Selected room 306 this time round as my previous room 309 was not available. Step into the room, first impression was still cozy as before. But observe that the toilet washing basin got a few small bugs, where I wash it away with water. Also, there's a x2 water fly that I saw in the room, could be due to the fact the housekeeping open the window, during housekeeping. The room was facing an abandoned open space. The reception is as friendly as before and the bed is still as comfortable. Still a wonderful stay as before. Keep up the good work Dawin.
A fantastic place to stay. Pleasant and polite staff, clean, tidy and stylishly furnished rooms. Safe, secure and quiet in the midst of a busy area. Awesome small roof top pool to relax at. Fantastic food. Its a pleasure everytime to stay at The Dawin. Thanks
Perfect accommodation for anyone looking to be right in the action for a few days of heavy drinking. Central nana plaza but at the end of the main strip so nice and quite when your ready for a kip. Great rooms, small but very usable and very well kept furniture. Still feels new. No issue with bringing friends over and no extra charge if you have someone stay over
We stayed here for 2 nights and found it to be excellent value for money. Very centrally located on the edge of the red light district it was great for people watching. Very clean and spacious rooms and bathroom. Staff very helpful. Good quality breakfast. Small but adequate pool area. Would definitely stay again.
hotel is in a great location short distance to transport staff very helpful food is exceptional at a great price the rooms are large with a mini bar and tea and coffee the hotel is close to nana plaza so the street is very busy would definitely return to this hotel
The hotel is in a good location with just a short walk to the BTS station, which will get you most places you want to go, especially for shopping. The room we had was a good size and really comfortable - we had really good sleeps, but it is a little austere. We didn't have a great experience at check-in, but from then on the staff were lovely and friendly, and we're sorry we didn't get his name, but our waiter on most days we were there was amazing - he always remembered what we wanted to drink when we crashed at the front table after a hot day out. The food at the restaurant is really good - the breakfasts are amazing, and we ate there for a couple of lunches and dinners and nothing disappointed. As others have noted - this is in the 'red light' district, so at night it's pretty in your face, and there's a brothrel right across the street, so if you have kids, take note. But during the day, a nice area with street vendors along the road. The pool is small, but what a view from up there, especially after dark! Only downside - no lights and it closes early at 7 pm. Overall we would stay here again.
Small pool but it's on the roof so it's a "quiet" place. Good to sit and relax and read my book here. There are some noice from the road and nearby construction sites. Reasonable sized rooms with all the facilities needed. The mini bar could have been bigger. The TV had western and European channels. The bed was comfortable with quality linen and the curtains really block out the sunshine. The location is in the Nana's "entertainment" street and there are lots if prostitutes in the street at evening and night so it's not a suitable place for families. The street is very busy at evenings and night with food sale from small wagons and massage parlours who promise more than a massage. The many bars in the street play very load music. There is also many good restaurants in this street. The hotel staff is polite and helpful and I enjoyed the breakfast in the lobby. Location is not so far from BTS Nana station and there is a 7/11 in the next building.
Super Stay, Highly Recommend, great staff Mint (surf girl :) ) on reception so very helpful And Jowi waiter so helpful. always ready to help great location for nana plaza and nana station. & soi cowboy 30 min walk or one stop on sky rail. Termial 21 great shopping ...., hotel food very good, will definitely stay again soon.
We booked a room at the Dawin not knowing much about it or about its location, but it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Having just arrived from the US, we were jetlagged and spent quite a bit of time at the hotel, and it was perfect for what we needed. We utilized their airport shuttle, which is a bit more expensive than a taxi but felt more trustworthy as we were visiting Thailand for the first time and didn't yet know the cab system. Our driver was waiting for us upon our arrival and was very friendly. Check-in was a breeze; the folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful throughout our visit. Once we'd settled in, we had lunch at the onsite restaurant and found it delicious. We ended up eating there a few more times, for both breakfast and lunch, before checking out a few days later; each meal was delightful (although service tended to be a bit slow). The room was clean and well-kept. Nothing overly fancy, but just right for our needs. The bed was comfortable and clean, and the air conditioning was really nice to have. Although the room faced a bar across the street, it was fairly quiet in our room at night. The pool was our favorite part; both days we spent time on the rooftop pool, we were the only guests there! It was the perfect temperature - cool enough to be refreshing but warm enough to feel comfortable - and it was a secluded little paradise in the city. Again, this place isn't especially swanky - but it's really comfortable, has good food, and has friendly staff. It's a great deal for the price & I would absolutely stay here again!
The Dawin Stayed for 9 nights. Arrived and the bellboy was to slow in helping us with luggage. No welcoming. At the front desk, the lady seemed a bit stressed and unpersonal. Didn't quite feel the welcoming there either. Luggage was to slow to our rooms, seems like this hotel is on a slow modus sometimes The rooms Superior are pretty nice , very clean and big enough. Great 42" tv with many channels. And I think its the first hotel I have been to were channels are stable without any "snow" or disturbance. Also there is a extra HDMI cable if you need to connect devices to the tv. Beds are very good and soft, so are the pillows. Our room facing the street on 2 nd floor, there was some noise but didn't take our beauty sleep away. Not really a big issue. Seems good isolated. Rooms are bright, but I didn't quite figure out all the light settings... Shower has fair enough pressure, and it is separated from the bathtub. To be frank the bathtub is one of the smallest I have seen. Not European size... Restaurant: Food is ok, service is slow and the staff seems to misunderstand/forget parts of the orders. When seated outside we had to go inside and ask for service a few times. They have service charge so we didn't tip of any large sums. Swimming pool area has a good view of the skyline and streets. Pool is good enough and so are the beds in the pool area. Downside is that you have to call service in order to get a towel. If you don't return them you will be charged 500 THB. Towel was old but clean. Security: After a a few hours in the pool I came down to my room, and my door was slightly open, and no housekeeping near by? I complained over the phone to front desk but they seem to don't understand the issue or wanted to apologize. I stayed in my room, and after an hour cleaning lady came to make up the room. Morning after my wife complained to the front desk, but again they didn't even understand the issue in thai language either! This is a serious mistake leaving guest doors open while cleaning other rooms, and should NOT happen again. Just to mention I did read a similar complain about this hotel were someone managed to steal money from a room because the doors where opened by staff. Its pretty sad, because this hotel has a great potential but really need more training. I might give it a second chance but then I want to feel welcome. To mention, I did not know that this hotel has the same management as Dynasty Grande. I have a review of that hotel too, and not staying there again. From reading other reviews of the Dawin, I see they have done the same "mistakes" overcharging without saying anything beforehand. Just like Dynasty Grande did to us. Last but least, our checkout 5.30 AM went like a charm. The lady working at the frontdesk was polite and service minded. So, thank you for that! This gave me a second thought that I might stay with you again.
