The Ecotel Bangkok3.0 out of 5.0

Inspite full advance payments arrangements were improper, had to wait from morning till night living the luggage in corridor, the rude egoistic manager was showing her all mights and challenging to leave and go anywhere to the guests of the hotel. Found a Sri-lankan lady also at the dining room denied of proper breakfast.
To reach there, you will have to go through small narrow roads, that are very busy at peak hours. After a long period of time waiting for the congestion to ease, I arrived at the address. I was looking for something bright, maybe a signboard or sort. Ecotel was tucked in a corner and was a little hard to identify in the night. The staff were pretty friendly and I was able to check in swiftly. I stayed at the top floor. At that particular night, there was a school that was staying there. It gets a little rowdy when people pass by my room and talked loudly. Beds were comfy, toilets were equipped, but the toilet in my room had a leak, so it was pretty slippery. Television can be found in the room, and there is a variety of shows to watch, though not all of them are English. If you're thinking that the television is not entertaining enough and want to use something like YouTube or Netflix to watch something else, forget it! The WiFi was terribly slow, and it took quite a while to load websites such as Google. Well, it could be because of the school that stayed that day as it was roughly about 30 people, and all of them could be seen using computers and phones. Pratunam Market was nearby, and 7-11s can be found extremely near the hotel. Supermarkets are also near the vicinity via a short walk. The hotel provided buffet meals too, but the range of food is almost the same everyday.
Good hospitality, free WiFi available, also it's very nearby to the market and 7eleven is nearby too. Rooms and bathroom are good. Also, good place for travellers to stay. No swimming pool here. Good Indian restaurant available nearby. Indra market at walking distance.
this is the hotel we went thru agent and it was already paid so i did'nt have the option of shifting, but horrible place to stay you are locked in the room as if there is no view, the hotel, room, corridors seems to be so shabby, they dont even have tea bags in the room, not worth for the room but location is nearby indra market, palladium mall, platinum mall, but there are many hotels nearby with better price and good rooms. again vegetarian is not available although they serve majority indians customers but surprisingly there is not much vegetarian option other than fruits and cornflakes, even bread has eggs so be sure to ask before taking. poor wifi facilities.
The room has a terrible musky smell and there are baby roaches crawling in our rooms every night. We have to spray insecticide and air freshener everyday. Despite that, the counter staff refused to change our room. As for the shower room, the shower head cannot be adjusted and it can only spray water towards the direction of the wall and I literally need to stick myself to the wall to get showered. Aside from this, they stopped providing face towels after the first day. Also, they did not replace the light at the dressing table even when I feedback that it is not working. The wifi is slow and unstable. Lsstly, as for the breakfast, the coffee is cold and the milk is sour. I understand that this may be a budget hotel but the bare minimum quality of food provided should not be compromised. I really wish I could put less stars for the grading but two seems the minimum that I can go. I believe that one can definitely look for a better hotel with the same amount of money spent.
Good location good breakfast not a visitor friendly reception Booked 3 superior room room size small bathroom too small room had teamaker cups etc but no tea bag or coffee pouch advice for visitor to carry tea bags but taxi service was excellent thanks to Mr Pichit who was outstandins in his behaviour and service visitors can contact him for excellent service
The hotel is average though the location is good. Rooms were good but really tiny. No balconies and a bad view from the tiny window. Bathrooms are really small. The staff is not very co-operative with the customers and behaved a bit rudely while we were having breakfast in their cafeteria. The food was also average and the cafeteria was pretty crowded. I would definitely try a better place next time and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Other customers staying at the hotel were too noisy and the rooms were too close to each other.
I stayed here on my second visit to Thailand, this time with my family, the hotel is generally nice and neat.. Breakfast buffet is great! the only problem is this hotel is a bit hidden and off the main streets, but its a 10 min walk to Pratunam thats what I love about this place..
First and foremost, their customer service is impeccable. Anything we needed, they are accommodated right away. Taxi driver may have a hard time finding it, but it is next to Ramada Hotel. :) We are technically there to shower and sleep. Otherwise, there are temples to visit and shops to do!!! Note: taxi ride from airport to hotel is 600 baht. Tuk-tuk ride is 50-150 baht within Bangkok. Taxi ride is 200-250 baht. Learn to haggle.!! Just say NO on first offer and walk away. They will counter with lower offer. Haggle before getting on the taxi/tuk-tuk.
There were 2 female receptionists - one of the was quite rude - as they asked for our passports and didnt returned ALL - missed out. the receptionist kept saying "dont have dont have" when we asked for it. Luckily the other one is nicer and checked the copier. The WiFi was terrible and it is not existence even though the router was outside my room. Called the reception to ask - only to have a very rude male receptionist kept saying no WiFi - without any explanations and was in a hurry to hang up the phone. The hotel didnt not provide toothbrush and toothpaste! THe room was clean but the aircon was very old - it took forever for the room to get cool. they dont provide kettle hence there were not teas/coffees available. The morning breakfasts were terrible as there were hardly any choices and lack of fruits - imagine you are in Thailand and you expects lots of nice fruits! Was there for 3 night and 3 days - so the breakfasts were pretty much the same everyday.
