset with the amenities. The hotel also always full with Chinese Tour from mainland China, thus, it is always crowded with people in lift as well as in restaurant. If i am given choice again, i will not return here, there are plenty good hotels around in Bangkok.
Very nice business hotel nearby metro station . Indian restaurants are also available within 5 minutes walk. Seven eleven store and Visa ATM is in front of hotel. Good place to stay. Shopping malls are also near by. It has very good swimming pool.
I was booked via expedia due to price!!!! up on arrival! need to take a shower. The water was brown, and could not use the shower. I have to call to fix. and wait with wet clothes 30 minutes in the room. Finally engineering team come to check and said" can't fix" need to change the room. It was unpleasant at all. report to Front desk and facebook. Nobody care and follow up. So I wont' back to stay there again. They lost revenue in returning guests. poor hotel
