Chilli Chilli BangBang! Such a warm welcoming from staff. Quiet location in the heart of Bangkoks easiest transportation system. Trains available going North to Chiang Mai, North East to famous Isan region of Thailand, and of course south heading towards the beautiful islands of Thailand. I recommend anyone who is simply commuting through bkk moving along to other parts of Thailand or South East Asia to experience a taste of what Chilli has to offer. At Chilli Bangkok, you'll find staff to be helpful and keep you moving in the right direction. Thank you Chilli! See you soon again)
I rented a private room for a few nights after finishing a 6 week long tour of Indochina, to have a few days to reorganise myself. The room was small but did the job and it was helpful to have an en-suite bathroom. The view from my room was simply of a wall as the adjacent building has been built so close but I could see fork the outside that other rooms had a much better view. The whole hostel was clean and welcoming and the staff were very friendly. There was one lady in particular who was often downstairs and couldn’t do enough to help me. Everyone I encountered could speak some English and I got by just fine between that and my Thai language book. I’m not quite sure why some people here believe there should be someone who can speak perfect English at every stop.. we’re in Thailand! Learn some Thai! Location wise it was a few miles from the centre but very near one of be major train stations (10 minute walk). A pier with a whole host of upmarket restaurants and boat access was also only 5 minutes away. Communal area was small and quiet so maybe not as suited to travellers looking to socialise. Did the job well. I would recommend.
No airport transfer or bike hire as advertised. Private room was small as we expected, but stunk of mould and there was no ventilation whatsoever. I slept with my pollution mask on and ear plugs because the air conditioner was squeeling all night. Blood stains on sheets and pillow case to top it all off. We feel as though theyve spent a lot on the exterior to make it look lovely but room was one of the worst we've had in 3 months. Consider elsewhere.
I booked the hotel for 3 days. My plane was delayed so I flew in late. After traveling for 30 hours I finally took a taxi to the hotel. It was dark and the doors were closed. I rang the bell outside. Nobody came to answer the door. I opened the sliding door and stepped inside. A man woke up from sleeping on the floor and started screaming at me. I told him I had a reservation for 3 nights. He said they gave my room away to someone else. Check-in time was finished. He was extremely rude. I finally paid a taxi driver to take me to a hotel that had a room available for the next three days. I hope that my booking service gets the money back. In addition, the hotel was difficult to find and too far away from all the fun touristy things. I hope they get shut down.
Stay out of this place. We got a tiny, smelly, moldy room. And the we saw bed bugs in our bed. There was a nice girl in the reception that didn't know a single word in english and then arrived a man that was very rude and unpleasant. It was horrible, we noved out of that hostel in the middle of the night even though we booked it for 2 nights. Do yourself a favor and don't go there!
Small room but you get everything you needed in your room. No share toilet and locker. This is what I like. Price is reasonable. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Thank you for all your help. I will be back.
this is surely budget hostel, located close to city centre attraction like shopping, night life etc , yet quite and peaceful place to relax after long day of tours The staff of the hotel were helpful staff Best for students and backpackers .
We are into our 5th month travelling and this is the worst place we have stayed. The staff, without exception are rude, unhelpful, and unpleasant. The rooms are tiny and at 6ft 1" i had trouble reaching the only electric socket. The room needs decorating and whilst the bedding may have been washed it looked like it should be done again. My advice, just avoid the place.
This hostel is located away from the centre of Bangkok but is close to the river so you can easily grab a boat up the river to the main attractions. The wifi is good in this hostel. We stayed in a double private room and there was no space to walk in this room! The bed was just a mattress on the floor and we had to place our bags on the end of our mattress. The room was cleaned daily and there was AC.
The staff was very unfriendly and not helpful at all. The rooms are tiny, hardly enough space for 2 backpacks in the room besides the matrasses which are supposed to represent a bed. The whole room smelled because of the mould that spread over the as well tiny bathroom. The bathroom door did not close. The sink leaks. There is one electric plug in the room and that was on the sealing!! Who builds stuff like that??? Not worth the money at all!!! Really bad hostel. Do not book here!
