The Cottage Suvarnabhumi

It is hard to find a hotel near Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport that offers shuttle service to/from the airport with affordable price. The Cottage Suvarnabhumi hotel meets such criteria but nothing else that impresses me beside friendly staffs. It smells horrible outside the hotel with lots of mosquito. I felt unsafe walking on the alley in front of the hotel at night. It took me about 30 min for the shuttle to pick me up from the airport. One must know where to find the waiting area in order to use the service. I had no problem going back to the airport, even leaving at 4 am. Although the hotel is located a bit far from the airport (10 min ride), its affordability offsets the inconvenience. The only reason I stay at the Cottage because I had to catch an international flight at 6:50am.

After arriving after midnight we found room very hot. Informed staff that AC was not cooling at 1 AMC. Was told it was OK. After a fitfully night of no sleep well found the the outside unit was not working. There are better hotels close to the Airport. This was our second and last stay at this hotel.

I hesitate to rate teh Cottage the 4 stars it deserves because it may become consistently full ; ) I have stayed there numerous times. The staff are well trained and competent. The facilities lack only access to an iron. Laundry is outsourced, The pool with waterfall is well maintained. The restaurant is good and complete. There is a budget minded local restaurants across the quiet street. Like being in a village, yet only 10 minutes from the airport. .

Great for long layover to rest and a nice mall close by.

The hotel is close to the airport but the supposed shuttle is hard to find. Once you need a ride back, the shuttle is only available in limited times. The rooms are fine: functional for one night's sleep. Bathrooms are pretty gnarly. Staff is hit or miss, though they were nice enough to hold our bags for a few hours while we went to get lunch.

Very nice, wake up call was right on time. Wonderful caring staffs!

Why the hotel has the trasfer service? I made a reservation 14th April as I arrived at the hotel late time. So I made a reservation with two way airport transfer and I sent email to the staff to check again. And I got the response from the staff. "Our staff will be welcoming you between arrival exits 3-4, on the 2nd floor in side the terminal building. You will find your name with flight detail and our hotel official logo on the paging board" But there was nobody there when I arrived at the airport. I used taxi to get there. The second thing is morning alarm. I asked to staff the alarm service and I wanted to use the transfer car to get the airport. The alarm service was later than I asked and I was late by 8 mins to get in the car. Nobody was there again because i was late by 8 mins. I do not want to write down anymore. I won't be there again. Good luck.

Stay was terrific, not my first time staying there. Close to BKK airport, and convenient for early morning flights. Wifi costs money and the pool has bean bags instead of chairs that are old and decrepit. Beautiful pool, so it's silly that they have these bean bags. Great hotel overall!!!

This was a very relaxed hotel, very clean and a very nice staff, I hope to stay again someday, the only complaint: hard to find. But not TOO hard to find.

It's a walk to local shopping, but somewhat convenient. Staff was helpful, airport shuttle good. Would stay there again.

The access was a bit difficult but the hotel was nice and cheap.

I've stayed here before and decided to come back 6 months later. Really clean little hotel with reliable airport shuttle service. Really great for the price.

You get what you pay for at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was a good size, but this was the most uncomfortable bed I slept in after 5 weeks throughout SE Asia. The airport shuttle isn't free, but at a mere 50 baht, I cannot complain. The breakfast buffet is expensive. I got a cheaper meal at the airport. All in all, a good budget hotel that I would stay at again.

Mine was only a layover, but it was pleasant and all went smoothly. Staff were very welcoming and efficient. Breakfast was not included, but consisted of a buffet, including pancakes and fruit as well as many oriental foods. Room was clean and modern, with all amenities, and computers were available in the lobby. About a 10- or 15-minute ride from the airport, it is located in a residential neighborhood.

nothing extraordinary nothing like pictures show but good to stay if you don't want to go into bangkok city center right away

This was as the perfect hotel for if you have a flight soon. It was nice and close to BKK.

The hotel itself was very nice! The area around was a little run down especially when coming in at 1230 at night! The room and AC worked great we didn't spend much time outside the room that night so not much else to review about the hotel

I am very happy I stayed by first night at the Cottage. They had a pick up from the airport and from what I can tell they run pick ups all night. The room was super clean and absolutely worth the price. But avoid buying water at the hotel! They overcharge (something like 60 baht) for a small bottle of water. I would say the breakfast too is a little overpriced.

We just needed a one-night spot before traveling onward. The breakfast buffet was great and considerably better than two other places that I stayed at on this road. Our TV did not work but we did not care. The breakfast was extra cost as well as transportation back to airport.

The Cottage is located in a quiet residential neighborhood near the Bangkok Airport - they offer a shuttle that picks you up at the airport, which is a great convenience when you arrive late at night as we did. You're whisked off to a small but pleasant room that offers a comfortable bed and hot shower - then you get a nice breakfast and a shuttle back to the airport. So for comfort and convenience when you have a brief overnight in Bangkok, it's ideal. I wouldn't recommend this if you're staying in Bangkok for any amount of time - it's too far from the city's main attractions. But it's an A+ choice and very affordable if you're just doing a quick overnight at the airport.
