I booked the hotel for 3 days. My plane was delayed so I flew in late. After traveling for 30 hours I finally took a taxi to the hotel. It was dark and the doors were closed. I rang the bell outside. Nobody came to answer the door. I opened the sliding door and stepped inside. A man woke up from sleeping on the floor and started screaming at me. I told him I had a reservation for 3 nights. He said they gave my room away to someone else. Check-in time was finished. He was extremely rude. I finally paid a taxi driver to take me to a hotel that had a room available for the next three days. I hope that my booking service gets the money back. In addition, the hotel was difficult to find and too far away from all the fun touristy things. I hope they get shut down.
Stay out of this place. We got a tiny, smelly, moldy room. And the we saw bed bugs in our bed. There was a nice girl in the reception that didn't know a single word in english and then arrived a man that was very rude and unpleasant. It was horrible, we noved out of that hostel in the middle of the night even though we booked it for 2 nights. Do yourself a favor and don't go there!
Small room but you get everything you needed in your room. No share toilet and locker. This is what I like. Price is reasonable. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Thank you for all your help. I will be back.
this is surely budget hostel, located close to city centre attraction like shopping, night life etc , yet quite and peaceful place to relax after long day of tours The staff of the hotel were helpful staff Best for students and backpackers .
We are into our 5th month travelling and this is the worst place we have stayed. The staff, without exception are rude, unhelpful, and unpleasant. The rooms are tiny and at 6ft 1" i had trouble reaching the only electric socket. The room needs decorating and whilst the bedding may have been washed it looked like it should be done again. My advice, just avoid the place.
This hostel is located away from the centre of Bangkok but is close to the river so you can easily grab a boat up the river to the main attractions. The wifi is good in this hostel. We stayed in a double private room and there was no space to walk in this room! The bed was just a mattress on the floor and we had to place our bags on the end of our mattress. The room was cleaned daily and there was AC.
The staff was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. The rooms are tiny, hardly enough space for 2 backpacks in the room besides the matrasses which are supposed to represent a bed. The whole room smelled because of the mould that spread over the as well tiny bathroom. The bathroom door did not close. The sink leaks. There is one electric plug in the room and that was on the sealing!! Who builds stuff like that??? Not worth the money at all!!! Really bad hostel. Do not book here!
We stayed in this hotel for one night. It is not very easy to find since you need to navigate through narrow streets to get there. The hotel has a cool decoration but the rooms are too tiny. We stayed in a double room which is hardly a single room. There was no window - it has a glass wall to the street but it doesn't open - so the only ventilation you have is A\C which becomes too strong for such a small room. Turn a/c off during the night and you wake up like a roasted chicken, too hot!(this was feb2017). The Mattresses(2single) were on the floor, no bed and there was barely space for our big bagpacks around the mattresses. Opposite to some comments, the staff was nice and helpful and speak English.
The Cilli 55/15 Soi Chareonkrung, 37 (Talid Noi) Chareonkrung Road, 10500, Bangkok. Basic small room hostel accommodation, room is literally the length of a single mattress (on the floor) with a 1m x 1m bathroom. I must admit I had two mattresses on the ground as I had booked the grand double room. Although the room was clean, I had problems from the start.... The electricity consumer unit (fuse box of old) kept tripping out, meaning there was a fault on the electrical supply. The staff kindly taped the trip into the on position, which quite frankly is dangerous and ignores the reason why such devices are fitted. I am no stranger to foreign travel, but I am a qualified fire and safety officer of some experience. When I brought this to the attention of the staff I was taken to another room, smaller but charged the same price. I would have to say the staff were not that helpful. I stayed one night, as I had no other accommodation available to me, but moved the next morning. The electrical fault and the premises location - you have to walk some distance down a convoluted alley from the main road, following signage, meaning difficulty in my opinion, for any fire and rescue service to get there in any emergency. My taxi driver was unable to find the place. I would avoid this place like the plague, until they can confirm a safety check on the electrical supply. You are better paying 10% extra for a safer place to stay. I know this post may seem a whinge, but I do have extensive experience in this area and foreign travel to austere places and only wish people to be safe and enjoy their travels.
I've been to 61 countries and counting, staying in a gazillion hostels in the process, and I've never met such rude, sour, miserable, obnoxious staff. Usually that's reserved for the cleaning lady - but it's the other way around here! We arrived late and found the night staff asleep, and then mumbled and grumbled when he had to do his job and check us in. But the girl who works the day shift really takes the biscuit. She's just nasty, dour faced woman who doesn't know how to smile. First time I've ever been charged money for toilet roll too. Honestly they've got no business being a hostel with service like this. The place is made for hobbits too - not enough room to swing a cat. The location is its saving grace, but I do not recommend this at all. Go somewhere else like the old town hostel over the road.
